Over and above experience

We spoke to Alex about the LG G5 and he was very helpful. It was the information he gave that helped me decide to buy that television. The free sound bar was the icing on the cake. Duncan showed us how to make sure the picture and sound were in sync.
Delivery was within the time frame we were given, and the delivery company were excellent and kept us updated on the day of delivery. All in all I can't fault Richer Sounds and I'd have no hesitation in recommending them.

Richer poor delivery saved by excellent customer service

My order got pretty messed up in the delivery stage, a bit of a glitch in the courier companies system which I was unlucky to fall into. I was contacted by phone (hands down the best communication method for fixing issues) by Tom the Head of Richer customer Experience team), I have to say he really turned things around and stayed in contact until the delivery was made. I had given a low score due to the delivery service, but with the customer service shown by Tom I have amended this (and not at their request)

I was genuinely concerned to learn of the disruption and frustration this experience caused. You’re absolutely right to expect far better from us, particularly when you’ve planned an installation around a specific delivery.

This order was badly let down by delivery issues from the outset, and while that sits with one of our courier partners, we accept full responsibility here, the buck stops firmly with us. I completely appreciate why the missed store delivery, shifting ETAs and lack of proactive contact caused wasted time and additional cost, which understandably isn’t acceptable.

I’d like to thank you publicly for agreeing to speak with me, and I understand the TV will be delivered today, although it’s disappointing that it took so much effort on your part to get there. I’ll be discussing your complaint with both the courier involved and our Logistics Director to ensure a thorough review takes place.

Hopefully you can see from your own previous experiences with us, and from the many positive reviews we receive, that issues like this are thankfully rare, but I’m very sorry for what happened on this occasion.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Very friendly and helpful staff. Have purchased from this company in the past and never had any problems or issues. My TV wasn’t in stock and had to be delivered, happy with the service provided and they were on time and put the TV where I asked them to. Happy with product so far as only been a few days.

Fantastic experience in the Eton store

Fantastic experience in the Eton store. Really good advice received. Unfortunately the delivery was a complete disaster, the first television should have arrived on Wednesday, I stayed in all day only to be told at 5:00 pm that there had been a system error and the delivery would not take place. I spoke to Zack at the Eton branch and he kindly arranged for a new delivery on Saturday. This was successful and we are now enjoying are new television

Kurt and Dunc were fantastic

Kurt and Dunc were fantastic, communications were proactive, relevant and informative. The deal they gave me was even better than hoped for and my TV arrived the next working day. As the old one had gone Kaput, this was very helpful.

New stylus

Duncan was extremely helpful and managed to find a new stylus for my record deck which is over thirty years old. When I visited shop to collect it he was very helpful in showing me how to fit it. A pleasant shopping experience all round.

I can not fault your sales and service…

I can not fault your sales and service team as everything from enquiring about the television i was looking for to completion of my sale was first class.
And when I received my product broken your returns process was again excellent.
BUT
I would recommend that you maybe start delivering your products yourselves as DPD obviously do not take care as a priority.
My Brand new Samsung 55" tv arrived with a shattered screen and therefore has been returned to you and I am waiting for my full refund....

Thank you for your review, although I was so disappointed that after such a positive experience initially, things had taken a turn. Whilst we do now have a small fleet of our own vans, which service a small number of local deliveries, and offer us far greater control over our service levels, we operate these alongside several nationwide couriers to ensure full UK coverage.

It appears the store colleague sent the TV in question direct from the branch via one of these in DPD, in a bid to get it to you quickly on a next day service; however it would have been better for a TV of this size to go via a bespoke courier, which although would have taken longer in this instance, would reduce the risk of any damage as it’s a dedicated two man service. I will raise this with the branch manager and his team as a training point asap.

In the meantime, I understand my colleague Paddy Hall has been in touch and that you have now successfully received the refund. I’m of course very sorry for the inconvenience caused and hopefully if you use us again you will be one of the 98% of happy customers who review us on Trustpilot.

The original and best

Everything about Richer Sounds sets it apart and above other similar businesses. Staff are often very knowledgeable and always polite and keen to help, while the range of products, although not always as full as other places, are incredibly well priced and of good enough quality for most people to find an upgrade at good value.

I've shopped at something like 9 or 10 of their stores and can honestly say no bad experiences. Their open box offers, and the famous extended warranty they offer, are amazing for peace of mind - I've got so many incredible bargains through shopping around their website 😲

I wouldn't shop anywhere else for my audiovisual needs...
