Excellent Customer Service and Genuine Help.

I had visited two other well-known garages within two weeks and was told that my car compressor needed to be changed. After having it replaced, I booked my car in for an air conditioning regas at Protyre Maldon.

I was really impressed with the customer service I received. During the visit, I was told there was still a leak somewhere, which was obviously very disappointing after everything I had already been through. However, the gentleman who attended to me was very reassuring and said they would do their best to find and fix the issue.

Within a short time, they identified the leak and fixed it. I was so pleased and relieved, especially after weeks of going back and forth between different garages. My car air conditioning is now working perfectly.

I left the garage happy and satisfied, and I would highly recommend Protyre Maldon for their excellent customer service, professionalism, and willingness to help.

Unprofessional Service and Incorrect MOT Assessment at Maldon Branch

• 6th July: I booked an MOT appointment for 11:30 AM, specifically planning my scheduled day off from work around it. Just 30 minutes before the slot, your team called to cancel. Cancelling with such short notice completely ruined my planned day off.8th July: My car was finally tested, and your branch issued an MOT failure for two "Major Defects":Headlamp cleaning device for LED or HID headlamp inoperative.Nearside Front Coil spring fractured or broken (Offside Rear Upper).Refusal to Help: When I asked your team if they could repair the vehicle, I was told, "We don’t work on this type of car. Take it to another service centre, get it repaired there, and then bring it back for the retest."Incorrect Diagnosis: I was forced to take another day off work to take the vehicle to an independent garage. Gratech 4x4 garage in
maldon Upon inspection, they discovered your assessment was entirely incorrect:The headlamp cleaning device worked perfectly; it simply needed fluid. Your staff unprofessionally snapped, "You should add water before bringing it here."The coil spring issue was completely misdiagnosed and written down for the wrong side/location. The independent garage provided me with a written report proving your errors.Breach of Consumer Rights Act 2015:
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with "reasonable care and skill." Your branch failed this legal standard by providing a completely inaccurate MOT assessment, causing unnecessary distress and forcing me to seek third-party repairs for non-existent or misdiagnosed faults.
