They got me the outcome I wanted
They got me the outcome I wanted. They were communicative, informative & gave me just the right amount of time to do the parts I had to do and they were efficient and effective at what they had to do.
The team at Strakers are very helpful
We were helping our daughter find a rental property, she was struggling with availability, the lettings team became aware of her circumstances and went the extra mile to assist and she is now looking forward to moving in to her new home
Selling a property…
Giving an honest appraisal of the property's value.
We also liked the idea that if needed they have an in-house auction department, which we finally used to sell the property.
Fully explaining the steps to take the property through to auction.
Keeping us informed throughout the sale period, of pending viewings, and viewers feedback.
Very professional, from the first consultation, to finally selling the property.
I would definitely use, Strakers, in Chippenham, again.
Thanks to the whole team there.
Expert guidance through a big transition
We recently purchased our new home in Pewsey with the help of Mark Loveday at Strakers, and we’re so grateful for his support throughout the process. Calm, professional, and always one step ahead, Mark made everything feel manageable—even the tricky bits.
He answered every question promptly, kept things moving smoothly, and brought a reassuring clarity to each stage. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such genuine warmth.
Thanks to Mark, what could have been stressful felt instead like a confident, well-guided transition. We’d absolutely recommend him.
Moving with Strakers Corsham
We moved through Strakers Corsham office in July after a frenetic settling in. We would like to say a big thank you for all their support and advice, especially Vicki their negotiator for her patience, and Rosemary who went above and beyond to help us when we wavered and was a constant support to us.
Very good communication
Very good communication, which is rare for an estate agent these days. Guy was spot on with the valuation as we wanted a quick sale. He priced it right to generate the interest and then managed to get the buyers up £10k.
The after sales service was very good and there was no waiting days on end for updates.
Stress free new home search.
We recently rented a new home through Strakers estate agents Chippenham. We were looked after by Karen Elson from the first look around right through the application process, Karen looked after us far beyond the call of duty, thank you so much Karen.

Good on the whole, but better customer care required.
Initial contact and updates about viewings was great, as was the brochure created.
However, the Sales Progressor made no contact between March and July.....
I was disappointed to receive no acknowledgement after the sale had completed and my solicitor had paid Strakers' invoice. Disappointing.
Good communication key to professional service
The Strakers team worked hard, providing a professional service that enabled us to sell our property in a challenging market. Good communication was a particular strength.
Amazing service and support with a…
Amazing service and support with a great knowledge of the entire house buying process and happy to explain at length to keep. Informed and assured. Courtney was amazing from the initial enquiries and searching for a property up until the point of completion. Couldnt recommend highly enough.
Outstanding service
Outstanding service
From booking the viewing to the promptness of the responses after I won the property Courtney was brilliant. A great asset to Strakers, if only the staff I’ve dealt with at other auction houses were as polite, efficient and professional as her!!
My first port of call for my next auction property will definitely be Strakers
They were all kind
They were all kind, professional and helpful. Special thanks to Eleanor and Vici.
Fabulous from start to finish
Fabulous from start to finish - as new landlords we felt supported every step of the way. Not that there were many steps - our property was let to the first people that viewed it! Thanks to Karen, Sian, Nick and all the team!
On Aug 11th
On Aug 11th. I submitted a message regarding a property that is up for auction on the 28th. August. I received an automated email from Strakers advising "someone will get to you shortly". It's now August 15th, and still no reply. The positive reviews online need to be questioned.

Avoid Rosemary
My partner and I wanted to write this review a few months after moving in so we could be calm, collected, and informative. We don’t think our initial frustration would have been helpful in conveying the issues we experienced.
ROSEMARY is the WORST estate agent we have ever come across. This is the third property I’ve purchased, and having previously been both a landlord and estate agent, I’ve never met anyone so patronising, demeaning, and inept at their job.
From the outset, Rosemary misrepresented the seller’s position and insulted our financial background. It quickly became apparent that she was friends with the sellers and displayed heavy bias in their favour. We understand that agents are paid to act in the seller’s best interest, but they are also legally obliged to be transparent and not mislead the buying party.
We entered into the sale expecting a 14-week process, but it ultimately took six months. Throughout this period, Rosemary consistently worked from outdated information and blamed us harshly for missing paperwork or appointments—when, in fact, everything had been completed weeks prior. She frequently blamed us for not being “sympathetic” to the sellers, as it was a "new process" for them, and regularly withheld information and made insulting comments about our situation.
Leading up to the move-in day, Rosemary asked if the sellers could remain in our property beyond completion so they wouldn’t feel rushed. She claimed it was our fault for bringing the move-in date forward—after six months! She also failed to relay our refusal to the sellers and told them otherwise. As a result, on move-in day, we collected the keys but were unable to move in because the sellers were still in the property. The office later confirmed that Rosemary had misrepresented the situation. ADAM, a director, told us not to be stressed and that they "didn’t want to get involved"—an incredibly irresponsible response, especially with the seller shouting at us. The only support we received that day came from Cody, who was friendly and tried to make the experience more bearable.
Since moving to the town, we’ve met four other couples who moved to Corsham within the last three years and experienced similar, avoidable stresses—also due to Rosemary. While I can’t speak on their behalf, all reported feeling belittled, misled, and patronised.
That said, not everyone at Strakers behaved this way. Dave (no longer with the company) was respectful, fair, and informative during our initial dealings. Eleanor, who managed the sale, was fantastic—quick to respond and genuinely tried to push things forward. And Cody, again, made a real effort to help at the end of what had been a very difficult process. Ironically, the management team could learn a lot from their staff about how to conduct themselves professionally.
In summary: It would be unfair to label Strakers Corsham as a terrible estate agency overall. If you’re a seller, Rosemary may well deliver what you want—as long as it suits her. But if you’re a buyer looking for a fair, efficient, and helpful experience, we strongly recommend being cautious when dealing with her. The agency has many good reviews, but it's important to know that your experience can vary greatly depending on which agent you're assigned.
