came in today (friday)with a simple nail puncture leaking pressure . good customer and local but would not fit me in until tuesday next week. blank expression and felt an inconvenience.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! workers there are untrained and incompetent, never used a torque wrench to tighten my wheels which resulted in one falling off. Upper management at the company was unapologetic, tried to cover up their mistakes and refused to pay for damages. I was lucky I was going slow but if it happened when I was driving fast I very likely could have died or been seriously injured.
Poor
Car handle filthy, steering wheel and gear stick also filthy. Dirt smudged on my head lining and mirror. Alloys covered in bead paste and old stick on weights left there in a mess. Also couldn't complete my request to swap the replaced tyres to the front. Poor service. Won’t be returning.
Do not use this garage!
Do not use this garage!! They did my tracking and I needed new tyres after only another 2000 miles of normal driving. They said it’s just the way it is. The last set lasted 20,000 miles! The AA said they hadn’t even done it. Total Con! They just want to sell you new tyres!!
If you ever fancy being utterly ripped…
If you ever fancy being utterly ripped off, coupled with a millennial speak total gas lighting word salad to you, just pop in, you too can be charged £147 for changing a tyre that’s under warranty, apparently warranty only exists when they sell you the tyre, not when it’s such crap Chinese quality that it lasts under 16 weeks. They make up the prices as they go along, unfortunately after some heated words he reduced the over priced job down… Don’t go here go to Tyre Miles !
Sexist and rude attitude
I went in to this garage after having a flat tyre to get a brand new one, and I was only met with foul and sexist attitude. The guy at the front with longish hair only served me attitude instead of a quote, said he was fully booked and then when I asked him when he was next available, I was told they’re a walk-in garage?
How can you be a walk-in garage but be fully booked in advance? That isn’t a walk-in service to me. When a male customer came in for an issue, he was given a solution instantly which left me feeling even more embarrassed.
Brake discs replacement and stolen shiny wheel nuts from my BMW F10!!!
Went to Macclesfield branch for brake discs and pads. The front one were changed but very noisy. Took the car two more times but not resolved. Fourth time, changed all four wheels discs and pads. Never reset the warring light which I did to resolve after watching YouTube video.
Few days later found that the locking nut from the boot compartment is missing. When u checked the wheels all the nuts on all four wheels were rusty old nuts and none of them were locking nuts. Went back to selecta and was told that my locking snapped so they had put these. After informing their main branch they gave me 4 locking nuts but still denying that they took all the other nuts. The lug wrench was also missing. I am sure they have kept all the shiny wheel nuts and lug wrench and I ended up with rusty ones. I am sure they would have cctv and I am going to ask for the recording.
After having two new tyres fitted
After having two new tyres fitted, a significant problem became apparent but this was dealt with very professionally and a full refund of my costs to correct the problem was paid with no quibbles.
Rip off
Found great price for a new tyre, paid for and booked in online. Then billed £60 on collection for tracking I didn't ask or authorised to be done! Price of a tyre now more expensive than anywhere else in macc. Won't be recommending or returning
Macclesfield - Knowledgeable staff but let down by management
Although my review isn't great i would use again because im better prepared now.
Fitted well ie well balanced. Much better driving feel than the last set of tyres. Reasonable pricing.
Excessive wait to have 4 tyres fitted. Hectic location hence almost 2 hours from arrival, although i did arrive 10 mins early. I wish i'd walked to the shops now. Also, a bit of "up selling" eg. tracking extra.
I suspect it's more about hitting targets than bad management.

Great Service as usual from the Guys at Bredbury -MOT done 1st thing - car collected by lunchtime - have been using this garage last 4 years and would recommend.

A great service and top value from the Grantham Selectatyre team. The team sourced me a really good value tyre, it was fitted quickly, cleanly and with no fuss. Great communication, a smart, clean waiting room with polite friendly staff. Highly Recommended.

TPMS valve Scam!!
I have used Selecta Tyre for many years but won't be doing again. Had two new tyres fitted and was charged £50+ for two TPMS valves. Other reputable tyre fitting garages charge around £5-£8 per TPMS so beware as the price for your tyres does not include new TPMS valves.
Unfriendly and no apology for not doing their job properly
After fitting two new front tires and adjusting the tracking on my car I was left with a steering wheel that wasn’t level. I called to politely explain and make an appointment so they can fix this problem which took an hour out of my day and the cost of the fuel for the 15 mile round trip only to receive no apology for my inconvenience.
The first thing I would’ve done if I was them is apologise for not doing the job properly and also for the inconvenience of having to bring the car back to them but absolutely nothing was said.
I generally found the staff unfriendly and when I was given the bill there were hidden costs so beware of this place. I certainly will not return.
4 Tyres
Newark, Northgate branch. Quoted very good price for 4 tyres including fitting, ordered tyres and were happy to have car from 6am to 5pm due to work commitments. Exact tyres we ordered were fitted and no attempt to upsell, very happy and cheapest in town!
Keen to do unnecessary work and prey on the vulnerable
Macclesfield Branch. Sat 9 Jan 2021. I visited Selecta with a slow puncture, left car with them and 90 minutes later was phoned to be told "Can't find a puncture but you need 2 new rear tyres as they are both perished". This was an interesting assessment being as 1 tyre was 3 months old and the other no more than 6000 miles and 8 months old. Quoted price £290. Went elsewhere, puncture repaired for £20 and assured that all tyres in good road worthy condition. I sent an email of my experience to a Director, he assured me this would be looked into, however reading reviews here and on Google, I'm left with the impression that it's "business as usual" to attempt to sell people things they don't need and take advantage of the vulnerable. Please don't give them the opportunity, this is a despicable abuse of motorists trust at a time when they need some genuine help.
Visited the Ashbourne branch today
Visited the Ashbourne branch today. I needed a replacement for one damaged tyre not held in stock as it's fairly uncommon. Called at 2pm yesterday, it was delivered to the branch at 8.30am this morning, fitted by 1030am. And also the lowest price I found on line - twenty pounds less than Costco. Will be using them again.
Misinformed and poor communication
sent a car in today for a replacement tyre on a BMW fitted with run flats i requested a budget tyre and do not require run flat
I was told I would have buy all four at first as its company policy which I requested to see and then the call went dead to which I rung back and spoke to Phil (manage) to be told that they wouldn't fit me the tyre I requested and hung up again i then called back and Lee answered was much more helpful and said he would send me document i requested also told me its a mot fail to fit no run flats on same axle to which I have checked the mot manual and this is not right so I am now taking this further as bad customer service and misleading information anyone out of the trade would of been under the impression they have to replace tyres that are not needed I would like thank Lee for his help after even though they will not be fitting any tyres for me but as Phil is in a management position I would expect better communication and information for customers very poor
Excellent price, quality and service
Searched many places for quality and price, Selecta Tyres house brand came out = to Michelin's already on car but 40% of price. Also needed rear brake pads, Selecta cheapest by £30. Had all done at Macclesfield and could not fault service, super friendly staff and everything done perfectly. More importantly house brand tyres I would say perform better than the Michelin's taken off, this was noticeable within minutes of driving car.
I wouldn’t take them a wheel barrow…
I wouldn’t take them a wheel barrow they scuff alloys and damage cars also try to sell you tyres you don’t need absolute cow boys only had experience from the Ashbourne one but everyone I know has had trouble with them too
