Rude manager and some staff not up to scratch, unprofessional garage, will not be going back or recommending this place .
This was at the Epsom branch of setyres.
The manager thinks he’s a bit of a bully .

Have said this before on this site, but have to repeat my feelings that the gang at Lancing Setyres are amazing. MOT completed quickly, efficiently and thoroughly (you can easily watch everything being done!) Have read the poor reviews on here, and can only say - go to the Lancing branch

F****** tight wheel bolts!
I had two front tyres fitted two months ago at the Maidstone branch. This afternoon I noticed that one wheel was flat, and tried to fit the spare wheel. I could not get the wheel nuts loose. I had to get a three foot bar and jump on it to release the nuts. Whoever fitted the wheel tightened the bolts with an impact wrench and totally over tightened them. Had I been on the roadside I would not have been able to loosen that wheel. The torque setting for my wheels are 90 lbf⋅ft not 200!!! Needless to say I will not be back. You do services on car as well??? You will never see me again!

Thoroughly unimpressed! Wanted some tyres that were on manager's special for an MOT next week. Had to phone branch because they are on short supply. Yes there are some at another of our branches it will take 7-10 days to get them here!! Beyond belief, how do they travel from one branch to another, by a toddler on a tricycle?? This will be the last time I use Setyres.

Ordered a new tyre and booked a time, the front office were polite enough and told me to follow a mechanic, a man who was literally fizzing with silent rage. He did his job, fitting a new tyre on the rim, leaving the white sealant dipping down the outside, a quick wipe being too much. I genuinely felt this mans anger, he said one word to me at the end, 'done'. Service was good value, I guess the smile costs extra.

The guy who changed my tyres today, done a great job was efficient & polite.
The jumped up little gobby 4ft sidekick will be the reason none of my family cars will be using them again! Rude, not funny !

The branch in Burgess Hill did a service on my car just after they had just passed its MOT. It drove great with no issues. Two months later, I had to scrap it because the engine was irreparably damaged. When my partner opened the bonnet to have a look, he noticed straight away that they had forgotten to reconnect the air filter, so I'd been slowly killing the engine.

Once again extremely pleased with the fast and efficient service and friendly staff.

Service was great, prices good too. Lifesavers!

Above and beyond service from truly genuine guys at the Tonbridge branch. Can’t recommend highly Enough.

They advertise that they close at 1pm, turned up at the Lancing site at 11.45 only to be told they are closing!

In Dorchester for a wedding over a Bank Holiday week-end - a flat on a car with only a temporary spare was a real inconvenience! Simon simply sorted everything quickly, efficiently and at exceptionally modest cost. Thanks to all involved.

Absolutley fantastic service. Came in to Hailsham branch with a flat tyre and 2 other tyres which were in bad shape. They changed the tyres straight away. Friendly, cheerful and professional. Have been a customer for years and they never fail us.

Went to braintree branch for an mot, failed on a couple of things which I repaired, arrived back to be told wouldn't be able to do the retest as fully booked, I explained that the car was needed for personal reasons and staff then became condescending and rude, and wouldn't be able to book in, maybe if Ieft the car with them over the next couple of days would fit it in somewhere, had to go to another mot centre and pay again , even they remarked that it wouldnt have taken them ten minuites to retest, customer service terrible , would never return or recommend

Needed two tires for my van. phoned setyres for a quote was told they had plenty in stock asked for the price of the budget tyre and was told £70.00.
Said I'll be in Tomorrow to get them fitted.
went in to get them fitted now they are £80.00 the chap said they were never £70.00
is this a Dishonest ploy to get business?

My first time at Setyres and I am an instant fan! Great staff, felt very comfortable and in good hands. Really chuffed to learn I only needed a puncture repair and not a new tyre! Based on this initial experience I would definitely recommend. Hands down a better service than anything I've received from any of the 'major players' in the tyre business. Just turned up and was back on the road in half an hour - you can get quicker (and cheerier and more professional) than a KFF!!

Horrible condescending rude man. I spent £20 on getting a puncture mended a few weeks ago on a tyre that I thought at the time would need replacing but they mended it and now I've just been told it does need replacing when I took car for its MOT the tyre should obviously have been replaced when it was punctured as I had said at the time but they told me that they had mended it instead- and NOW they tell me the tyre needs replacing, so the money spent on patching it was completely wasted.
When I tried to discuss this, I got a lot of 'Listen darling' type aggression even though I was crying by this point and then got told to Grow up, twice. Absolutely stunned to be treated like this when I was only trying to talk about the tyre as felt I had been poorly advised previously and wasted my money.
I literally ONLY took my car to this branch for the first time because the same man had seemed so friendly and pleasant when I had had the tyre fixed.
Absolutely no reason to take such an aggressive tone with me. He initially apologised when I asked him not to speak to me like that but then went on to raise his voice at me repeatedly and then tell me to Grow up, twice.
Disgusting treatment of a customer, I won't use again and would recommend people to AVOID, especially women.

Heathfield branch staff are friendly, helpful and know what they're on about. Manager there went above and beyond and saved me a load of dosh by removing the wheel locks from my car withiout they special lock socket which I had lost. Price for tyres was actually better than Asda or Black circle which I have always used in the past. Will use again.
