This phone service is cheap for a…

This phone service is cheap for a reason. I tried there 6 month service because I thought it was pretty cheap and it can't be that bad. Boy was I wrong. This is one of the worse service you'll ever get. It works when it wants to and no one can contact you with this piece of crap. Somebody texted you today and it will get to you tomorrow. Got an important call. Too bad your phone will not received it with there crappy service. The only thing this is good for is wasting your money. Don't do it. Just stick with cricket or mint mobile if your on a budget.

I purchased the smartwatch Sim

I purchased the smartwatch Sim speed talk $5 plan for my SmartWatch on the 10th of December.. ever since I inserted the same chip into my watch I have not been able to access the internet or use any internet related apps.. when I called the company the customer service agent stated that I used all of my data the 100 GB of data and that's why I can't use my internet because it's suspended because I used all the data.. I told him that is not possible because ever since day one from minute one since I inserted the Sim chip into my watch I have not been able to access the internet or any internet related apps he said it must have been from a background app running but that's a lie because I have never been able to use the internet I tried from the moment I inserted the same chip and I have not been able to access the internet they swear up and down that I have used all my data I'm very disappointed with this company and that's why I'm leaving a one-star and I'll be changing carriers

Paid for Service That Can't Even Be Activated -

Highly disappointed.  I received the nano SIM for the prepaid service I ordered for my daughters smartwatch but went through an endless array of hoops trying to get it activated.  The website for activation of new service is non-functional (at least it was for me).  Followed by unsuccessful attempts to activate new service online, I call in only to hear the repetitive and constant message of 'please wait', literally as soon as the message ended it replayed itself.  Finally, once I got to someone, I was informed only after purchasing my first month of pre-paid service, that in order to activate I had to provide credit card information for ongoing billing.  This expectation and requirement wasn't stated anywhere online.  I don't know the quality of their service or if it would meet our needs given the spotty coverage.  There was no way around it, so the 30 day service I've already paid for is rendered unusable and useless because I have no way of activating it.

Don’t use them!!!!

Don’t use them!!!!!

Here are the 3 reasons to stay away.

1) They require you to input your credit card to activate. There are reasons why they want you to do that. See #2.

2) They auto refilled the SIM card, even though I checked off no to auto refill. So I lost money.

3) They do not protect your digital information. I bought 3 sim cards for my kids for vacation. Required 3 different credit cards to activate. This week, 2 of my 3 credit cards have been compromised. Just waiting for the last one to be fraudulently used. I definitely know it’s Speedtalk because I had to use a very seldom to almost never used credit card to activate the SIM cards.

Learn from my lesson and stay away!

Beware - Unauthorized Billing

I signed up for the use of their service for a 1 month trial and was informed that unless I elected to continue my service after 1 month there would be no further billing. I did not elect to do so but they "autobilled" me for a second month. As soon as I recevied the billing notification via email I called customer support. Informed them that I did not want to use their service for a 2nd month and to refund the charges against my credit card. Customer support refused to do so stating that I should have informed them before the billing took place. They were not suppose to bill me in advance to begin with unless I expressly notify them that I wanted to continue to use their service by applying for further usage.

This is a common ploy used by unethical companies who care little for keeping the good will of their customers. DO NOT give them your business!

Credit Card Scammers

I bought a 1 year pre-paid plan. The transaction finalized and they accepted my payment in full. Then I received an email asking me to sign a general credit card authorization form that says I will be responsible for additional "charges" and "incurred debts". There shouldn't be any additional charges or incurred debts on a prepaid plan, and I wouldn't need to renew for an entire year, so I wouldn't need to have them keep that card on file. I explained all of this to the customer service, and they stated that they were doing this for "security/verification" purposes. However, security/verification purposes wouldn't require me to sign a credit card authorization contract. Also, the transaction went through so this wouldn't help. They then told me if I wouldn't sign the form, they wouldn't process my order and didn't want me as a customer even though I already made a purchase. They were fraudulently adding new conditions to my purchase after I already made it. At best, this was an awful experience. But more than likely, they were going to make additional charges against my account and say that "I agreed to the charges". The form they wanted me to sign wouldn't enable them to verify my identity for "security". Total scam. I would avoid SpeedTalk because no reputable business will ask you to authorize additional charges or enter into another contract after you already paid for a product, and if you don't, tell you they're refunding you're order. What a bunch of scammers. Customer service kept trying to gaslight me and act like they were performing some sort of "security verification", and if I was a "legitimate customer", I'd simply agree to sign the form. It would appear they're hunting for victims. They declined to tell me what these additional charges or what "debts incurred" could be.

Lost my phone number because they screwed up

We have 2 phones used for verification with our bank. The bank requires a phone to verify transactions by a call. $5 / month if fine for this.

When our old credit card expired I called and had them change to the new credit card number. It took about 20 minutes and I was assured it was done. (Their web site wouldn't let me do this for technical reasons)

It turns out the next time we needed to do a verification on an account the phone was disconnected.

I called to find out what the problem was and they said I had lost the number for not paying. THEY HAD ONLY APPLIED THE NEW CREDIT CARD TO ONE OF THE LINES AND LET THE OTHER ONE LAPSE. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD WANT THE MONEY.

By this time they said there was nothing they could do, it had been more than 90 days since they had let it lapse.

They said they could not get the number back (we had had it for over 30 years).

I checked with the FCC and they said if it was their fault they had to get it back so I filed a complaint.

They no longer answer my emails.

Speedtalk mobile steals your money

Speedtalk mobile has a great automated system for reminding you to pay when your account is due. But no customer service to assist you when the sim card doesn't work and you are unable to use the phone number. Knowing that some company is with its hands deep in your wallet and doesn't offer any service in exchange, is very offending.

WORST ALL AROUND SERVICE EVER!!!

I changed my family's service to Speed Talk. Biggest waste of money you will ever spend!! Voice and data are the worst, even in a lot of big cities. Do your research and shop. I pert recommend Visible run and totally controlled by Verizon. A total and VERY RELIABLE service. Guarantee you will not be disappointed!! If you can't use your phone anytime you want to is really worth it!! If this helps just one person I've done my job. But I feel there are more out there. Hope this helps someone, wish everyone the VERY BEST!!
