Avoid Avoid Avoid

Avoid Avoid Avoid. This company has a policy of offering a good price for your phone and then re-valuing it down once they receive it. I sent in three phones (family upgrade) two working and a cracked screen but working Iphone. The two working phones were valued down which I would not accept and they then raised the offer which I accepted. The third phone was fully working but cracked screen, they emailed that when it was powered up it needed to be taken off the icloud which we did. They then told us that the phone was totally dead and waterlogged and it was worthless!! even though they had read the earlier screens about icloud connection. Fraud and being reported as such

Do not use.

Do not use.
They will quote you one amount then revise this offer to effectively nothing once they have your phone in their dirty little hands.
They will demand £6.99 to return the phone to you so you are stuck with accepting whatever they decide to offer you.
They now have my phone and are saying they will pay £5 for a working smart phone, screen in perfect condition etc.
Do not use!! Thieves

******* DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ***********

Please do not be fooled by their initial offer. This is a con. They take your phone then refuse to return it if you do not accept a lower offer. I have still not had my phone return. They said it was scratched -= it wasn't. My husband died recently and it is his phone. It was a brand new phone and had only been used for a month with a cover on it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT HONEST. I have now contacted Trading standards as they have now stolen my phone and are refusing to return it.

CON!!!

They said I could get £181 for my phone. Packaged it up and sent it to them only to be told, eventually, that the screen is "blurred and the casing has scrapes and scuffs outwith normal usage". They offered me £20 for it. It had been in a case for 2 years so I knew it was in excellent condition. Paid £6.99 to have it returned "within 2 days". I got it 10 days later. Took the phone to CeX. They gave me £160. Sell Smart For Cash, you are con artists and liars. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM!!!

Con Artists Beware!

I properly packed my phone and sent it off to Sell Smart For Cash, eventually had an email offering about 1/3 of the original offer saying that my phone had a cracked screen. I said that it would have been nearly impossible for my phone to have arrived with a cracked screen, due to the way I had packed the phone and that I would rather have the phone returned than accept their offer. I had to give them £6.99 for return postage. I did this and eventually my phone turned up. Believe it or not my phoned has been returned and funny old thing there is no cracked screen. Please do not use this company!

False advertisers

False advertisers, thieves & terrible customer service.I want to give them no stars but I can't.

Their FAQs state they will pay for any phone in ANY condition, working or not.

I sent them my broken iPhone, they replied saying it is completely broken and wont pay me for it. Despite highhlighting their very own Policy which states they will pay for ANY phone, working or nn working, Nathan (from Sellsmartforcash) keeps ignoring this and telling me they will dispose of it free, or I can pay £6.99 to have it returned.

You shouldn't advertise you will refund any phone if you don't honour this.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They beat all other quotes which is great. But the problem occurs when they send you an email saying they can't give you the original amount as they have found damage to the phone. This is all just bulls**t! They give you the option to return the phone but they want £6.99 to do so.... This is not all mentioned when filling out the forms to sell the phone to them. To save any more hassle I agreed to sell the phone to them at the much lower rate just to save any hassle. I have now been waiting 4 weeks without any payment and any more contact from them. This company is a massive fraud! I wouldnt even give them 1 star!

Do not use this company to recycle your…

Do not use this company to recycle your old mobile phone. They offer you one price online and then try and scam you by claiming that your phone is damaged or scratched. My specific example they offered me 88.00 for my HTC M10 but then changed their offer to 60.00 on the basis they said the screen was scratched - when it wasn't !!!! They eventually offered me 70.00 which I stupidly decided to accept.
Please NOTE - please don't use or TRUST this company or you will regret it. I can't make it any clearer than this !!!!!!!

Please avoid!

Please avoid!
They are very poor with contact and I know there was nothing wrong with my phone, the amount they were going to pay went from £41 to £10 or I could pay £7 for it to be returned - They look like they offer more but it would be better to go to a more reputable company offering less for your phone

Shocking dont use this company for anything

I'm writing this review for the only reason I had a Samsung S7 galaxy 32GB to sell . I came across this site called sellsmartforcash.co.uk. They offering the best price for my phone which was £153 and claimed same day payment once they had the phone . They received my phone on Thursday 12th July 2018 and I haven't received any money but I have received an email claiming that since the phone was scratched they couldn't offer full price for my phone instead they offered me £90 which I still haven't received from . I've decided to report them to trading standards as I've been let down and the service has been abysmal. If you phone they don't answer and only reply to emails if its something that suits them. I've used them . I've used several other sites for selling phones and never had a problem. Like someone else has written about this site ive only given them 1 star due to the fact you have to give them a rating otherwise it would be 0 out of 5

They only have one star because I can't give less!

They only have one star because I can't give less! Claimed my phone was scratched when I know it wasnt, said the fact the phone was on EE devalues the phone but the website didn't even ask if it was locked or not. Then offered my 40% of original value. So I asked them to return it (even sent them the £6.99 postage they claimed it would cost). They then offered £60 which I refused. They then offered me £80 + £6.99 that i'd paid. After 2 or 3 ignored e-mails accepting this (I was getting fed up by this point) and countless unanswered phone calls I threatned them with being reported to Trading Standards. Miraculously, they e-mailed me straight away saying the payment had been processed and would be with me in 2 or 3 working days even though they promised same day payment. I replied that if it wasn't in account by end of day the report to Trading Standards would be sent... oddly enough by 8.30pm I had full payment received.

I advise anyone struggling with this bunch of shysters to report them should you not get the service they offered.

JUST AWFUL

I can confirm everyone else's review - awful scam of a firm. What isn't clear on first inspection is that the company is trading as part of ISNS LTD, I suggest that you take a look at ISNS Ltd on companies house website.

The owner has a charge against him by HSBC, which can only suggest HSBC are ensuring they get what is owed to them before anyone else if the company goes under. Over a month after this ordeal started and numerous emails with no response, no payment and just as everyone else has suggested an email saying my phone was damaged and locked (completely a lie), enough was enough. I ended up phoning trading standards, citizens advice bureau and various other officials. I had to write an official letter, as he was in breach of contract (by not paying or returning my phone.) I threatened with small claims court and managed to get £40 transferred from them to me today (24 hours after threatening legal proceedings) , not the £52 that was promised, and not straightaway, but I wouldn't trust getting the phone back from this scam artist in one piece anyway (and he even tries to make money on returning your property.)

Good luck to you all, I would suggest threatening legal action for all of you with outstanding payments before the company folds. For those of you checking this before you send your devices off, it's really not worth the hassle, go elsewhere to sell devices.
