Five years ago Liam at Seico did a great job getting us a good mortgage rate - we are both self-employed and I didn't have 2 years of accounts, so it wasn't straightforward.

Fast-forward to the point that our fixed-rate was coming to an end and I'd already done a bit of research when Liam called, so I knew the best deal would be switching to another product with the same lender. Liam recommended the same mortgage without knowing I'd already done my research. So it begged the question, what do I gain by going through the broker? Seico signed us on for the deal I could have applied for myself, but was able to keep monitoring the market for better rates until the point that we needed to lock in - in that time the monthly repayments dropped by over £80. And the cost to us? Nothing, as an existing customer the remortgage service was free with Seico getting a commission from the lender - win for us, win for the broker.

Phil and the guys at Seico are the best! This is our second mortgage with Seico and more to come. The team at Seico are always thorough and professional and great to work with. They kept us apprised about available appointments to review mortgage options and always gave us the best based on our circumstances. Phil was honest and forthright - no games - this is what your credit score looks like and here's what we can sort out. With Seico it's just one initial soft credit check and one at the end for the offer. If this is our 2nd deal with Seico you bet we are VERY VERY HAPPY. My Mrs thinks I am smart chap not realizing it's who you know (Seico to the rescue always).

Seico were able to deliver us a mortgage loan from HSBC at a time when banks were pulling loan offers and raising interest rates, and Kwasi Kwarteng's mini budget was causing all sorts of chaos.
