I dealt with Andy. Initially I was sceptical but he quickly reassured me with clear answers and a simple straight forward process. I put my car on CARWOW for a price I was happy with. SMR Direct accepted my price and contacted me in less than 30 minutes. From dealing with Andy to Sean coming to collect the car couldn't have been easier. Monies transferred quickly too.

Sean and his team at SMR were genuinely a breath of fresh air. My wife recently passed away and I was left with her (stunning) car, which had both sentimental and financial value attached to it.

I couldn’t look at it any longer and couldn’t justify keeping it, so (on the recommendation of a trusted friend), I gave SMR a call. They are straight talking professionals - who handled this sale with the utmost dignity and respect to my wife’s memory.

They are much smaller than the “usual suspects” (WBAC, etc) - and operate a far more personal service. There was no messing around, or sharp intakes of breath; if you provide them with an open and honest appraisal of your vehicle, you’ll get an accurate (and fair) price paid to you, instantly.

In my case, they collected the car within two days of my initial call! I rarely write reviews - but was so impressed by Sean, Andy and Al (very kind and professional) that I felt compelled. People often moan, but rarely give credit where it’s due.

In summary, they made what could have been a fraught/stressful experience very easy - and were accommodating to my needs as a customer. Very impressive.

Two cars in a month!!!
The time for a new car had come and with all of the hype I had heard around SMR Direct, I thought I'd give them a go.
I contacted Sean and gave him a few suggestions as to what I might like (makes/models/specs) and it wasn't long before he had found the perfect car to fit my needs, wants and budget.... I happily drove away in my new car.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and my wife had an accident in her car... though she was fine, her car was not and was a write-off!
I gave Sean a call and discussed her ideal car. Within just a couple of hours, he had found the perfect car and had secured it for us. Just a few days later SMR Direct had collected the car, smoothed over any imperfections and given the car a full valet. They even delivered to our door and assisted in transferring our cherished plates. It was as if we had received a brand new car straight out of the factory.

With the testimonials I have heard and my own experience (x2) I just cannot imagine why you would choose any other car buying service.

WOW, this was easy. Andy made this process just so simple. He makes you an offer, you negotiate or accept, Andy sets a date to collect the car. On the date SMR look over you car and transfer the money agreed. I would definitely recommend. That's it. I would without a doubt use again.

This is the first time I have used Carwow to buy and sell a car. For the sale I selected SMR based on their offer and transparency regarding charges and collection. Also the CarWow broker told me Andy H was a solid buyer who was fair. Once Andy at SMR contacted me to start the process the communication from him was top notch. No delays, no fuss, this is one organised slick operation. Refreshingly, the car inspection was thorough and fair and I'm pleased to say we agreed on a fair price for the car. It helped that I had a good honest look around the car and sent photos to Andy in advance to allow him to give a good provisional price. Completely the opposite experience to the one I once had with "WeTryToMugYouAnyCar.com" on a previous car sale. Andy was polite, honest, efficient and courteous, asking if I was ok for him to come inside the house when I invited him to, for the paperwork (it was very cold outside!) he even offered to remove his shoes. This is a guy who understands his job and customer service and I have no hesitation in recommending him wholeheartedly. So much so, that if I sell a car again in the future, he would be my first point of call. If you are honest about scuffs, mileage, service, scratches and general overall state of car, you will come to an agreeable sale very quickly.

I found SMR when selling my car via CarWow. I was initially not able to know whom was buying my car presumably so Carwow was able to benefit from a commission. Andy was extremely professional, friendly and easy to deal with. He worked through the weekend to ensure the sale, which incidentally made me and additional £1000 over the dealer price, was completed smoothly on the day of collection.

Good communication throughout the process ensured that my car was collected from my home address on time without any stress. The collection driver spent 30 minutes noting all defects with car before approaching me to discuss the larger issues. One issue was a scratch on the front wing. Whilst the driver had told Andy he could get his nail inside, I disagreed and told Andy I could T-Cut the scratch out. After sending a further photo to Andy the scratch was forgotten about and funds transferred immediately.

In addition to this my BMW finance was paid off within 24 hours with Andy immediately sending me images of both the transaction to my bank and to BMW finance.

Overall, this was probably the easiest car sale I've ever done, and as a car lover I've done a few.

If you're thinking about using SMR to sell your car, I couldn't recommend them enough, I was very impressed.
