After trying several tyre shops in Portsmouth, I finally found Setyres Portsmouth, and I’m glad I did. Their professionalism, honesty, and attention to detail truly stand out. During my first vis... See more

I had been going to the St Leonards…
I had been going to the St Leonards branch for a few years for tyres and service/mot's.
I changed cars and had mot done. Failed on cv boots. Told them just to do the job.
Collected car later in day seemed ok, new mot triffic.
About 4 months later the n/s cv joint started making noises. Ordered two new driveshafts and decided to fit them myself.
On removal of the OLD shafts, all 4 gaiters were shot.
Not bad for 4 months. The gaiters were held in place by some random clip that had not been fitted properly and all the grease had escaped.
Thanks Setyres hope my £200 hard earned was worth losing a customer over. Won't be back EVER
Careless and Dangerous. Avoid.
Visited Hove branch for 2 new tyres and 1 puncture repair. On my way home I noticed that my car steering felt very strange. On checking the tyre pressures I discovered that the 2 tyres on the front were dangerously over-inflated to 46 & 44PSI & the repaired tyre 40 PSI air pressure. They had not even bothered to set the pressures correctly for my vehicle or even close. They also left sticky black rim sealant on my wheels. I contacted Setyres head office who clearly didn't fully read my email and suggested that I return to the branch "at my convenience". What would have been convenient for me would have been to do their job properly. I would seriously avoid Setyres who not only messed up but also don't seem to care about messing up.
Friday mid afternoon puncture

Setyres in Sevenoaks (Bat and Ball) get five stars from me - really really good service - they got an unusual tyre in very quickly and sorted it. Plus our Daughter and Daughter in law have gone there with small children in the car - with punctures etc - and the guys at Setyres were great!

Horrific customer service at Maidstone branch. Rude staff, whilst trying to explain what I needed (despite calling in advance and speaking to someone already) I was told to leave so they (two customer service persons present) could serve someone else. Disgusting attitude, avoid at all costs
Heathfield Branch is Outstanding
The shop looks like a dump but is staffed by the kindest, nicest, most honest bunch of car repair people I have ever met. They always suggest different ways of sorting the problem and are quick to point out the most cost-effective solution. I trust these people, they are lovely.....
went in with a puncture
went in with a puncture, he guys went out of there to make sure the costs were kept down and they saved the tyre.
very happy, will be back
Tonbridge branch - exhaust and catalytic converter
Used the Tonbridge branch to replace an exhaust which had fallen off and get a new catalytic converter at the same time on my Toyota Yaris (2009). Peter was so polite, knowledgeable and did not patronise me as a single woman at all. The cost was very reasonable and the service was excellent. My father and sister have used them for years, and I cannot fault them in any way. Would drive down to London again for their service as they are well trusted in our family.
Can not fault
Can not fault the Gosport branch! Helpful over the phone and in person. We was told by one garage that we needed all 4 tyres changed, with a very large cost involved. Went to the Gosport garage Setyres and they stated we only needed 3 and with the same tyre was considerably less money! I have sent my mum to these people too as I know they will not rip you off which is one of the main worries these days!

Beware of VAT not being included in the quote.
Decided to use their mobile service and was quoted a price over the phone. The fitter was excellent but was surprised when the bill was sent through in that the price quoted didn't include VAT an extra £100 on the bill. If I had known that, I wouldn't have used them.
Still waiting for a call back to discuss.
Fantastic service from the Hove branch
Fantastic service from the Hove branch. The team under Ian could not be more helpful. I will continue to use the company for all my tyre and MOT needs as they’re great value.
SETyres Lancing Business Park
Took my car for MOT and was given an advisory that my front brake pads were worn and that the brake discs probably would need replacing too, although they would have to take the wheels off to look.
I had a major service elsewhere only 4 months and 1,624 miles ago and at that point it was noted that the front pads had 10mm remaining (legal limit 3mm) and the discs were at 24.5mm (50%).
I am a light-footed, smooth driver so there's no way either the pads or the discs are even close to needing to be changed. In fact, these are the factory fitted pads and discs and have so far done 38.5k miles for context. So this advisory appears to be an outright lie, presumably to create some work.
In addition, customer service when I went to collect the car was surly. Not good and I won't return.
Burgess Hill,
Burgess Hill,
Took my car to have 2 new tyres, after some time and when the bill was to be paid i was told that they had Snapped the wheel nut thread, Just like that no explanation nothing as if I had bone it, not even a sorry.
I could not believe what they had done but more was they did not care, all they said was you need to take that back to the main dealer. Main dealer has told me that its 429.49 to replace the hub. I called setyres back to see if they are willing to compensate me and got a firm reply that is my problem and no point asking them for help as they cant and will not do anything. I would not recommend this place to anyone. discussed!!!!.

Dropped in to see Gary at the Lancing branch and received excellent service as always. Super efficient and friendly. Thank you

Great price for 2 new tyres but the balancing done on them was awful. Had the tyres put on Saturday and didn't drive at any speed home so didn't notice any problem until I set of to work on Monday. The car was undriveable at 60/70mph (Great on a 150 mile motorway journey!) and working away all week meant I had to pay another tyre garage £24 to balance them. Was told they had never seen so much weight put on the inside of one of the wheels. Car now drives perfect again.
Awful customer service
Relatively cheap, but if you expect any level of customer service then go elsewhere.
Fantastic service
Fantastic service, my little wagon passed with flying colours. Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Setyres.. my type of Company!
In July I had 4 new tyres with free valves brakes and pads fitted at our Lancing’s Brighton Rd branch and experienced significant tyre pressure drop on both nearside tyres after a couple of local drives and a returning Essex drive the following week. Despite returning twice for these tyres and valves to be checked the issue remained and by my third return the branch proposed a new remedy however by then I’d lost trust despite always using Setyres over the last 18 years. I emailed head office to advise my issues.... from that point the Deputy Area Manager immediately contacted me and from then to now I am a very satisfied customer. Sam listened to my concerns and suggested a way forward for me to consider. This included Sam giving me a practical demonstration of his proposals (as I have limited trade experience) at the Lancing Business Park Trading Estate branch at a time which suited me. With my consent, Sam arranged the relevant service and checks with another review a week later, by which time it was clear the nearside tyres/ valves problem was rectified. In addition he followed up with a courtesy call.
I count the measure of a company by how they deal with any customer’s issue which might arise later and how they take timely steps to address the matter to the client’s full satisfaction.
My trust in Setyres has been restored as I was treated respectfully and considerately leaving me feeling a valued and valuable customer.
