I took a chance on this company after reading the reviews on here. Wrongly. I should have listened. There is a reason this company avoid providing a contact number.

5 weeks ago I ordered a coffee table and it is yet to arrive. 13 days ago it said it was with the courier.

- Couriers contact number does not work
- Couriers website does not work
- Couriers email address bounces back
-They went quiet on me about the product and delivery of this from Friday to Thursday (today)
- No response on Etsy, email, Instagram, phone line

Update: Product has now arrived. Delivery driver was less than helpful. Product looks good but one corner of table not bolted in and I have had to treat it on 3 occasions.

In hindsight, unfortunately, I would have paid more for a better experience and product. My advice, look elsewhere and pay a little more for a much better product and customer service.

We are so in love with our table. Very quick with delivery and always available to talk to if needed,we would highly recommend.

Received our table and couldn't be happier. Due to wet weather we were forced to eat BBQ indoors but 10 of us round the table was perfect, we could have stretched to 12 quite easily. Both stylish and practical we love it!! Thank you so much.

I have had a response on my trust pilot review however you cannot reply to that. It was mentioned I sent one email and received a response a month ago which has been re sent: I have not been re sent anything and have emailed again yesterday and again on Etsy to still no reply. Excellent! We have got an amazing kitchen table delivered today. It was even custom sized for us. We ordered direct rather that through Etsy (who I don't like very much) and they have been excellent! My only complaint is that it was delivered too fast, so that can't be too bad. I think buyers should look carefully at the negative reviews as they seem to be Etsy problems, not Shabby Bear! I would really recommend them. Highest quality and great service and communication.

We are extremely pleased with our new dining table. It is beautiful and feels very sturdy and well-made. We went for the 180cm x 88cm size with the antique oak finish. The natural marks in the wood give it a lovely unique and rustic finish. The courier service was great and they brought the table into my dining room. Assembly was quite easy- I would recommend taking your time and reading through the instructions a few times before you start assembling. We found using a tape measure and a pencil helped us to ensure we put table legs in the correct place so everything was symmetrical. Kathy was very helpful when I asked about the aftercare for the table, and recommended products that were suitable for everyday cleaning and the correct polish for maintenance. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family- everyone who has seen the table so far has been impressed by the design and quality. The table is a beautiful piece of furniture that I can imagine us using for many years to come. We hope to order more from SBC in the future.

I would recommend this table highly to anyone who, like myself, enjoys a rustic industrial chic in their home. I have used the table as a desk and it doubles perfectly for that.

The shipment took a little while, however, I was advised about this. I would recommend ordering ahead of when needed (check details for time scales). The only other aspect to be aware of is that the wooden counter comes with transport beams that need to be removed before attaching the legs.

Overall I am very happy and the one question on assembly I had was very quickly answered via email meaning I could build the table in good time and work from it shortly thereafter.

Very poor communication. The orders were the incorrect sizes/brackets missing. Have requested a refund and i have to wait an awfully long time for them to be collected...

Purchased the bookcase, the item did take some time to be delivered but that’s because I changed my order! . However, it is strong sturdy and looks fantastic in my clinic. It’s a shame some customers have had a bad experience. I am loooking to purchase a second unit.

Poor quality table and terrible customer service. Ended up having to pay to return the table because there were too many issues with it to justify the cost. They didn't take any responsibility for the faults and we had to really battle with them over the problems and organising the return.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Do not give yourselves the headache if you can buy this furniture from literally ANYONE else. Our furniture took forever to arrive - this would have been understandable due to the pandemic but it soon became obvious they had little to no interest in updating us. We got stock COVID-19 responses to almost all of our emails, and no phone number is published on their website. They were slippery from the start, and we feel very lucky we got our furniture at all.
UPDATE: This company recently tried to block this review from being published and accused me of not being a genuine customer. Trustpilot has since confirmed that I am a genuine customer, and, like many other people out there, I just had an awful experience with them. They are a dishonest, incompetent and utterly immoral company.

I wish I had read these reviews before making a purchase with them. The quality of the industrial dining table doesn’t match the price that I had to pay for it.
The table itself isn’t well engineered, not much thought has gone into the design. Additionally, the fixings we received didn’t match. The frame did not match the top and we had to do quite a bit of manoeuvring to use it. We disassembled the table top and had to drill down the underside to fit the legs on. As far as I understood, this was not supposed to be part of the assembly and I received a late response when I contacted them concerning this. Additionally I didn’t find the detail provided very helpful.
Was hugely disappointed by the service and the quality of the table. At the moment, have a massive crack nearly halfway through the table. Perhaps this was supposed to be part of the table design but this was not my understanding at the time of purchase.
Overall, this was not the kind of customer experience I expect from a small family-run business. I have given them 2 stars as this purchase was fraught with disappointment and I am sceptical about the table’s longevity but ultimately we have been using it and continue to do so.
Would advise caution before spending on this.

I have to agree with the bad reviews below, especially the recent ones.

The communication by Shabby Bear Cottage has been very poor, and have had to raise with Etsy twice, just to get a response, as well as raising a PayPal claim.

We patiently waited 5 weeks for this table to be delivered. We've had the table three weeks, with issues from the first day (screws missing), and it is still ongoing, due to the lack of communication.

We have had numerous issues; wobbling, warping in two areas, rough edges and brown stains coming off of the top whenever cleaning it, which has in turn marked some artwork we bought. One area of the table top is soft and bouncy with bits of wood flaking off - their listing states the top will be smooth. We perfectly understand it's charming, used, reclaimed wood - however, these issues do not reflect that.

It isn't a cheap purchase, and if there weren't any of these issues, it would probably be a fair price to pay. So we are now having to go elsewhere, to order another reclaimed wood table, and will have to wait 4-6 weeks for this one to even get picked up and get our refund.

I have spoken to other businesses in this industry and they have explained to me more than the company itself has, about the causes behind these issues and what should have been done by them so they didn't happen in the first place.

Please be aware of all this before purchasing - I wish I had seen these reviews before I did.

No real major issues not sure why such bad reviews.
Contact with seller was prompt (within 24hrs).
Slight issue with order ammendment, thought changes were confirmed when they weren't and was unable to change size of bench before it went out for delivery however when arrived fitted in space perfectly however still Kathy derailed how if change still needed this could be sorted.
Courier not usual one due to Covid but was an excellent service made arrangements as order came in 2 parts around my work schedule. Couldn't really fault service and for the price quality of product decent.

We ordered a kitchen island from Shabby Bear Cottage (through Etsy) on the 3rd of January and it was delivered to us just today (within the 2 - 4 weeks promised with few emails about the delivery). They also were happy to make custom changes free of charge which was very nice of them.
The kitchen island is absolutely beautiful and looks much better than what we have wished for! We're now placing a second custom order for a kitchen wall cabinet, which they were happy to make for us :)

Do not buy from this company, the owner lied twice in wrigting about the delivery of my item, then when I wished to cancel my order told me they wouldn't as they wanted me to incur costs for sending item back, even though they had ample time to cancel the delivery collection. It is a shame I can add screen shots of our messages. I read a number of bad reviews on etsy before i brought my item and wished I'd listened!!!

UPDATE: ShabbyBearCottage tried to have my review removed stateing im not a real customer, after sending proof of our interaction my review has been reinstated. They have done this with more than one bad review. The company is poor please spend your money elesewhere.
