I’ve been a loyal Audi Shrewsbury customer for several years now and have always had fantastic experiences with the team — especially with Claire, who consistently offers a truly personalised and professional service. She always goes above and beyond, and people like her are the reason I’ve kept coming back.
Unfortunately, my most recent visit at the start of October was a completely different experience. I was looked after by another service agent who was cold and dismissive right from the outset. While she was entering my details into her computer, I quickly checked my phone to deal with a plumbing emergency I’d had earlier that day. Out of nowhere, she looked up at me and said, “I’m waiting for you to get off your phone so I can book you in.”
I was genuinely shocked. I immediately reminded her that she was in no position to tell a customer to “get off their phone.” It wasn’t just rude — it was unnecessary and unprofessional.
I left my car with them but made it clear I didn’t want to deal with her on my return and asked for the manager’s contact details. When the manager called me shortly after, I turned around and went back to speak with him in person — hoping for a reasonable conversation. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case either.
Rather than listening and acknowledging my experience, he spent most of the conversation defending the staff member, telling me how great her performance was. I had to remind him that I wasn’t there to discuss her internal reviews — I was there as a paying customer raising a valid concern about how I’d been spoken to. A good manager would have recognised that and simply said something along the lines of, “Thank you for your patience — I can take your details when you’re ready.”
It’s clear that something has changed at Audi Shrewsbury — and not for the better. The shift in management and front-line service quality is obvious. In my opinion, staff like Claire should have been promoted into leadership roles, as she embodies everything a premium brand like Audi should stand for.
Sadly, this experience has completely changed my view of Audi Shrewsbury. After years of loyalty, I’ll be taking my future servicing — and any future purchases — elsewhere.

A month to sort a minor fault that was identified by Audi assist within an hour of being contacted.
Car returned dirty after being told it had been washed and ready for collection.
A very disappointing experience.
Only received updates on progress on repairs when I phoned Shrewsbury. Very poor service.

This is the third car I’ve bought from them and I cannot praise Shrewsbury Audi highly enough. The service provided and patience shown by Mollie was second to none and she ensured the transaction couldn’t have been smoother: she is a credit to the company.

I’m disappointed with my recent experience at Stratstone Shrewsbury Audi, particularly given the standards they publicly promote.
I purchased a Volkswagen Tiguan PHEV from the dealership, and from the moment I received the car, it was evident that it had not been properly prepared. There was a used cupcake wrapper in the passenger seat pouch, dog hair in the boot, and loose pennies in the dashboard compartment. These issues may seem minor individually, but together they reflect a serious lack of attention to basic cleanliness and presentation — not what you'd expect when purchasing from a main dealer.
Much more concerning was the fact that the vehicle’s electric charging flap would not open, making it impossible to charge the car. I had to take the vehicle to a VW dealership where the actuator has been deemed faulty and requires replacement. When raised this with the salesperson at Stratstone Audi, I was told this hadn’t been checked and the vehicle had not been charged prior to delivery.
This directly contradicts Stratstone’s own stated standards. According to their website:
“At Stratstone, we have a variety of quality used cars for you to choose from. Each car is carefully selected by our teams before making its way through the rigorous preparation process, where it is inspected by a qualified technician and then fully valeted.”
In my case, this process was clearly not followed. The vehicle was neither properly inspected nor fully valeted, and a core function of the car — its ability to charge — was completely overlooked.
I expected a significantly higher level of care and professionalism from a dealership associated with a premium brand. I hope Stratstone Shrewsbury Audi seriously considers this feedback and takes steps to ensure future customers receive the level of service and attention they promise.

Avoid this dealership at all costs. Absolutely disgusted the way I was treated. They never pick up the phone, spent nearly 2 hours getting through. Poor communication all round.

I visited Shrewsbury Audi because my A6 Avant was showing 2 serious error messages- driver system and engine warning
Both messages advise taking the car to my local dealership immediately. On doing so , I was told it needed a diagnostic check
The first available check 19rh JULY- NINE weeks away
When I asked what am I supposed to do with a car that may not be safe to do , the response was simply that is the next date and nothing would change it. Furthermore I was told that any courtesy car in this period would not be possible
Appalling arrogant service- apparently only 3 technicians can do this work- well train some more !
I have a friend locally with an Audi and he tells me he had a very similar warning and was told again it was 2 months before they would begin to look at the problem- never mind resolve it
Priority is to sell new cars and after that you are a problem to them
Avoid this dealership

Car was recovered to them by Audi Assist due an Electricla system malfunction on dash and power steering not working. Work for the power steering was completed and the car was serviced MOTd ( as was booked in anyway a few weeks later). MOT passed asked to collect the car. I asked about the electrical system warning and they said just monitor it as its not showing now. I then told them it is as i had a notification via the app. They then said leave it with them. I have been calling daily just to ask when the car will be looked at only to be told they are busy and they wont commit to a date and they are booked up until July. Asked for escalation to a manager no response. Was told on the 8th May car was ready for collection post MOT pass and full service. Was told on the 12th May that if i choose to drive the car to another its at my own risk as the cars not safe. If thats the case why did it pass an MOT as Audi new it has an issue with the eHigh voltage system as they told me. Absolute disgusting customer service, when asked when can I expect my car back the service person said they cant commit to any date so I dont know if its a few days or a few months because apparently they are booked up until July.
