Quick and lent a car while been servced

We recently bought a Macan from the Porsche dealership in Stockport and had a great experience from start to finish, all thanks to Chris.

It was our first time buying a Porsche, so we didn’t know much going in. Chris was incredibly patient and took the time to walk us through everything in detail. He let us spend hours using the car configurator and was more than happy to go back and forth with us over the following weeks as we made changes. Nothing ever felt rushed.

What really stood out was how calm, polite and honest he was throughout. He’s very softly spoken, not pushy at all, and completely transparent – which made the whole process feel comfortable and enjoyable.

At one point we did consider going with another dealership just because it was closer to home, but after speaking with Chris again, he reassured us why we chose Stockport in the first place. We’re really glad we stuck with him.

The overall service was genuinely excellent from beginning to end. No regrets at all (other than the dent in the bank balance!).

If you’re thinking about buying a Porsche, I’d highly recommend speaking to Chris. His knowledge is spot on, and with how customisable these cars are, it really helps to have someone who knows the product inside out.

Post purchase there have been a few minor teething problems. No if's no buts - everything was sorted and follow ups arranged quickly so rest assured the after care is just as amazing as the sales.

I was given an invoice for £700 more than the price quoted for the service and then was told that when I booked the car in I was advised of the increase which is a complete fabrication of the truth.

Absolutely shocking, Michael Pinkerton never gets back to you by emails or telephone, all I wanted was to get my car fixed. In the end I dealt with a lad called Tom who was brilliant got back to me straight away so I knew where I was up to with work cost etc.Got car sorted else where, due to bad service.
Will do my best to avoid this place!!!!

Purchased my 2nd vehicle from Porsche Stockport. Always received a warm welcome from the reception staff who have been always eager to please and ready to offer a refreshment the minute I walk through the door. James King, the sales specialist was courteous and a delight to deal with. His knowledge and understanding of my needs were exemplary. A true gentleman!!

Thourugh care of my car, "misunderstanding" on price of job (resolved after my query).
Anticipated wait was 2 hours instead of "about1".
The overall experience was what I'd expect from Porsche but updates on the progress of the job wouldhave been appreciated as was the price I was quoted on arrival which was not what I had been given before making the appointment.

Great customer service provided by Steven Hughes on Service desk. I’ve been coming here for the last five years and I’ve always dealt with him and have to say it has been a pleasurable experience every time.

I recently purchased a Porsche 911 (992) Targa from Porsche Centre Stockport, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and far below what I expected from Porsche.

During the visit I had to specifically request a test drive, which was not offered. Before the drive I pointed out several issues with the vehicle including gravel-damaged PPF and a buckled door speaker cover, which I was assured would be resolved.

The handover appointment was then disastrous.
When I arrived to collect the car, it could not be taxed because the MOT had not been processed correctly, meaning I was unable to take the vehicle away after travelling nearly two hours. The presentation in the handover bay was also very poor — the car was simply left there uncovered on a wet floor, with none of the usual presentation or sense of occasion you would expect for a car of this calibre.

During this failed handover I also noticed that the door speaker repair attempt was unacceptable and the rear light unit contained a significant amount of water. A replacement speaker was only ordered after I insisted.

I was later promised the car would be delivered by covered transporter, but it ultimately arrived on an open flatbed recovery truck, filthy and requiring me to clean it myself.

While I have been offered a Porsche Experience Day and a free service, the overall after-sales experience has been extremely poor and disappointing. I have also copied the dealer principal into my correspondence but have received no response, which is surprising given the circumstances.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure future customers receive the level of service expected from a Porsche dealership.

Professional people working In the Porsche

John at Stockport Service Centre was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions and always got back to us. He is a great representation of the Porsche brand.

Can returned with safety features disconnected (cameras), had issues with payment in that the system didn't work and I had to pay twice. Vehicle also returned with grease on side panels after the hood was lubricated.

Brought my Porsche Taycan in yesterday for some recalls. the lady at reception and service rep John was fab!

I was looked after by Steve in service and the experience was professional and swift. The car was given back to me very clean and a courtesy car provided while the work was carried out.
