I’ve bin waiting 4 weeks now for my payment. Keep getting a very badly English spoken guy on the phone. Rang muiltiple times and keep getting fobbed off really. Never had so many issues before it’s crazy. Even if I had to wait for them to sell it on. It was an iPhone 7. It surely wouldn’t take this long. Plus I got £40 deducted from the agreed price online for a phone I had only a year. Nothing wrong with it. Crazy company. I darent ask for it returning as it might come back in bits. Never again

Sham & Scam

This company are selling your products prior to paying for them. This is illegal unless you have consented to type of sale, which I doubt. The whole setup is a sham and almost certainly a scam. Please beware of them.

Absolutely terrible company

Update - they got worse! I then transferred the money to them to return my phone to me, and they didn't despatch it within the 2 days they state. They also didn't respond to a chasing email after about a week, a second chasing email threatening to take them to the small claims court did get an email response. I am still waiting for my phone to arrive back with me 14 days after I transferred the money to them to pay for the postage....

Absolutely terrible company - online quote 60quid for used condition, actual offer when they received the phone 15quid. There was a small crack on screen, so i expected a reduction, but that much is taking the mickey - and they had no ability on the quote to explain there was a crack or recognise that. They also produced some reason that whilst my phone was unlocked my phone network was worth less - agains something they could have warned about or included in the quote. Basically they seemed like rip of merchants, using a high value to get me to send them the phone and then manufacturing any excuse to give me virtually nothing for it.

As MANY of the other reviewer said…

As MANY of the other reviewer said (actually I think ALL of them!!), this company is a scam, they put high valuations on the website, then they declare your phone have "scratches and is damaged" and offer you £ 40 (it seem standard policy for them, despite the phone or the model (or the REAL conditions).
Again.. if I was checkling here BEFORE I would never sent my phone.
Go for more reliable companies (there are few of them).
If I could have the chance to report them I would!!

Dishonest company

Their initial value of £ 95 was reduced down to £40 as they stated phone had scratches and scuff marks. This was simply a lie, phone was in pristine
condition. They came back with £70 after I requested the phone be returned to me. Accepted this as I didn't trust them to safely return phone back to me. Would never use again.

I would give them a zero star rating.

I would give them a zero star rating.
Working iphone with minor wear and tear scratches on back of phone and they reduced my offer by £41. They do not pay the same day they receive the gadget (I had to contact them) they also want to charge you £6.99 for returning your item if you don't take their revised offer. A complete shambles of an organisation and I will never use them ever again.
Steer clear people, I found an alternative who offered me a much better price.

Not the best by far

Unfortunately i did not read the reviews on this company before using- my phone had spent its entire life in a protective case with screen cover and sent covered in bubble wrap and cardboard yet when they received my phone they say ''it was scratched'' and subsequently halved the offer they had made previously. Obviously i could have it back but would have to pay £7 for its return and i am sure it would not be in the same condition it was sent? I have never previously had any issues before with Envirophone always paying the full amount and will go back to them in the future.
In all fairness to them they did keep me updated with regular mails.

Please please do not use this company…

Please please do not use this company They have had my phone for over a week, they have never once answered their phone, its on a answerphone loop that never picks up, I had to email several times a day and subsequently prove I had sent my phone my recorded delivery (thank god I did.) No idea what is happening now as communication has ceased again. I have reported to action fraud and 101 for theft. Please avoid at all costs.

A blatant scam

I totally agree with the other comments. After more than a month, my 2 perfectly working and undamaged phones were worth not the £43 they quoted but £20. Guess what? they were beyond economical repair and had damage. I briefly thought about going to get the phones back but they would probably suffer an unfortunate accident from workshop to counter. I will never, ever use them again and I feel I've been "had"

Please be careful with this company

Please be careful with this company! I stupidly didn't read any reviews and just went for the higher payer on a search engine! They will claim the phone is broke and give you half what you were originally quoted. They told me my iPhone 6s screen was chipped even though I removed the shield only to send it to them. They make up lies and will never pay you what you were promised! Never use this company

Worst company I have ever dealt with

Shocking company to deal with.

When I sent my phone away I was offered £120.
5 days after not receiving any correspondence other than the phone has been received I decided to contact them.

I was told my phone was now only worth £60 due to scratches on the casing. This I find hard to believe as the phone was in a protective case for its full life cycle.

I was then told that if I wanted the phone returned it would cost me £20 shipping.

Last time I’ll ever be dealing with this shambles of a company.

part 2 of email received

part 2 of my email Dear Joan,

Thank you for your reply.

Joan, our service technicians have rechecked your phone and confirmed " the LCD is blurry which need replacing and the casing to have few scratch marks and scuff marks, which does devalue the phone. "

The phones which are found to be in not good working condition will cost us to fix them and as such we offer our best revised offer along with an option to post it back. We send free-post envelope and offer the best price in anticipation of receiving phone(s) in good working condition.

As part of one time customer satisfaction, the best we could really offer for your phone is £50.00 .

Joan, we have tried our best to offer you our best revised offer. Even if you wish to sell your mobile phone to any other recycling company, they will also follow the same process of checking the phone and will devalue because of the condition it i s in.

As a mobile phone recycling firm, we receive all kinds of phones from brand new to used/refurbished and few of which are damaged beyond economic repair and as such we check all the phones before processing any payment.

If you are still not happy with the new revised offer and wish to have the phone returned, please credit the return shipping charges of £6.99 to the below account and we will post your phone within the next two working days.
Account Name : ISNS Ltd
Sort Code : 400731

*MASSIVE SCAMMERS* *DO NOT USE*

Sent a well looked after phone and also have had them tell me the lcd is blurry, which it is not, and lots of wear and tear, again which it is not. Sent the phone in the case I had for it so have asked they send it back in the case. I have also said I will take to trading standards if not sent back in the condition sent and will seek legal advise if this is not the case. So glad I took pics of my phone before it was sent to them. TOTAL SCAMMERS.

This place is a fraud

This place is a fraud. They take your phone and then claim that it is not working. Then ask you to pay them £6.99 to return the phone to you or they will recycle it. Nothing wrong with the phone sent, I was using it the day it went off in the envelope, and it was well packaged. This amounts to theft. If I pay the money into their bank account, I leave myself exposed by sharing my bank details. I have reported to the police fraud prevention team and await an outcome.

Don't trust or use this company to sell your old mobile phone.
They offer a high price to attract sellers which they then reduce on receipt of the phone, claiming that scratches etc diminish its value. They charge £6.99 in order to return the phone if you dont want to proceed.
This is clearly a scam as my phone was brand new and used only twice. In pristine condition, yet they claimed it had scuff and scratch marks, which it did not. They are not able to provide any photographic evidence of the 'supposed damage'. I shall be reporting them to trading standards.
