Montane jacket submitted for zip replacement and returned unfinished - pockets not anchored and seam not resewn. Had to push for them to pay return post in order for them to complete the job properly. One of the pockets still not anchored correctly. Gave up and had to break the anchoring stitching so one pocket wasn't shorter than the other, but now have to restuff it every time I pull my hand out.
Glue spatter from zip glueing left on jacket breast.
Wouldn't have wasted the money if I'd known what to expect. Left with annoying flaws on an expensive jacket.

Took my Barbour Goretex jacket to the Roadshow repair at Tiso on Saturday 5th October 2024 for repairs, an excellent job done quickly. Have put my old trusted Rohan in for repair & refurbishment knowing it’s in good hands. Thanks for your great work which will mean more years of use from these favourite irreplaceable jackets.

Recently had a need for a repair to my Rukka - goretex motorcycle trousers. From enquiry, sending the trousers away, quotation and repair and return to me was ten days. Excellent service with updates regularly during the process. Price was very good for the work. Repairs are excellent quality so I'm very pleased with the work

I'm highly delighted with the repair Scottish Mountain Gear did to my Musto Highlands Jacket, there was a small cut on the collar which they repaired to a very high standard .I would certainly recommend Scottish Highland Gear for all repairs . I needed all the zips on an old arcteryx jacket repaired and these guys smashed it! Gave the jacket a second life and I am over the moon with it. Very very good work done on my jacket and all official zips etc put back on to my jacket. Massive thanks to the team, over the moon with it!!

As the previous review I contacted Scottish Mountain Gear to repair my Musto coat which is nearly 20 years old, and needed a new main zip and some pockets repaired. Sent the enquiry form and pictures, then the coat and Rona got in touch and explained that the repairs would be paid for by Musto. All the work was completed well and all I had to pay for was a good clean of my coat. It now has a new lease of life. Thank you.

I just had two Schöffel jackets repaired with new zips. Both look brand new. Also, pockets repaired which had holes in them, to an extremely high standard. Quite expensive but well worth it for the standard of work. Highly recommend.

Just had my Schoffel cagoule repaired, all the drawstrings had perished. They were sewn in, so not a repair I could do myself. Scottish Mountain Gear were absolutely excellent, very helpful on the phone and the repair is first class. It feels like a brand new jacket. Although it seemed at first somewhat expensive to repair, it certainly was well worth it for such a professional job. I couldn’t be happier. Would recommend this company very highly. All done and returned in the allotted time and communication throughout.

The repair to my rucksack was so good I thought they'd sent me a new one. Brilliant!

Staff are accessible and very helpful, they replaced a zip in a Musto walking jacket, the repair was as good as new and impossible to see that the garment had been repaired at all. Would strongly recommend.

These guys are exceptional. I sent them my daughter’s Fjallraven back pack as it needed a new zip. From colour matching the zip, though to the whole processing of the repair, the service was outstanding. The repair is of the highest quality. I only wish that other services were as good as Scottish Mountain Gear. Thanks to Rona and the team for their service.

These people repaired my Fjallraven jacket which was less than a year old. The zip had lost some teeth rendering the jacket unwearable.
Instructed by the shop where the jacket was purchased my jacket was repaired by Scottish Mountain Gear.
They were excellent with their communication, emailing and telephoning me to advise of what was happening every step of the way.

Had an expensive ski jacket where the main zip and pockets had broken. It was fixed with no fuss and returned well packaged and looked as good as new. So much better than just buying a new coat as the cost was a fraction of that for a new coat.

We had 4 zips and 1 door replaced by SMG and the level of work when we got the tent back was fantastic.

I was sceptical as to whether to replace our tent or get it repaired and now I am very happy that we went with SMG.

They are my new favourite place to get gear repaired.

Rona and the team were able to do a smashing job fixing up the zip of my 7 year old Tortuga bag. Good as new which is a big relief as it's not possible to get replacement bags any more. The team were super speedy so it means I can take the bag with me on my travels in the next few days. Cheers guys!

I have a north Face goretex summit series shell jacket that the under arm vent zips started to delaminate from the jacket and a pair of Arc’teryx goretex shell trousers that the inside snow gators had come away from the trousers. I was dubious at first when the repairs were described to me, but went ahead with them. The repairs the guys did was first class!! You honestly wouldn't know either garment had been repaired, as they look as good as new!! The guys did an amazing job, and the repairs exceeded my expectations. The process of sending the garments, getting a quote for the repairs, then them being repaired and sent back to me was about 3weeks, but i only use them for skiing so it wasn't really longer than i expected, and for the quality of the repair, was def worth the wait. If I had a complaint it was that the way the repair was described to me, did not do the quality of the repairs justice.

My Fjall Raven parka was badly torn on the sleeve so I sent it to Scottish Mountain Gear to be repaired. I accepted the quote (not cheap) but the result was amazing! Beautifully patched and stitched, matcing the design and stiching of the parka perfectly. The repair really is almost invisible and it literally saved a very expensive parka. Worth every penny!!
