Frustrating Experience
I waited three weeks for my item to be delivered. If I'd actually been told that I had to wait that long I don't think I would have minded so much, but the severe lack of communication drove me mad. No answer to the numerous emails I sent and no answer on the phone line EVER. I found a second "customer service" number, but that turned out to be non-existent. I'm not sure how a business can function in this way. Unacceptable.

Wow I'm not sure how these guys are still in business, the level of disorganization is incredible. communication is nigh on impossible and I received totally the wrong part after waiting two weeks. There are lots of other bike suppliers out there who are on it so I would say make your choice! :-)

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SHINYBIKES
I patiently waited 10 weeks for shinybikes to send me some Northwave GTX winter boots. (ordered 22 november)
First they didn't have stock for over one month
They eventually sent them out during the Christmas period (but forgot to fill in the tax declaration form for Jersey so they were eventually sent back to the company)
I gave them an alternate address in London and spoke to customer service - Fraser (26th Jan) who confirmed that they had been sent out the week before on the (24th Jan)
On 29th of Jan - I receive an email from WorldPay issuing me a refund. So they LIED to me and did not even contact me personally to explain or apologise.
NO RESPECT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS
I phoned them 15 - 20 times and around 10 emails over this period to check up on what was happening. (no email replies whatsoever)

Bought a pair of Zipp 303 Clincher Wheelset on 28 Nov 2014 during the Black Friday sale. Recieved my parcel in early December. However, the rear wheel is a tubular while the front is a clincher. Had to spend my own money to return product after consulting with Shinybikes.
After getting my money and their wheel back, response has been almost nil. Emails are hardly responded. Its like striking lottery if they replied.
Its been more than 2 months and I am still without my rear wheel.
Horrendous customer service if there's even one in the first place.
If you Shinybikes is reading this please quickly settle my case.

ShinyBikes made a full refund for my missing wheel and the cost of shipping them back on 18 Feb. That was 10 days before they sent me a tracking ID EK258890875GB which remained as 'pre-advice received from customer site for export' forever. Before that, it was another week ago that they promised to send me a tracking number and that too was on top of another week that they finally replied that they have availabe stock. Above all, it was another 2 months ago that the wrong delivery was made.
The prompt refund was answered only because I drafted a letter ready to send to all the major brands that they carry about how Shinybikes.com indirectly tarnishing their brands through their mishandlings.
Good news is Shinybikes is real not a scam.
Either you get a good deal when you are lucky or you could be unlucky like me and others and the purchase turns sheety. ( correct spelling is considered too coarse)
Shinybikes, THE most useless online bike company ever.
So far its taken 3 weeks and still no order. Called them after 2 weeks and said it had just gone out - Lie. Raised a dispute via paypal to get money back a week after that. 2 days later they send me a tracking number, its just being processed through Royal Mail.
I'm currently building 3 new bikes and have been ordering loads of parts all from online bike shops and websites. Without fail everything has been here within days... except Shinybikes. The one thing I ordered from them is a bottom bracket bearing press which has now held up all my builds for 3 weeks and counting. They dont send any communication to say item being processed or shipped like ALL the other companies. AVOID these people, they really need to sort themselves out or go bust.

I have be dealing with Frasier at Shiny Bikes since 2008 and have purchased two Colnago frames, and Campagnolo groupsets and wheels and have been very satisfied. One of the standout bike shops on the web.

I ordered a stem for my road bike on 24/11/2014. Day after the money was taken out from my account. As it was the last piece of equipment to be put on my bike after getting the frame back in 2008 I was getting excited that finally the bike was nearly on the road. After a phone call and numerous emails I still have had no order or refund. We are now half way through January!!
Very disappointed with the service from Shiney Bikes.

Ordered 8 items in November. Hadn't received them two weeks later, called up, the chap seemed surprised, told me it was because of black friday and they were really busy. I ordered prior to black friday, so you'd assume the dispatch on these items would be prioritised. He said he'd get it dispatched, it turned up two days later, but missing two items. I called up, he told it was because they weren't in stock (when I made the order the website said they were in stock, I wouldn't have ordered them otherwise). He had to order them in, by the time he got them in stock it was Christmas. Come January I still hadn't received the last two items, I had to call up for the third time now, seemed surprised that there was still an order outstanding. I eventually received the rest of my order nearly 8 weeks later, even then the saddle I received wasn't the exact one I ordered. Can't be bothered to send it back. In fairness he was never rude, was always helpful. I'm more annoyed by the fact the website told me items were in stock, when it transpired they weren't.

Just received my 2015 Record Groupset in time for me to build my bike over the weekend only 3 days after ordering. Fantastic price would highly recommend.

Just received my new Enigma Etape Disc Frame. Beautiful piece of kit. Shiny looked after me on price and delivery was 4 days from day of order. I would use them again
Unresponding to emails, order a month ago and no item yet.
One more week and it's all about legal action and making my rounds on every review, forum, and bike mag site I can find.

I may have made a mistake buying from these guys - UPDATED (Resolved)
Bought from SB in the past - but not recently. In past I was very satisfied, not now. Order place on November 29th and credit card charged then. Frasier did e-mail me on December 18th (19 days after charging my card), to apologise for delay and said the order just shipped. He provided a tracking number and said I'd have the package in a few days. On December 28th I responded saying the package did not arrive and the tracking number does not work. Still no package or response and tracking number continues to be rejected. I've e-mailed again - will report on whether they respond.
I may have made a mistake in assuming my experiences from old past order would be duplicated. I should have checked here first.
UPDATE:
SB responded immediately saying the following and asking me if I wanted them to reship or refund - I chose a refund which they processed instantly. I've changed the star rating from 1 star to 3 stars since they initially contacted me about the delay, responded quickly to this review and my e-mail and I'm willing to accept their explanation. SB's response:
"We have tracked the Parcel and it has been returned to us yesterday from Parcel Force as the Customs declaration forms had been removed in transit. Yesterday was our first day open again after the Christmas holidays. We have been closed for the holiday period hence why some emails will not have been answered."

Great prices and friendly team
Bought a Colnago C60 and a Dura Ace groupset off Fraser. The best prices anywhere. The frame wasn't in stock (but nobody had them at the time) but I was pretty happy with the speed of delivery - ahead of what the guys had told me. I have since been back and bought another frame, all with good honest advice. I always phone as its a small team and email isn't their priority, but given the price advantage and the nice guys I speak to when I call, I can't fault Shiny Bikes.
Frame that never arrived.
Ordered a bike frame.Waited weeks for it to arrive,when it did it was the wrong colour.Sent it back the next day but it went to the wrong address.Shiny Bikes eventually received the frame and the correct frame was arranged to be sent.No frame arrived!Waited and waited! Customer services are just disgraceful! Emailed them,no response.Numerous phone calls unanswered.Eventually got through and was told that the Manager would be back in 10mins. Asked if he would phone me when he arrived back. Still waiting! Cancelled the order. Will never deal with this company again.

Good experience
Ordered a SRAM Rival 22 groupset. Right after ordering it, I realized I made a mistake on one of the components. After speaking with a friendly customer representative, the order was changed. I didn't get a shipping notice confirmation, but the order showed up in 6 days after crossing the Atlantic.
Worst Customer Care ever, no response and no delivery of order
Ordered my stuff almost 30 days ago. Still haven't received any item although stated they were in stock. Sent 3 emails to them up until now without any response or feedback.
Will have to revert back payment through credit card.
A shameful attitude... Not even sure they exist !
