rental was easy and fast. hope it works out at the rental counter

I rented a car on rent.it which ended up being with Alamo. The price was way better than other sites or with Hertz which I usually tend to book with. I saw some negative reviews so was a bit reluctant but I got to Seattle went to the alamo counter with my reservation number all went through perfect. The price was exactly what they told me which I’m used to rentals costing a bit more than they say tbh. I’d definitely use again. If you have doubts about them (in my case at least) they send you an Alamo reservation number that you can verify on Alamos site directly. Not sure for other rentals.

My reservation got messed up during booking, so my rental car was scheduled to be dropped off in the wrong place. I have no way to contact them because their phone number is international. Have emailed and it's been over a week and no response. Need to cancel this ASAP because I need to get a new rental car. Really disappointed in this poor customer service. Low price is NOT worth it. Probably a scam...

credit card system didn't work, had to use Paypal instead. to confirm reservation, you have to pay. paid $28 just to confirm reservation.
reservation was denied in Boston airport. reason for cancellation: rent.it sells international reservation that requires foreign driver license. Alamo computer system denied USA driver license, showing that reservation can not be used by US or Canada residents. left with no car.

Interface suddenly switched to Italian during payment process

Unstable website on iPhone. User is trying to enter into fields as they sequentially appear, and the website repeated jumps past uncompleted fields, ultimately laying an egg, because previous fields have not been filled out to completion!!! Eventually the booking website works, after the user is forced to cycle back and forth, to complete all the required information. Reducing the review one star now, because this review is not getting accepted either! Programmers need a pull on their chain....

Easy so far. Look out for date syntax and credit card info when entering.

Online process was straight forward and better price than every other car rental site.

I have used rent.it before. I was pleasantly surprise at how easy it was to rent a car at such a great price.

BEWARE - unethical and corrupt methods of doing business. Offer you what seems to be a good deal and when you arrive to pick up the car you are required to take out exorbitant insurance cover. They also take a the cost of a full tank of fuel even though they state the terms are that you return the tank full. What was supposed to be cheap car hire is a scam for selling you very expensive insurance. Avoid at all costs

Keep in mind, this is just a review of Rent.It which has provided me with a car reservation booking with National. I have not yet received my car, nor can I validate that I received what I've rented. As far as the ease of using Rent.It, I thought it was great. The price I was quoted for a minivan from National through Rent.It was actually $158 less in total than through National's own site, and less $234 less than the National rate through Costco.com. Hoping for the best. Sometimes deals like this are too good to be true.
