iPhone XR 64GB sold. After one week of silence, I had to chase the company for the payments which created worries. They were polite and replied very fast and the money were received. However, I had to go back to them about the postage they had to reimburse and that was sorted too.
Will recommend them to people in their own risk as everyone has a different experience.

The postage bag got lost in the post the first time they sent it but they promptly sent another one to me once I asked for this as it was over the Christmas period. Once they had received the phone and I had got a quote and accepted this the payment went through really quickly. I'd recommend using if you are wanting to get rid of old phones for some cash.

Creating the order was really easy and the postage bag was received within a couple of days.
I was contacted by email 48 hours after the phone was received with a reduced offer due to some cosmetic damage.
The next day, I received an email asking for an alternative payment method as there was a problem sending the payment by paypal but payment was then sent by bacs within a couple of hours.
So, there was a bit of a delay due to back and fro communication and a higher reduction in the offer than I think was necessary but overall a positive experience.

Got my order booked in a week before the new iphone was released, price was noticeably above everywhere else. Posted it off the day before the 14 day validity period was up. Was paid the full amount the very next day.

This is the first time I have used this site, and I couldn’t be happier. Very professional, my emails were replied to within the hour, payment was made the same day they received the phone. I would recommend this site to everyone, will definitely be using them again. 9556

I was offered a good price for my Phone 11 max, and I sent my phone in excellent condition in to claim payment. During the period the new iPhone came out and 2nd hand prices for old iPhones dropped. RecycleURPhones claimed my phone had damaged packaging and that the display flickered when tested. I asked for photographic proof so I could claim on insurance, but all they wanted to do was send the phone back to me. Not offer a lower price, not support a claim, just return the phone. The phone arrived back today and it is still in perfect condition. No flickering. All I can conclude is that RecycleUR Phone just did not wasn't to keep to their committed price. I will not be using them again.

I sold online Apple iPhone X and again received good service from RecycleURPhone. I have used them previously and will use them again in future. Thank you for your prompt service and quick payment.

I don't always take the time out to review a company, but I believe this review will be useful for those who are on the borderline of sending their expensive device to this company. My review won't be verified officially as I did not end up using their service, which will be explained below.

I put in a request to trade my phone on the Tuesday 14th of September and opted for the pre-paid postage envelope, thinking it would save me the hassle of packaging my phone myself. I've traded such devices in many times over the last few years using various companies, and I know that usually the packaging arrives in a few working days and there isn't any hassle.

On Friday the 17th of September, I had not received anything yet, and therefore contacted the company via email midday hoping to receive an update. They did not respond the same day and as it was Friday, that's understandable. They then responded to me Monday the 20th saying the trade packaging had been issued and if I did not receive it by Wednesday 22nd, they would reissue it.

I waited until Wednesday afternoon and once I realised nothing had come and my postal service was working fine, I emailed them again to enquire. I also stated that I know their company has a 14 day policy in which the quote is valid, provided the phone is received within that period. I had noticed that since my original quote, the price of the phone I was trading in had significantly reduced, and thus wanted to make sure they honoured my original quote as per their terms and conditions. I was of course anxious about getting the device to them as they had wasted 8 days of mine already, and I only had less than a week left as well as a weekend in-between.

Of course they took another 2 working days to respond even though their website states they respond within 24 hours, and by this time it is Friday the 24th. They say that prices are only valid for 14 days (despite me explaining in my previous email that the delay in out of my control), and again offered me the option of reissuing the trade-in pack. I knew that saying yes to this option would no-doubt mean that even if I were to receive the pack, it would arrive after Tuesday the 28th by which point my quote would have expired and they would offer me a much lower price. Instead, I knew they also had a recorded delivery option (which I should have originally gone for) and thus emailed them back early morning on Friday (after about 15 mins from their response) asking if I could please send it via recorded delivery and what their address is, so that I can get the device to them within my 14 days before my quote expired.

I followed it up with another email, but of course, no response. Until when? Tuesday 28th of course! When they know my quote has expired and they can offer me a much lower amount. They give me some generic response about "sorry for the delay in replying and that they offered me a reissued pack on Wednesday", as if that would have solved all the issues magically.

Now, I'm not going to say they did this delibarately (since I can't prove it) because they knew my quote would expire and the price would change, but it sure does seem awfully convenient that in the 2 entire weeks they had to receive my item, they couldn't get a trade-in pack OR give me an address, even though they obviously knew my quote would expire and would render the point of me trading in completely redundant.

In summary, there are much more reliable companies out there for trade in, who respond to messages in a timely manner, have a customer service number, and don't act in an obviously dishonest way.

Now, they'll probably respond to this review with some generic response of how the mistake is all mine and that I should have accepted the second trade-in pack, but none of that will change the pure facts I have stated above.

This is the first time that i have recycled any phones and have to say the process was really simple and efficient, I literally sent the phones off and had a notification they next working day to say it had been received and then the money the following day.
