Booked to view a house in Harpenden. Received an email and text confirmation. Arrived at property for appointment and was told the slot had been double booked. The agent offered us another time, hours later, which we couldn’t make.

We came from out of town to view the property so this was a major inconvenience. Goodness knows how a slot can be double booked when automatic confirmations are generated. Agent very unapologetic and I have found staff on the phone to be apathetic and unhelpful.

I have had two viewings with Will this week and felt I needed to write a review. I have been buying and selling property for the last thirty years and Will is just the most perfect person to be an estate agent. He has just the right amount of presence and confidence but completely understands the need to also be silent and allow the prospective buyer time to think. All questions were answered succinctly and his calm persona makes him one of the best agents I have had a viewing with. He really is absolutely innately equipped for this vocation.

This agents refuse to take me off their database, they keep sending me information on available listing like every day. this pollutes my mailbox and frustrates me, I had written to them many time to stop and used UNSUBSCRIBE feature nothing works so far. I just like to share this so others are aware.

A very positive experience from start to finish. Amy McMenemy was always available to answer questions, and very responsive to emails and messages. I always felt that nothing was too much trouble. I had a very restricted viewing time for potential buyers and she did an amazing job of managing that, and follow up questions. Absolutely terrible so called rental agents! Viewed a property to rent was expecting a follow up call (never happened) when I inquired as to the status of the rental and how to proceed was then told ' sorry we are not taking anymore enquiries on the rental' And don't bother calling them as they never answer or return your calls! Thanks for wasting my time I definitely won't enquire about any property up with yourselves and will make sure friends etc don't neither.

We recently bought a property in the Sevenoaks area with Strutt and Parker. Victoria helped us with the process from the initial viewing to sale. She was attentive, thoughtful about our needs and always followed up on requests and tasks in a timely fashion. Above all, we really appreciated Victoria’s calm, professional manner when negotiating some challenging issues to make sure we had a successful completion. We would recommend buying a property through the Sevenoaks office.

S&P did no marketing for us, and the team was defensive when we tried to make suggestions as to how to sell best (having had to handle several viewings ourselves at weekends- quite why estate agents don't work at the time when viewers are available remains a mystery to me!). I am sure they are fine selling conventional properties to wealthy buyers, but they didn't seem to have the audience for our mid-market character property. They didn't do anything to generate interest. It was not a happy or successful relationship, so we have moved on.

Had a viewing of a property yesterday with Annabel. From the moment she opened the door to welcome us to 45 minutes later when she said goodbye we could not have been more impressed. She was utterly friendly, professional, knowledgeable, honest and truthful. Although this house is unlikely to be the home we buy due to location, although beautiful, we could not have asked for a better agent to show us around. I worked in the property industry for 20 years, owning my own agency for 15 of them and I would have loved this lady to have worked for me. She is a huge credit to Strutt & Parker and if I was selling a house I would use them just to have Annabel show prospective buyers. We purchased a property through Strutt and Parker in Perth. Throughout Amy from the Perth office was both professional and helpful, and despite complications in the sale she kept us informed and helped to progress to a successful conclusion.

From the outset we received regular and professional advice and assistance from the staff in Norwich. Prospective buyers were vetted as far as possible before being invited to view the property and we only had one “time waster”. The staff showed good knowledge, persistence and patience in dealing with a seemingly interminable series of extraordinary queries posed by the buyer, and without their assistance the sale would not have gone through. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone wishing to sell, or buy, a property.

This company ROBBED us. The Solicitors are complicit in taking advantage of pensioners. Do not trust them, The owner Anne Macdonald who is wealthy and owns a hotel took the stove that was advertised in the brochure. She stripped off mirrors in the bathrooms leaving exposed hot wires. Such greed on the part of owner and solicitors is disgusting. We are trying to go to the police because no one will correct this and undisclosed roof issues, mold, and numerous lies. If anyone can help us on how to proceed we would appreciate. In addition we paid $40,000 over asking and we feel violated like being raped. The greed is astounding. They all drive fancy cars and lie to your face. Avoid Suzanne Moss and Kerry Grant because they will not get back to you to help return a stove in their brochure and the mold is making us sick. Avoid at all costs. I hope we can get arbitration but the greed is so deep. Sad.

Amy McMenemy provides excellent support to the house seller. Excellent knowledge and explanation of the process and very responsive by email phone or text. Nothing was too much trouble and she was always available for advice as needed. Would use again without hesitation.
