I had a delivery from Squires today.
Jason who delivered the goods, was so helpful and kind.
I was so grateful to him for bringing the compost etc through the back gate. Many thanks Jason!

Excellent service. We have been to squires garden centre- Stanmore branch on a Friday evening and we’re quite new to gardening. Tina Sales assistant from plant area, didn’t even rush us as it’s closing time instead she helped us choose the right plants for North facing garden which gets very less sunlight. She has excellent knowledge on all types of plants and asked us few questions regarding the interests what we wish to have in our garden and gave advice accordingly. Thank you so much Tina.

We purchased two Hellebores last year around Spring time - both were in good sized pots - both were double flowers - neither thrived, neither survived. We examined the pots when it became clear that nothing was going to grow in the pots. Both pots were full of orange eggs - so clearly the soil was contaminated when we purchased them. At over £12 per pot that is just wrong. How can we trust Squires (Stanmore) when their quality control is so poor. One further point. If we had planted them out the contagion would have spread and potentially, destroyed our garden.

Long Ditton cafe - total joke, dirty table and no one bothered to clean, 3 people who came after were served before us, app does not work yet takes your money. Server needs to learn to smile, so called manager James needs to gain a brain and some customer service skills.
The worst service I have encountered anywhere especially when paying almost £30 for 2 x toasted sandwiches with chips and 2 x cokes, so many independent cafes that deserve business rather than this joke.

A great garden centre in a beautiful part of West Sussex. Parking is easy and the staff are always helpful especially Sean. We are blessed with a lot of garden centres locally but Squires is by far the best. The Village Larder on the same site is a bonus.

Horrible day at Squires, they had all the products I wanted but the majority of staff were grim, rude, unhelpful. The worst encounter was at the till, a rude miserable woman ignored my plight of trying to carry trays of plants, and a basket as I had to balance them on the 4 inch ledge on the till, as she barked at me 'you have to push them through the hole, emphasizing the word 'you' and rolling her eyes at me! My plants were big, the mousehole on the screen is tiny, the ledge is non-existent, I am not Houdini. No customer service and no sensible approach to getting plants through the pigeonhole to the till...how can I get a plant 6 inches tall through a mousehole, can nobody work that out? not even an offer of a bag, box, assistance, or even a little patience, a smile...or even custom service.

Went to the Stoke D’Abenon one for lunch. Very nice staff, fast service and would recommend.

The customer service I received from two branches of Squires on the same day was excellent. I rang Milford to enquire about an item in the sale and they were so helpful, first looking for me in the store and then ringing me back at the end of the day to say they'd found what I was looking for. Meanwhile at Chertsey they were also really friendly and helpful on the phone and put aside an item for me which I collected later that day. Really impressed!

Really enjoyed our trip to the Squires in Farnham. Great pet and outdoor sections.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea at Squire's at Long Ditton on New Year's Eve. Plenty of filling in the sandwiches, delicious scones and cakes. Well done to all concerned, and especially to Nick for his excellent service.

We had a lovely Christmas dinner at the cafe last Saturday.
The table was beautifully laid. The service excellent and the Christmas Dinner hot and to a very high standard. Some restaurants would find it hard to beat. For price and quality.

Went in for breakfast today, found a table and noticed a lot of unhappy customers… it was absolutely freezing in there and decided to leave, it was warmer outside!!

Squires took over several of my local independent garden centres…which up until then had all been somewhat unique and different and I would visit each at various intervals. I liked their individuality..each having different things/events and menus in their cafes. Now they are all part of this chain of garden centres all that has gone..and they are all the same…nothing individual or unique about any of them. If you’ve been to one you have been to them all. I had a disappointing visit to their cafe today which now has a limited and expensive menu. Food I had was just ‘ok’but will not be repeating my visit.

Just been to Squires at Badshot Lea, what a waste of time!

Went to the cafe for coffee and cake for two, £14.80 and a 45 minute wait. Cakes served on dirty plates, hopelessly understaffed, dirty tables not cleared from previous customers, staff morale non existent.

This used to be a go to place - now it is a stay away place.

Alex at Squires Cobham turned a nightmare Friday into a lovely experience. The patience, knowledge, empathy and helpfulness of this employee was fantastic - even though it was 30 minutes before closing time on a long, hot day.

Staff can’t smile or serve with a good attitude
Shame as garden centre staff are mainly lovely
Don’t know what’s happened to people nowadays that can’t even manage a smile let alone expecting a good service
Tried too many times now will not be eating or drinking at this branch again
But as I say the actual garden staff are mostly helpful
I imagine the squire family who started this group don’t know what the cafe staff are like

We visited this garden centre recently. The flower beds in the overflow car park were full of thistles, and the outside seemed uncared for. inside the centre, there did not seemed to have any air conditioning...the place was hot and stuffy. The items for sale were overpriced. We received poor customer service in the café and waited over half an hour for a cream tea...scone was dry. On the plus side the food hall was well stocked , air conditioned and the staff were lovely.

Wonderful experience with Squires West Horsley.
I cannot commend highly enough the treatment I have received from staff at this branch when purchasing garden furniture recently.
We did not like the first purchase of furniture once it had been delivered and we had set it up in the garden.
Squires returned the following day and collected it and delivered another set of furniture which we preferred.
The new furniture was less expensive and they actioned the refund before we even received the new furniture!
Staff in store are always helpful and pleasant.
This has been one of the best retail experiences I have ever encountered.

My experience today at the Badshot Lea garden centre has left a lot to be desired. The restaurant serving a breakfast listed and priced by number of items as discusting.
The sausage was burnt and warmed as if left on a warming plate. The hash browns brown, flavourless and crisp burnt. The bacon ws tougher than a piece of beef jerky Deffinately not worth £7.95.
Went here as the Horsell Squires was of similar experience. Will not be using any Squires garden centre ever again.
