Smooth transaction. It is an Italian based website. So it makes sense that when you go to their site it’s in.....Italian. Just go to upper right hand corner and switch the language to English. Not a big deal. Their confirmation number brought up my reservation up immediately on the Alamo Car Rental site.

I booked my reservation through rentit and then went to the Alamo site and found it as booked. When we arrived at Punta Gorda FL, they would not accept the reservation since they said we needed a foreign license. I could not find that requirement. Alamo canceled the reservation and rebooked charging us an additional $70 plus the fee of booking through rentit. I wonder if we had self-checked if we would have had the issue. I have notified rentit in hopes they will at least refund the fee we paid them initially.

FYI we were turned away at Alamo bc they said we needed a foreign license, because it was an international tour rate, I still haven’t found it on the small print even, but ended up getting a voucher for my next rental. It was a pain though, just beware, confirm with a person after booking.

I ran across rent.it as I searched for car rentals over the holiday break in Florida. Prices at other more well known companies was $200-300 more than rent.it. Prior to this search, I had never heard of rent.it. After reading reviews, I was a little hesitant to book because people were saying that their reservation wasn't found by the car rental company that rent.it contracted with at their pickup location. I took a chance just because of the major price difference. Right after I got my confirmation number, I went online to National Car Rental and found my reservation. I called National a week prior to my trip and they confirmed it. I flew into Orlando Int'l Airport at 11pm and the my reservation was found with no problems. I went to the lot, picked my car and was on my way. So easy. When I returned the car (to a different airport/Tampa), it was just as easy. No problems. The rate I was quoted was the one I paid. I would definitely rent with rent.it again. I'm not sure why they can get car rentals so much cheaper than others, but I'm not going to question it.

Absolute shambles of a company. Paid (over the odds) for an automatic, got a manual. Tried to complain and no response to 4/5 e-mails.

As advertised. I picked up my car at the Albany NY airport and it was waaaay cheaper than renting directly from the car rental company. Rent.it is recommended.

no customer service, simply no response and no way to get a refund. if you are from US you will find out that the reservation may be correct but do not cover what you expected. all hassle free reviews are either fake or from some very "lucky customers".

Website is legitimate. Just rented a car out of Boston for $220. The cheapest I found anything else was $515. Plus, rent.it included all my insurance fees! I will use this company EVERY time I need to rent a car.

I was worried about this out of country 'reseller', but everything went so smoothly. I got the best price by far. I got the voucher from the actual rental car company (which was a mainstream one, not an off brand), and everything went exactly as hoped for. I will come back to rent.it without a doubt!

Not sure who is giving this site such good ratings. The website is impossible and mostly not in English. I can’t navigate it at all. They don’t answer fast on e-mails and they don’t pick up the phone line in a timely manner. I sat on hold for 20 mins waiting on an international phone call!! I will never rent with them again. Still waiting on a refund for a rental i never used.
