We have quarts worktops fitted in 2020…
We have quarts worktops fitted in 2020 it was an awful first fit they had to come and do numerous repairs after many phone calls they came to inspect the two cracks in our work tops that we paid appro £2,500 for in a very small kitchen that was on 21 march 2023 they repaired the dreadful joint but since then we have heard nothing so I advise you not to go with this firm they are rubbish once they have got your money they dont want to know just a email might of helped
Shocking
his on my worst enemy. From customer service to kitchen fitters . So so poor . Originally went through quartz who pass the work to this company . Will be taken it up with them also . Was ment to receive a phone call from manager regarding some kind of compensation but surprisingly never did
Very pleased
Had our kitchen refurbished last week I.e new doors, end panels and quartz worktops. From the sales lady, surveyor, delivery by a father and son team everything went smoothly and efficiently. The two fitters Damien and Will were very friendly and worked really fast and did a great job in three days. We did have a few minor issues and they returned as promised and put them right in a matter of minutes. I am really pleased with my new kitchen. Finally all the rubbish was removed within two days of the kitchen being completed. A pleasant workforce all round.

If I could give this company no stars I would. First of all I had my fitting cancelled last minute, they rebooked for the fitters to come out & luckily I came home in time as they were about to fit the wrong colour quartz, rebooked again to be told last minute the quartz hadnt been delivered by the office yet told it was broken in transit by the fitter. We said we didn't need to pay for a gas engineer to disconnect/connect our hob as my husband is a gas engineer, still a fitter turned up. Eventually the fitters came and spent from 8am-9pm fitting the new work tops and splash backs. We had 2 lovely guys who I was told were experienced to find out on the day that it was their first day working for them. They worked hard however late in the evening I realised something was wrong and they were panicking, they had forgotten to put the hardener in when fitting the quartz and had cut the quartz too short on one splash back, they had also pulled all plaster and paint off our newly decorated kitchen, fitted us with a damaged sink and had got dried in grout on our white gloss cupboard doors and tile floors- the guys also were expecting me to pay the remaining balance to them in cash which left me feeling awkward when it had already been discussed with the office that I did not need to do this. I reported this to the office and they sent 2 new fitters out (again promised their experienced fitters) a month later to replace the damaged quartz and rectify the issues and fit a new sink. 2 new fitters came out, one who had just come out of the warehouse and one who had worked for them a few months, lovely guys again to start with until the main fitter nicky said it will only take them a few hours, they hadn't been given my new sink to fit like planned, he didn't need to replace the splash back and could top it to make it look perfect and then said tell the office we were here 2 days so we get paid to be off tomorrow and say that we replaced your quartz as I've just moved into a new place and will use it in my kitchen. I felt very awkward. When my husband got back (it was dark) he used his work light & we noticed they hadn't done half the things they'd promised and the splash back looked awful, broken a unit & taps not connected correctly. The next day in the daylight we saw the extent of this. I emailed dave and explained the situation, shortly after I started receiving abusive calls and texts from the fitter nicky because I'd reported him (and hadn't even mentioned about what he had said to me at that point). I told dave I was receiving these calls and texts to which he replied he's told nicky not to contact me again and he's just upset because dave had 'torn strips out of him'. We finally received a 40% refund for the awful splash backs & a new piece of quartz so that we could get it replaced ourselves and we left it as that. A few months later, faults started to appear with our work tops, grout coming out, chips along the edges and we noticed some of the lip wasn't evenly cut. I contacted the office and Michelle said they would send someone out. We have now had 6 people over the year come out to rectify the issues however have all just filled the cracks with filler etc which has within a few weeks come away but worse each time. We have had a couple of no shows due to office errors and many ignored emails. The work top issues have now been going on around a year and after being polite and fair- allowing 6 people to come out and temporarily bodge the job up (apparently senior fitters) for months on end we have said we dont want anymore fitters from the company to come out and would prefer a partial refund for the work tops so that we could get the issues resolved ourselves. I have asked to speak to the director for over a year but everytime there is an excuse as to why I can't. My husband or i have had to take over a week off in total unpaid from work due to their errors when it should have been 1 day, we have also had to disconnect/connect the gas a few times when it should have been once and thoroughly clean up after each time as my son has severe asthma and a heart condition which means he cannot be around the amount of dust it caused. I have not received a proper apology and the only option I've been offered is for their 'senior fitter' to come back out, take photos and then to come back and rectify the issues. I have no faith in this company or their 'senior' fitters and I've given them numerous opportunities to rectify the issues over a period of over a year and they have failed to do so. Every fitter has taken photos and I've sent photos, different fitters each time have come out and failed to fix the issues so I am not prepared to allow any further fitters to come into my house from this company. I am reporting them to trading standards and will be posting photos and screen shots on social media platforms to warn people about using this company.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
Do not, under any circumstances, use this company!
My 82 year old mother has just had her kitchen refurbished by Smiley; new doors, drawers fronts, sink & taps and a worktop overlay.
The company were constantly in touch prior to the installation, and were especially quick to collect the money up front.
The quality of the workmanship is absolutely appalling. The doors do not line up, they don’t close properly and one has been put in the wrong way round. The have installed taps that are not suitable for the type of water system in the property, which has resulted in barely more than a drip coming out of the them.
Once they have their money, Smiley Kitchens could not care less about customer service if they tried. My mother has been fobbed off with excuses for a month, told someone would return her call but that never happens and now she can’t even get through to them, to the extent that it even appears they have blocked my mother’s number. My brother and I can call on our mobiles but when we try from my mother’s landline it will not connect and we get a message to check the number.
Sadly my mother did not tell us she had had the quote and agreed to works and she didn’t tell us how much the cost was until it was complete. She has been well and truly ripped off! For the price she paid, she could have had a complete new kitchen.
I will be contacting Trading Standards and possibly taking legal advice if Smiley Kitchens do not rectify the problems soon.
It is interesting that they don’t have a Twitter page…presumably so they aren’t inundated with Tweets berating their ethics and quality.
Nonexistent service
The delivery & fitting of the first component went well. We then ordered & paid for additional panels. Two and a half months later, we had heard nothing. We then telephoned & were told the panels were in stock & that they would coordinate delivery & fitting. Then nothing but silence. Four months and no action and no communication. Terrible service.
Had our kitchen installed on 19th July
Had our kitchen installed on 19th July. Door handles missing, kickboards missing and cracks in doors. Rang multiple of times and getting absolutely no where. Was a man meant to come out to replace them but again was fobbed off. After care is shocking, obviously don’t care once they have the money.
A massive thank you to Smiley…
A massive thank you to Smiley Kitchens,my kitchen looks beautiful and bright. Our kitchen was looking very tired and worn well we have had it for over 20 years. We was going to have a new kitchen fitted then seen the advert in the paper. Our cupboards was really sturdy so we thought we would just change the doors and new worktops. The sales gentleman called round and wasn't pushy just polite. Then we had a woman who came and measured up everything she was a bit grumpy but did her job. Then a phone call off a gentleman with a fitting date that suited us as well. Couple of days before the day of them coming we had a phone call off another gentleman. So apologetic the doors had been delayed due his suppliers shutting down with covid out break. This covid got a lot to answer for. I felt sorry for him he genuinely felt disappointed for us. I wish I could remember his name. He gave me a new date. Day before a lady called to collect last balance ready for the next day. Two lovely charming men Darren and his son turned up and work hard for two days turning my tired old kitchen into a delightful place. The two of them are a credit to the company. Couple of days later we had a call off the manager David apologies again for the delay and checking if everything was to out satisfactory. What a lovely man sorry if I kept him talking for ages I told him everything that happened in my lifetime plus the kitchen has been done to a very high standard and to give the gentleman more money they deserved it.
My experience with Smiley Kitchens has been delightful.
Thank you to all I spoke with you should be proud of your company

Outstanding service!
I arranged for Smiley to fit my grandparents kitchen recently and they are over the moon with their purchase. The staff were polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The fitter cleaned up as he went and made sure everything was all OK before he left. My grandparents are especially pleased with the grab top doors, as they both have bad hands. The call centre girls were very helpful and talked us through the process and any questions we had. We would highly recommend this company!
Very Disappointed
All went well with the ordering and installation - money having been paid over. The fitter told me the debris of the old doors and panels etc would be collected the following day or the day after at the latest. No collection. When I chased all I got were excuses including the ubiquitous "Covid" excuse, continued to chase, more excuses - broken down van, staff shortages and so on. A week later and with my lawn turning yellow from being covered in the waste products I had to dispose of the articles myself which at 65 was not easy. Failure to complete their contract, poor customer service, plenty of words but no action. The experience has left a bitter taste and I would not recommend Smiley Kitchens to anyone. If you do use them then do not pay until the job is complete to your satisfaction.
very happy mam and dad
I am leaving this review on behalf of my elderly parents; they are so happy with their kitchen refurbishment from Smiley Kitchens. They could not speak highly enough about the workmen who have done a fantastic job. Also, a special thank you for the understanding and patience from the gentleman from the office who helped all the way throughout the process, Will highly recommend many thanks
😊😊😊
I am delighted with the service from Smiley Kitchens and the finished product is flawless. Our kitchen refurb was carried out with minimum disruption and with excellent customer service from start to finish (from the fitters and office staff), I would highly recommend Smiley Kitchens, They left me with a huge smile on my face 😊
Had my kitchen doors changed last week…
Had my kitchen doors changed last week and wow what a difference.
On the day a lovely chap turned up on his own and I asked is anyone with him he said no as it is only a small job. He got straight onto it with out any fuss. Unfortunately the wrong handles were sent with the doors. I called the office and spoke to a lady I believe was called Tara, she then put me through to her Manager David who could not apologise enough. He told me he will get the handles down by the afternoon, and true to his word they turned up around 3pm just in time.
What a service from a good company definitely recommend them to my friends.

Delighted with my new kitchen make over…
Delighted with my new kitchen make over I had done this week.
I can't recommend your company enough, had a call off the gentleman who came and done the work the night before to tell me what time he will turn up in the morning. When he arrived along with is young lad they both introduced themselves and put dust sheets and floor protection everywhere. They worked all day on the first day and half day on the second and left my home cleaner than it was before they started. It was an absolute pleasure having them in my home. I wish I could remember the names but my memory is not as good as it was.
Had a phone call of a lovely lady to see if I was happy with the service the next day, that told me you are a professional company and look after your customers.
A big thank you Smiley Kitchens
Linda

I would not let this company anywhere near my house ever again! 6 months after the installation the kitchen is STILL not complete. It has been a complete catalogue of errors start to finish. Kitchen fitted and freezer doors weren’t fitted correctly resulting in my freezer defrosting all over the floor by the following morning. We have had a cuppoard door actually fall off and when fitters turn up they have the wrong replacement doors and that’s if they even turn up when they say they will. After the install 2 cupboards were incorrect we waited 3 1/2 months for the right ones to be fitted. I think I have made about 40 phone calls to the office to get these issues resolved and 6 months later we still have issues! We are promised time and time again and nothing ever materialises.
The office staff fob you off and are dam right rude! They regularly cut you off as well hoping you will go away and then promise you calls back which never happen.
I’d give them not even the 1 star if it was at all possible.
Oh of course you pay half upfront and half once installed so thats why they don’t give a dam about their customers as they have been paid already. No one there has any idea of customer service and how they are in business I have no idea.
I have reported them to trading standards and citizens advice.
I have also told them today to come and take their doors off and give me a refund if they can’t deliver as they were supposed to have. The response was they are under contract to deliver a service and that’s just it they haven’t!
Save your time, stress levels and your money and go else where!
No doubt they will reply to this as they do all bad reviews blaming the customer (see other reviews they reply to the bad ones)
Never ever again!

Be careful if buying a Quooker tap
They are kitchen fitters who also advertise for Quooker taps . Their current newspaper advert says Quooker tap, fully installed for £99. This is misleading as the tap costs over £1500. The £99 is purely the installation cost.
Quartzize overlay
Had a quartzize overlay on my kitchen tops, really pleased, and workman very polite and worked hard, but after a year found a crack on surface that we don't use, rang, and sent photos to sales team, and factory, since March, now mid june, phoned many times, they just your money
ok here is our story.started with sales…
ok here is our story.started with sales rep eddie ,after the initial shock of cost of replacing doors and tops we agreed on a price of £5k .deposit paid and wheels set in motion.said would be fitted in around 8 weeks.after around two weeks we decided to fit an extra base unit so contacted eddie to arrange an extra door for it shocked at the price £115 but cant really odds it have to pay to get matching .he also said hopefully enough time to add it to original order this was 13th april.surveyor came and arranged fitting for monday 10th may.terms are half deposit with order other half a few days before delivery and pay fitter on completion.it got to the thursday before started to get a bit concerned that no one had called for the balance of payment,so i called them it became one of those i'll call you back phone calls (the ones where you know something is wrong) so mandy called back with a story that a fitter had left them the night before (allegedly) so could not do monday could they come thursday.a bit inconvienient as i had arranged a week off work and to fit in kitchen fitting monday/tuesday and having a boiler fitted wednesday/thursday.so rearranged plumbers ,mandy then called back to say they could come wednesday.ok all back on track.wednesday duly arrived and fitter anthony and his mate kevin turn up all good and crack on with the job.day one all good.thursday day 2 anthony arrives no kevin he has let him down .he carries on and manages to locate another pal to come and help him who arrived around 1pm.work continued into the evening as he wanted to finish the job as he had another one to do next day.it was then discovered the extra door i ordered had not arrived ,a call to mandy very apologetic but it seems someone cocked up and did not order it.the end of the job became very rushed as he lived an hour and half away and his wife needed to get to work.we paid him by credit card his fee and he went.now for the inspection ok we know the door is coming at a later date.we find that a length on the cornice on the top of the cupboards is not screwed down sealer has not been applied to one corner of the worktop and drawer fronts only held on by 2 screws instead of 4.some of the handles are not quite straight but you need to look hard to notice so will let them go my son in law who is a carpenter adjusted all the doors.today 9th june as promised fitter came and fitted missing door but he did not have handle or hinges so was a good job we got them from original fitter.incidently that door is slightly damage so will be on the phone in morning.he also fitted the cornice and put extra screws in the drawers and would be having a word back at the office regarding the quality of the work.overall it looks lovely and we are pleased with the result.be aware that joes doors and quartzize kitchens and smiley kitchens are all the same company.so only 4 star due to some of the quality in installation unfortunatly cannot add photos to these reviews.
Very efficient.
Called smiley kitchens today after having a kitchen refit and discovering a small leak under our sink. Spoke to a lovely lady called mandy who said she would call me back, within 20 mins mandy called me back. She contacted a plumber straight away who called us to arrange a day and time. This was completed within 2 hours of calling. Would like you to thank mandy on our behalf for her efficiency and great customer service. An asset to your business.
