Very happy customers

My partner and I have reserved our new home at Gascoigne park. We love the look and feel of the development- it’s not all red brick straight, lined ‘copy and paste’ like some new builds but is well thought through with different house styles and fronts and actually feels characterful (which I didn’t think new builds could be!)

Sally our sales agent has been so helpful, responsive and friendly.

We went to see our half-built house yesterday and we are so happy with how it’s coming along. Sally gave us so much time (along with our hard hats!) to look around . We can’t wait to move in!

Very happy customers so far :)

We are looking forward to moving into…

We are looking forward to moving into our new home. The sales advisor, Sally, has been with us throughout the whole process, she is very helpful and accommodating. We loved the quality and look of the houses and the development as a whole, it fits in very nicely in the existing village. The experience has made the stress of moving house much easier.

One very happy homeowner

I’ve just purchased a house with Redcliffe Homes and I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish they have been absolutely incredible. The build quality is outstanding and they are completely respectful of the surroundings. Every home has wonderfully well thought out features and a very practical layout. Their sales advisor Sally, has been incredible and so supportive throughout the buying process. The after sales care has been fantastic. A small number of minor snags and all resolved in a very timely manner, with a follow up call to check everything is ok. I could not be any happier to have chosen to purchase a home through Redcliffe Homes and would happily recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic housebuilder!

I bought a house recently from Redcliffe and was really impressed. The customer service was first class, the estate is beautifully designed and laid out and my home is fantastic. High quality workmanship from a great housebuilder. Highly recommended

AVOID at all costs!

AVOID at all costs!
We had a terrible experience with Redcliffe homes, straight from the beginning. We should have paid attention to the reviews on Trustpilot and regret that we didn't. We paid the reservation fee and were supposed to see the plot a week after we paid it. Less than 24 hours before the viewing, we were told our viewing was cancelled due to them accusing of lying about having an offer. Because of this, we missed out on the 2 week window for the refundable fee. When we were finally able to see our plot for the first time (over a month after paying the reservation fee), we saw that our garden was on a severe slope, rendering the garden completely useless. Not to mention the fact that there was no direct access (no gate) to the garden besides through the garage door, which is a complete fire hazard. Then, by our own discovery, we find out the land the house was built on had a soil test done which showed 30 different chemicals in the soil, some of which were carcinogenic. We then also found out that the land was severely close to a flood 3 risk zone. To top it all off, the sales agent Heather had a horrible attitude, made the whole process painful, and made it out like we were a nuisance, despite the fact we were going to spend copious amounts of money on the house. Extremely poor customer service and they refuse to answer your emails. I would NOT recommend using Redcliffe. A complete joke of a company.

Would never ever choose to deal with Redcliffe again

At first glance, the new Rowden Brook houses and the development are lovely. However, it's a different story once you purchase a property and move in.
The day we completed (already late and then delayed by a further week as the entire kitchen was badly damaged!) There was a painter still in the house, muddy matting all up my steps, I couldn't get near my drive and the cleaners were waiting to come in. The sales agent Heather then refused to hand over our keys until I'd snagged the entire property within an hour. Not a chance!!
We hired a professional snagger and I'm so thankful we did. We'd already picked up leaks from the boiler, a leaking front door, 3 sinks leaking and a set of bay windows which water literally poured through, but we'd have never known about the cracked roof tiles, or spotted as many scratched panes of glass.
Over 300 snags later and so begins the trauma of Redcliffe attempting to get them fixed and the continual chasing and arguments that followed.
Also be prepared to live through workmen turning up in your garden and digging holes without you knowing, trades people causing more damage when they come in, as well as continuous on site disruption. We've lived on a newbuild estate previously with Redrow, so we knew what we were in for, but maybe hadn't bargained for how poor a state the access roads would be left in, roads being dug up, drains eternally causing issues and really disruptive work happening at the front of your property without any notification... and all the mess then being left!
Not having to deal with Redcliffe would make the entire situation more tolerable, they're rude, patronising and continually lie. Once they have your money they show little interest in putting things right. I'd never ever buy from them again, save your money, the headaches and stress and go elsewhere. Not all builders are this difficult.

Redcliffe, It’s amazing this company is still in business

I have to agree with others here
Redcliffe are a terrible company to deal with. Right from the first contact with the rude sales person i should have known it was going to be a rocky ride. The quality assurance manager and senior team couldn’t care less. They only address what they want and ignore everything else. This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. They employ the worst contractors the industry has to offer and see nothing wrong with this.
The whole project has been poorly managed and at every level from the ground workers to the roofers.
I only hope they start sorting issues out soon. I fear solicitors may be the only way forward for me now.

Further stripping our landscape and…

Further stripping our landscape and villages of character and personality.

Don’t for a minute think one of these properties is a home. It is a product designed to make a profit, cramming as many identi-kit buildings onto a site as possible.

Terrible shame there isn’t (yet) greater regulation of these developments. We will look back on this period of greed and poor planning with regret as our children and future communities suffer the consequences of building on flood sites.

Discussed

I held back on reviewing Redcliffe giving them the benefit of the doubt, hoping they would honour their promises in fixing a number of dangerous snags, but now feel I'm forced to write reviews upon nothing being done to rectify. I'm discussed with the lack of customer service when you spend over half million pounds on a property.

Since buying, our front garden and much of the green area and roads around our property have been ripped up due to Redcliffe putting in the wrong size manholes, we've had a number of sewer problems, kitchen cupboard door has fallen off landing on my foot, a heavy glass shower door fell off while my daughter was in the shower, the banister became extremely loose and needed replacing (the replacement also fell apart in the workman's hands), I had to call a gas engineer out as the flames from the hob were about a foot high (turned out Redcliffe had set it to the wrong type of gas when installing!), a window shattered on it's own accord, door locks have failed, inch wide cracks appeared in the floor (which they say is normal!) ...I could go on. Redcliffe respond to emails only addressing items they want then ignore the rest. It's quite frankly appalling.

AN ABSOLUTE JOKE

AN ABSOLUTE JOKE. They brush issues under the rug and hope you don't find out (like leaking pipes beneath the house), their builders rush jobs, some of their receptionists at Park Place couldn't have shown less interest in helping, their management of the property is all over the place, roads without tarmac even though they said they'd be completed by June 2020, and the list goes on. My most recent experience with them has been dragging for quite some time now, as it involved a water bill that was strangely high for 2 people for less than 3 months, whereas subsequent bills that covered 4-5 months were half that. Wessex Water said it must have been a leaking pipe, but that they themselves didn't send anybody to the property to fix. Which means the people that lifted the tiles in my garden (without saying they were coming) and did some work to a pipe there, plus the people in the white van pumping water out of the hatch where the water meter is, were sent by the developer. But nobody told us, and still Redcliffe are denying they sent anyone over. They truly are a joke.
