Having moved a few times in rented properties, I found ready steady move to be a fast and efficacy service. The estate agent was informative, friendly and went over and beyond to ensure that I got the property I wanted… fast efficient and a pleasure to deal with. I made a call to 0800 3213211 today at 13:52 and spoke to a really assy rude man. The call started very amicably and i liked the sound of what he was offering in terms of the price as i was in search of a unit in the Manchester area. It all went left when i asked what proof of ID he required. He said he required POA. I asked why he needed this because i will no longer be living at the address. He became defensive and attempted to be insulting . I told him because of the way he acted i will not be doing business with his as i felt his attitude stunk.

Quite persistent on the sales front, but good to get the introductory discount price. Contrary to what a few others have said, they do state the T&Cs of pricing, insurance etc, you just have to read the contract and the small print carefully.
Storage unit was easy to access, clean and secure and our stuff stayed dry and safe for the ~8 months we stored it there. The discount on Enterprise van hire was a massive bonus for us since we were doing some home renovation which needed a lot of shifting stuff around!.
There was a bit of stress just before we vacated as we were erroneously sent a notice that our account was in arrears and the unit had been overlocked. However the branch (Leeds) contacted us back about 10 minutes after I left a message, apologised and explained exactly why the error had happened and how they'd sorted it. The money we'd overpaid was refunded in reasonable time.
All in all despite the hiccup at the end I'd still use these guys again given the convenience of the location, the introductory pricing and the quality of the unit.

All good at the beginning but I ended my rental early because I didn’t need it anymore two weeks early I’d payed for a month up front so wasn’t expecting to get anything back but to be charged £28 for not giving two weeks notice is disgusting has they will have rented out the unit in the same day I will never use this company again

Don't cater to blind people. Don't accept trans clients easily. In breach of so many laws. Need I go on???? They are useless, not customer focused, and have total disregard to the needs of their clients. Consequently I'm reporting them to Trading Standards

I have used a few storage companies Access and Safestore UK and Titan for nearly 2 years now and Readysteady storage have been better than them as introductory offer not begrudged, wide open units eg 100sq units have double doors, use initiative to find genuinely best unit, rather than me having to say on inspection no good and then when about to walk say oh by the Way we have this, lift working well (access had 2 but one always out of order and on 2 occasions so was 2nd one which caused a lot of inconvenience to many) Wide corridors, trolleys plentiful and big ones are boarded up on sides to prevent slippage rather than ends grilled as is case at access and safestore which is so less practical for long things like laminate flooring and tight corridors (this is a big bonus when loading unloading as so much hassle not being able to load a trolley fully to avoid slippage )and plenty of normal trolleys flat ones available every time I've been, I travel far for this place and have had opportunities to move nearer cold calls etc but am happier here then elsewhere!
The manager Adam is best thing about this branch is hands on, polite welcoming and clearly appreciates your custom and has a very smooth run operation in progress, always helping out and doing shop floor things like putting cardboard in bins as well as management .
Big car park close to entrance and fewer units with pillar obstructions compared to UK storage which had a pillar and narrow corridors. 24 hour access even during covid .Just as clean as other 2. I was skeptical of whether this would be worth travel but unit and Adam makes me say definitely year on . So highly recommend you give them a try. Thumbs up to everything so far. Out of all if the things the fact that Adam has wanted me to have best unit available, one he would have for himself or fami.y and friends rather than a difficult to let one try it and see attitude;stood out. I don't usually leave reviews so that says it all,
I also saw very happy long term customers not those keen to get out of there, says a lot in itself. I’ve been there many months myself now . Security wise just as secure as others never had issue.Thanks to Adam and team.

Every person I spoke to in Corby were beyond helpful when I needed them, especially Shawna and Taylor. Replied to voicemails left and arranged storage for the same day when I needed it last minute. Emailed me all the details of where my units would be. Would highly recommend.

very bad experience! I was on the phone with Anthony. He 'took the time' to explain the different offers they have. 25 minutes pass and he wants me to give my card details on phone. He got pissed off when I said I do not want to give my card details over the phone and started yelling saying that he wasted his time with me and hung up.

Terrible experience at the Leeds Ring Road site. A 'system error' meant I had to split my possessions across two units on the day of my move. I then received a notice threatening to sell my possessions, despite having paid in advance. They were unapologetic and acted like they were doing me a favour!

Having had some fairly bad experiences at 'other self storage units' I wasn't holding out much hope ... How wrong I was !!
Not only did I get a bigger unit that was cheaper, the rental process both online and over the phone was absolutely painless !! I was treated as a customer rather than an inconvenience.
On arrival I was met by James who was super friendly and extremely helpful, chatty and went out of his way to explain things and make sure that I was happy, any questions were answered with a smile and he even took the time to explain what 'extras' my flexisaver gave me.
The unit was great, accessible and clean with great facilities making the entire move in process simply brilliant.
When there was a small question surrounding a rather confusing invoice James took the time once again to explain everything and make sure I was happy... which I was !!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend as this place ticks all the right self storage 'boxes' !!!!!

I arrived on site today and realised I hadn’t confirmed how to enter out of hours. James from Manchester helped me every step of the way and was very patient. Made the storing process so much easier. Facilities where clean and trolleys where available which made things so much easier. Covid cleaning station was in place so felt like they really did think of everything. Would highly recommend!

I do not recommend. They are professional in the way they handle your queries and complaints. But billing is crazy!!! They tell you the prices in weeks but bill you in months and do not break down the charges on the invoice. They also force insurance on you billed by the week. I have used storage a few times in my life and this is the first time that I am not happy.

Don't waste your time with this unhelpful lot, telephone staff are rude and patronising, almost seem proud that the price quoted online is complete rubbish. Firstly you need insurance the minimum rate is 50% the cost of storage per week, then they tell you you have to pay a deposit and instead of saying £80 they try and fool you by saying £19 x 4 payments up front. If you are like me and want a trustworthy no bull company stay away from these cowboys.

Had a mixed customer service experience trying to check in to our storage. Telephone advisor "Anthony" was rude and patronising when we called to try to amend our order, we hung up on him and phoned back to a much better handler who transferred to even more helpful local store rep (Leeds). We were trying to price match and/or amend the insurance which is automatically included on their orders with no (or a well hidden) explanation of how to change or add your own. The price match has been accepted at a third of the cost of the original quote. Will try to remember to update the review after actually using the storage!

A big thank you to Sharon and Vicky at the Great Yarmouth branch . Why can’t all people be as kind & understanding, with expert knowledge about the service they provide, helpful, organised, genuine, I could go on..... These ladies are an asset to the company and should be recognised. I rented 2 units back in December in the height of COVID, due to house sale and leaving the country. The only thing that went smoothly was hiring these units and getting my belongings in them . The ladies made it so easy, made me welcome, gave me a quote, explained everything, signed a contract, set up DD, bought a padlock, I moved my belongings on a trolley, into the units, job done. 8 months later, I still get an email with invoice, DD gets taken and my belongings are still safe. I never write reviews, but this company, Sharon & Vicky deserve a BIG THANK YOU ! ( sorry it’s taken 8 months, internet is a luxury here ! Taken 7 months to be working, not a smooth service ! )
