Terrible customer support and no idea…
Terrible customer support and no idea how they operate with their overseas customers. I had to wait on line for 2 hours only to get no support . The call cost me 10$
Amplify Platinum Visa Applications misleading
Amplify Platinum Applications default to another card - watch out!
So you see a nice Qantas bonus points on the platinum card offer, you follow the prompts all the way to the application, answer hundreds of questions and submit. Get the card weeks later and get told on the form one of the questions defaulted "type of card" to another basic card, that is not the platinum card with the promotion.
not only is this a waste of time to problem solve, each application affects a person's credit history. The operators take 40 mins each to respond and you get bounced around at least a few times, so don't bother calling unless you have 1-2 hours.
After my 4th attempt of calling, they say casually cancel the card and reapply- never mentioning once that this damages credit reports.
The sly set up and highly inefficient bureaucracy at this bank made it my first and last dealing with St George bank.
