Appalling Managment
Wow!! Can not believe the care my daughter received at Manchester Peter street bar. Daughter looses phone on Saturday night, looks around bar. Leaves bar, tries to get back in but bouncers refuse, saying bar was full, ring the manager at 09.30am day after. Tried ringing but with no answer. Drove 40 miles to get to the bar.
Daughter Spoke to manager who said they definitely didn’t have the mobile phone. Daughter asked to have a look downstairs. Manager said no, they definitely don’t have it. Her phone continued to ping as being there but they still said no. Daughter left bar again to speak to police who advised to return and speak to manager asking for them to escort her down to the room she was in. The manager was adamant on numerous occasions that it wasn’t there and he had checked lost property. Daughter rang EE who confirmed that mobile phone via find I -phone was updated and phone was in the bar. Daughter returned and explained this to the manager who reluctantly escorted daughter into empty downstairs room, Daughter looked around in toilets and bar area. She asked to look at lost property - she was taken reluctantly into the security CCTV room where she was witness to many mobile phones. She then asked the manager how he could confirm that her phone wasn’t there. He continued to say it wasn’t there, however when daughter then rang her phone and alerted the locator her phone started to alarm. Manager continued to refuse her phone was there. Daughter asked to look behind the handbag that was on the shelf as she could see a light flashing as the locator was going off. Manager handed phone to Daughter saying “Are you happy now”.
Absolutely appalling behaviour. Please everyone if you have ever lost anything there report to the police. My Daughter is 21 and was left very vulnerable having to liaise with this difficult, rude lying Manager.
Please be wary and do not use this bar!!
Untrustworthy!!
There were 50 plus phones one may be yours.
Dire - Valentines Day obviously a surprise to them
Dire - so bad i actually felt sorry for the waitress. Booked the 5 tapas and 2 cocktails option at the Milton Keynes branch - first surprise i had to pay the full amount up front! I arrived and there were maybe 10 customers and 3 staff. We were going to the theatre so told them we needed to move quickly, so 15 minutes sitting around waiting for someone to serve us. When they eventually did first shock - they didn't have the ingredients to make a cocktail (consisting of Coke, Rum and Vanilla Syrup). Then tried the food, empendas ("we dont have them"), tacos ("we dont have them"), patatas bravas ("we dont have them"). We did actually manage to find five they did have for them to come back and tell us they didnt have the ginger chicken for the quesidillas but could do mushroom. That was it, valentines pre-theatre meal given up on. Hopeless dont bother with this place.
Good idea… poorly executed! Train your staff and make sure you have the resources and numbers to run the place!!
Went here last night for some food and drinks with an open mind having not read a single review and only looked at the website.
Place has a nice decor and looks impressive. Food it’s self was also pretty good when it came and was reasonably priced. Sadly they are the only 2 positives.
The restaurant is so close to the live music which was good, but so loud that you can’t here each other let alone what the waitress is saying. We ordered by pointing. This would have been ok if they didn’t need to come back twice to say they didn’t have what we ordered. I asked her to repeat herself and she just got snotty and said ‘don’t worry’ and walked off.
Food arrived. I went to the bar to get some more drinks as they didn’t come back and stood there for about 15 mins watching a few people bumbling around , unsure what they were doing and couldn’t find what they were looking for. It wasn’t even busy.
After the meal we ordered dessert. 10 mins after this a waiter came back and told us the kitchen was closed so we couldn’t have dessert 😂.
It was so unprofessional it was laughable. We left soon after.
Absolute Disgrace!!!
NEWCASTLE - Where to start...Hen Party of 10 with professionals all around, (GP, Nurse, Solicitor, Teacher, Chef, etc, most 50 plus so not rowdy at all). We paid £40 each for the cocktail-making class for 1 each. And if we can only make 1 each that was enough as they had zero alcohol in them. Told we were too drunk to make another but when we complained they said here have some free cocktail vouchers for your food table which makes no sense at all.
We were seated for food that was thrown at us, all 8 plates between 10 of greasy slop that my dogs would not have eaten and no drinks order taken. I had to almost chase the waitress to take our drinks order, which again was thrown at us.
This has got to be one of the worst evenings out I have ever had - avoid it at all costs. In fact go to Las Iguanas where you will be treated like Queens :)
One of the racist clubs
One of the worst and, in my opinion, racist club I’ve ever seen.
Been there a few times, but on new year’s eve, after waiting for 1 hour in rain, they refused to let me in, just after the bodyguard asked where we were from.
The reason they gave is that I wore “strange “clothes😂. I had an all black outfit, with a Raf Simons rare and beautiful vest-hoodie, Carhartt pants they labeled as “cargo-sport”, and black Yeezy. Just in front of us people with NorthFace jackets went in without a problem.
I’ve been to clubs all over the world, from Zuma Miami to Berghain Berlin. I never had a problem with my outfit, on the contrary they were appreciated a number of times.
My girlfriend try to talk to the manager, cause she was already in, he came outside, looked at me and said: this outfit is not for here. Again, it was a rather simple black outfit, totally perfect for new year’s eve in a club.
I don’t quite get it who makes them fashion judges, as he was wearing all the colours of the spectrum on him, and I can understand club rules, as I’ve abided by them all over the world.
But this had nothing to do with clothes, it was clearly a pure racism thing as I come from a country english people hate: Romania.
Although I love UK, I have business here, I spend money here, this gave me a bitter taste, and for sure I will never set foot in this club again, and I encourage all of you to do the same!
Go to a superstore and get a meal deal, better quality and more food. Merry Christmas NOT.
Cardif branch.
Never been robbed this bad.
£30.00 for a small plate of poor quality buffet food.
Do yourself a favour and go to a superstore and get a meal deal, better quality and more food.
Go and get ripped of big time if you prefer. You have been warned. Happy Christmas not.
Dissatisfying
I am not usually one to complain about my experience at Cuba Revolution, but unfortunately everything was awful this time.
I had pre-ordered our meals and I received a confirmation this was passed over to the Norwich management team before we were due to arrive. When we arrived, we were informed they were not aware of our pre-orders so we ordered on arrival. We were then waiting for an hour (baring in mind it was small meals and it was not busy in the restaurant) and so I asked if we could get these to go as we didn't have all afternoon to wait for our meals.
Once we had settled up, we were not offered any money off for the inconvenience and to top it off we were missing one side of sweet potato fries and the rest of the food was charcoaled like it had been sitting under a hot counter for hours. We are very un-impressed and wasn't able to eat the food as it was cold and inedible.
It was sad that no one came to check on us after 30 minutes to even give us an update as to why the food was taking so long.
Safe to say, I regrettably will not be returning for food anytime soon.

Milton Keynes - Poor food, poor ambiance
Came across this place as they are venue of choice for a business networking event and usually good.
Booked a table for 8 people on Sat evening, an early evening slot (745pm).
Firstly, they sat us at a table that was next to the "band" - it was just way way too loud. We asked to move and basically as far as away from the band as you could get. It was still too loud - you could barely hear the person next to you let alone anyone else.
Secondly, the menu was large but the poor waitress kept having to come back to tell us that items were not available (which also included salad as a replacement for fries!). The waitress really should have had a list of what was and was not available as ordering food was a painfully drawn out process.
Food was so-so - 17 per head for a couple sharers nachos and main course each. Not great value given that we could only have burgers or burritos.
Payment - as a group, was surprised there was no effort to bring card machine to table to permit each person to pay.
Overall this is not a venue I would use again for a group nor would recommend.
Side note: the on-line tool to edit a booking didnt work and had to email a request to change the booking numbers. A bit pointless really.
Turned away despite reservations
We reserved a "table at the restaurant" for 3 people - on Friday 23rd September for 7PM and received a confirmation of our booking. During the online booking there was no option to select "child or adult" and amongst many options we selected "Table for Restaurant" - see attached picture.
Upon arrival I was asked the age of our daughter. When I mentioned her age as 15 we were told that she cannot stay back after 8PM as this is a bar. We tried to argue that our reservation was for a "table at restaurant" and that we were not given choices during reservation or told about these restrictions. The lady at the reception was apologetic but adamant and turned us away. It was very disappointing because it was our daughter's birthday and we had to wander around the town to find place in other restaurants. We finally had to head home and cook for ourselves as we couldn't find a place in any other restaurants as we had no alternative reservation (moreover being a Friday all restaurants were busy or booked). Revolucion de Cuba should work on making their online reservation system more robust to avoid disappointing further customers like us.
Horrible experience at Revolucion de Cuba Manchester
I went to Revolucion de Cuba Manchester for business purposes (venue hire) and the manager was not even able to completely turn her body to us while speaking. She was extremally rude and impatient (I guess we disturbed her conversation with her friends at her workplace). I asked to see the place and she told us to go (she didn't make an effort to show it around or explain the conditions).
Horrible experience and obviously we did not choose this place for our events because we would never accept such disrespect to our customers.

It was so amazing the service was amazing. Joe was really helpful and very polite I would definitely recommend!
Southampton Branch.
1. Really understaffed, the waiters/waitresses were absolutely swamped, had to ask for cutlery and napkins etc.
2. Our food was undercooked, I had a paella and the rice was still undercooked and gritty. My partner had the sea bass and the sauce that came with the fish was sour?
We also ordered the beef taco, the beef smelled and tasted of what we can only imagine toilet cleaning products to smell like. (Honestly not making that up).
3. Best thing about the place was the live music, would go here for a cocktail but certainly not food.
Fabulous food and cocktails disappointing service
Fabulous food and cocktails, however drinks took 20 minutes to get to our table and the food took an hour. When trying to pay we stood at the bar for 10 minutes whilst barman dealt with another customer. Eventually after 20 minutes got staff to bring card machine to our table. Hardly any staff and think the restaurant has massively underestimated the custom generated by the Killers concert that evening.

I revived great service from Ryan and Michael. They went above and beyond and made me feel very welcome to the club. Thanks guys 😘
Expensive, unfriendly staff, low quality, and No Latin music for dancing. You will be feeling disappointedooked a table at Revolucion de Cuba…
I booked a table at Revolucion de Cuba Derby a week before my birthday party, I received an email from Jack confirming my reservation. Today 29th of April 2022 was my birthday party, the Table wasn't reserved nevertheless in spite of that they still charged 10% for service over the bill. The staff is unfriendly.
If you are thinking to go to Revolucion de Cuba to dance to salsa o Latin music, that never will happen, you only will listen to Latin music while you are eating after that there isn't Latin music for dance. The music is horrendous. I don't recommend going to this place, they advertise as a place to dance Salsa in Derby but that isn't true. There are many places where you can eat good food, better quality, friendly staff with better prices and dance to good music
Awful Rude Staff - A rip off
After pre booking a table for 7 that cost me £150 we were shoved in a corner behind the other side of the bar. All we could see was the bar! The bottle of gin and tonics aking with 12 disgusting shots arrived, no ice, no lime/lemon. All served in a rusty bucket, that apparently was also the ice for the drinks!. I asked if we could have fresh ice and got an awful sarcastic reaction. It was very clear I should not have dared to question them or inconvenience them by asking for ice and lime. We had nobody come and check we were ok, no service to order drinks. In fact in order to get a drink we had to walk round the other side of the bar as they wouldn't let us order from our side, I spoke 2 different staff members to raise my complaint. both very rude and unhelpful. Was told to email and they were not prepared to listen to me in fact they called the doorman and nearly kicked us out. All in all an awful disappointing experience where I came to celebrate my birthday. Ruined by rude staff and very bad service,
Hello Revolution De Cuba I would like…
Hello Revolution De Cuba I would like to raise a serious complaint about an issue experienced in your Nottingham venue 12th March 2022.
Having just brought drinks for our party at the venue, 1 of our party accidentally removed her coat at the same time which ended up with the servers drinks on the floor, not realising the server was behind.
This server came over to clean the drinks up. As community district nurses our instinct instantly kicked and and myself and another nurse began to help push the glass on the floor towards the server to sweep up. Only to then the server ran into the office complaining that our party had begun to kick her, this was completely untrue and CCTV evidence to show this had been reqursested by security but been refused to be looked at to verify the account.
Security arrived and requested the party to leave stating a staff member had claimed to of been assaulted. This left myself and my team completely mortified. The security was so apologetic, I can not fault them.
Our party was an NHS (community district nurses) group outing for a birthday celebration, we rarely get to celebrate occasions like these as we spend the majority of our life supporting patients and providing essential community care alongside end of life cases, the claim to of assaulted a member of staff was completely unfounded, we spend our working daily lives helping people and find this incredibly disheartening to have claims such as this made against us.
You also have a significant duty of care to ensure your patrons especially females are not placed in harms way and you had no reasonable rights for rejection.
Is this how you treat NHS front line workers?
I would appreciate for the CCTV to be reviewed and would like to hear back from the manager regarding this issue please. Not only was we left out of pocket from drinks we had to leave, we are so unsettled by this whole situation.
Not worth 1 star, left mortified!!!!!
Would not reccommend
To be honest, I was not able to get into the club per se. I was sent home at the entrance because my pants did not fit in their dress code. I asked why is that, and why can't I dress normally and not over the top just to have a good night dancing and I was told it is not their problem but I need a more fancy look to be allowed in, and tbf, I just left home feeling ashamed, sad and angry because I felt incredibly insulted.
0 stars.
Appearance and decor, as expected
Waiting staff- excellent
Music-good but to loud, well over the 85db that it should be, probably more like 130db, so be prepared to shout across a 2foot table
Food- basic low quality food for the price
Price. £70 for 2 meals and 4 cocktails.
But the worst experience was the mouthy doormen giving it all the mouth to me and my wife because we were stood inside. We had passed 2 of the gang and obviously this was the "final boss" and he was clearly in a bad mood.
