Hilleberg honoured the guarantee for my 2012 Akto, where the groundsheet had failed, despite quite limited use. They told me to send it to SMG for a new groundsheet.

Throughout the process, SMG has been really good with communications. The inner tent arrived yesterday and I was delighted to see the really high quality of the repair.

Sent my KLIM gilet to have the zip repaired, had the gilet for 9 weeks, no contact from them, when I phoned them they were dismissive. As though I shouldn’t be asking where my item was, what a waste of time if you are in a hurry for a repair don’t send it to them, shocking customer service.

I have just received my jacket back this morning and it looks as good as new. Please pass my thanks on to your team - I am so delighted with your service and the quality of workmanship,and you kept me informed all the way. Fabulous service, thank you.

Sent my beloved ancient Schoffel up to Scottish Mountain Gear for repair as the main zipper had broken and the pocket zip was also caput. I received it back in the post today, a day after paying for the service and its perfect, as good as new! Thanks to the team at SMG, I am stoked!

Right from the beginning, from the first call, wonderful staff who showed they cared and reassured me that they will fix my Musto coat. Had 2 pockets that needed fixing and inner rubber cuffs, they did an exceptional job, really impressed.

Got my Musto BR1s repaired with them. Exceptional service, clear and easy to follow information provided by the team which made it a very simple and easy process for me (the customer). The repair was excellent and you wouldn't be able to tell a whole panel was replaced. It was factory quality if not better than OEM. Highly reccomend their services for kit repairs.

Very impressed with the quality of repair on my Eagle Creek backpack. It was covered under warranty and the process of dealing such Scottish Mountain Gear was very simple. Communication was quick and simple. The repair itself is perfect and the turnaround was quick.

I sent them my Klim motorbike suit for crash damage repairs (recommended to me as one of Klim’s preferred repairers).
They didn’t have any goretex materials tough/thick enough for the repairs, but they did have cordura which I asked them to use instead.
Great communication with Rona there during the whole process.
I’m happy with the patching and new waterproof zip, the standard of the work is excellent.
It’s not cheap and the process takes a few weeks, but with that in mind I don’t think you could go wrong.

Delighted to have found Scottish Mountain Gear, who expertly mended it at an affordable rate. The mailing procedure was straightforward, and Rona’s communication was patient and comforting.

Fabulous. I sent a jacket with a broken zip. It was seam sealed and they emailed back to apologise that they couldn't exactly seam seal it which is understandable. The jacket comes back and it's hard to tell it apart from the other zip, just brilliant, thankyou

A great company to deal with first rate repair to a pair of salopettes returned to back to me well ahead of time . Great price Great service if you need a repair or alterations to ski or out door clothing you will not be disappointed.

I bought an expensive Goretex jacket and after Goretex recommended Scottish Mountain Gear, I sent my jacket up for an alteration. From the first email, they were very helpful, explaining the process all the way. The alteration turned out to be less expensive than quoted and the return postage was just one day. I will happily use and trust this company again as my jacket was altered perfectly. Best wishes to Rona and the team.

Klim use this company for there warranty claims. I sent my jacket and trousers to them costing £75. Klim paid them to clean and apply new waterproofer. 6 weeks later I got them back. The second time of wearing them it rained and the entire outfit leaked like a siv. My mobile phone was in the designated pocket and got wet and had to be replaced. On reporting this to Klim I had to send them back to these mupets. Another 6 weeks later, after having to purchase more winter motorbike clothing, I finally got them back. No guarantee of the quality of work or if they will be waterproof.
This company has destroyed the relationship I had with Klim completely and I have purchased an alternative manufacturer.

Excellent service from them. They replaced a zip in my rather expensive Gore jacket. Fantastic job.
The replacement is far more substantial then the original and I'm sure it will last many years.
Its the zip that should have been used originaly by Gore.

Received great service from the initial request for a quote to a speedy repair to my Picture Ski Jacket and its subsequent return. Very professional job. Excellent communication throughout the whole process. Highly recommend this company.

What a great company, fixedy ultralight backpack even though the tear was in a difficult place, completed in super quick time and everyone was so nice.

I can't recommend these guys enough, if you need anything fixed get n touch....not only are they a local Scottish company, they are brilliant at their jobs.
