VCR were the company offered by the AA for a door repair after a prang. They were first class: friendly and helpful staff - job completed really well - can't fault them really. We would certainly recommend them :)

VCR went above and beyond to make sure I was informed throughout the process, providing updates. Provided me with a courtesy car whilst mine was being repaired. They even returned my car cleaned inside and out. Great service, highly recommend.

I would strongly advise thinking twice before using this garage.

Following repairs to my vehicle after a crash, a loss adjuster attended to inspect the work. The loss adjuster confirmed that the repairs were incomplete and left unfinished.

In addition, the vehicle was returned without proper validation or quality control. There was paint dust throughout the cab, and the overall standard of workmanship was poor. The vehicle should not have been signed off or returned in this condition.

Based on my experience, the work carried out was not completed to an acceptable or professional standard, and the vehicle was not fit to be returned without further remedial work

This place is a disgrace. The staff are extremely rude. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here for repairs. My car was sent in through my insurance, and when I picked it up at night, I couldn't see anything in the dark. Next morning, I noticed multiple marks and scratches on the bumper where the impact had been. They had promised to repaint the entire bumper, but that clearly wasn’t done. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this company—they are not professional and do not deliver on their promises.

Outstanding quality of work and first class service. Damaged my wife’s beloved BMW Z4 and immediately took it to VCR for repair. Really friendly efficient staff from start to finish. Repair is perfect, and as good as new. They even went beyond expectations and valeted the car. It was better than when we first bought it. Would highly recommend. Great company

If you've had VCR do any serious repair work on your vehicle, I'd SERIOUSLY consider getting it looked over.

I was unfortunately rear ended and insurance sent my car to VCR for repairs. On collection I noticed a dent caused by the workshop and some panel gaps weren't as they were pre-accident. I drove the car home and received a 4matic drivetrain error message. VCR then collected the car again.

Chris claimed the 4matic error was not accident related. I disputed this, he then said he would correct some of the bodywork and send the car to a Merc specialist to diagnose the 4M issue. The specialist told me VCR cleared the error and there was nothing to diagnose, the car was then returned to me.

I had an independent mechanic and a MB dealer review VCR's work. I was shocked to find out the repairs were done to an extremely poor standard. Broken loose exhaust touching car body (major fire hazard in a perfromance car), missing bolts, bad welding, holes in boot floor, tail light not sercured to car, massive panel gaps and a myriad of other issues.

Luckily, insurance have allowed a manufacturer approved garage to investigate further and they have confirmed a series of additional issues such as incorrect wheel alignment, bent downpipes & other lazy cost saving assembly on VCR's part.

I'm especially upset because having just became a father, VCR's negligence could have caused another serious accident by having me drive my family around in an unsafe car.

I don't think I'm that unlucky, this must be common practice at VCR.

Fantastic experience, getting my Jaguar E type bonnet repaired. From the quote, throughout the work in progress being relayed to me and final collection. Brilliant very professional and a great job. Very pleased with the final result.

Following a disagreement with a steel post, my mini needed some tlc. Who better to ask than Rob at VCR, he had me booked in with the work completed in three days. Lucy, Guy and Tracey all deserve a mention. They are a professional company and the work is second to none. I would recommend them to anyone who has had a prang.

The experience with this company was long and frustrating. I’d hate to have to put you all through it, so I’ll bullet point it and hope you get the idea.
* Company website says ( in two places) that THEY provide a courtesy car ( nothing at all about ‘depending on insurance policy’ ) yet they refused to provide me with one. ( Check for yourself on the ‘know your rights’ section on their website, and in the FAQ on their website)
* I brought my car to them on July 15th ( work was already authorised by insurance ) They told me work should be take about a week.
* I called them on July 21st for an update. They told me they were waiting for further authorisation from the insurance as more work was needed. At no point had they contacted me in the week to update me.
* Additional work was authorised by the insurance company circa July 28th. I called VCR to confirm. They said yes it had, but they were now waiting for parts from Germany. Again, no one had contacted me prior with an update.
* Called VCR the following week. Still waiting for parts, they said. No on called me . Again!
* Called VCR again, the following week for an ETA ( having been told by insurance that the ETA was August 20th ) Their response was less than convincing. Again, they did NOT call me with an update.
* Called VCR on August 18th to confirm 20th. ‘Touch wood’ was the response. This time, I asked for a call back to update me. Tracey agreed and indeed called me back on the Tuesday 19th. ‘ still hoping for the 20th ‘ she said.
* 20th August. Hooray! Tracey calls to say the car WILL be ready today. ‘ collect after 4pm’ she says. ‘I’ll collect Thursday morning at 7:30am’ I say. ‘Great’ she says.
* 2:45pm on the same day August 20th, Phone call from Guy. ‘ sorry, one of the tyres was wrong. They’re sending a new one tomorrow. We’ll let you know when it’s arrived and fitted’
* 21st August. Yay!!!! Email from Guy. Cars ready! .
* I pick up my car later that day. No one came out to explain what been done. No one cleans the car. Dirty foot prints in the footwell. Dirty wheels. No one is bothered about the rubbish service.

The more mathematically inclined of you will have worked out that VCR had my car for a total of 5 week and 2 days. No courtesy car ( that they should have provided) No updates ( that they should have provided ) No apologies for the delays ( That they should have done ) A dirty car handed back ( that they should NOT have provided)

That’s my experience. I see from other reviews that others are happier. That’s fine. But you should have the story of this company from every point before you decide to go with them.

Really nice people to deal with. There were a couple of issue with the repair but they dealt with them swiftly and professionally without any awkward exchanges. I would definitely recommend, and will use them again.

Unfortunately, I was involved in a car accident, but fortunately, I found Vehicle Crash Repair. From my very first interaction right through to collecting my car today, the team have been nothing short of amazing.

Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, and extremely clear about the process and what I could expect at each stage. Let’s be honest—having a car accident isn’t something any of us go through often, so it can be a bit daunting. But they guided me through the entire process, kept me updated throughout, and handled everything, including communication with my insurer and the vehicle hire company.

When I collected my car today, it was absolutely immaculate—like a brand-new vehicle. I couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve received.

Well what can I say about vcr.

I choose this place after a no fault accident I had mainly because it was local to me at the time the other body shops was rated more stars than vcr and I struggle to wonder why.

From the first telephone call with Tracey I knew I had chosen rightly. I was able to take my car for the assessment of the damage the very next day. Soon as u walk into the building the friendly atmosphere is there greeted my Millie explained everything and also sorted out the issue of excess while my car was looked at there and then for a body shop the place is gleaming so puts mind at rest your car is going to be looked after from start to finish.i was amazed at the turn around from that assessment they got the parts really quick the. Booked my car in for Monday. I followed the online tracker and my car was completed today Thursday which was amazing and ultra quick. Soon as I arrived I seen my car waiting and boy was I pleased the finish is amazing and looks better than the factory finish and also was given a valet which I joked about when I first took it as it wasn’t clean but on pick up it literally was showroom ready. So want to thank Millie and Tracey and all the bodywork team for the amazing job you have done and your a place I will use in the future for any jobs and I will also recommend you to all family and friends when your first class skills are needed. Nothing but max stars from me
