Great product & service. Unaware of policies.

Sunglasses Shop (based in the UK) sold a very good product (Paul Smith Sunglasses) at a very good price (regularly at USD$370, offered at $288). The reason why I purchased the item from them was that the price was a bit lower in the UK, as compared to the United States. The glasses arrived very quickly, new, and packed very well. The company used DHL as their shipping agent. What I wasn't aware of was that I was required to provide documentation myself for customs purposes (this is not the fault of Sunglasses Shop). In addition, I paid an additional $35 on licenses ($24), processing fees ($5), and Duty customs ($6). If I had known this upfront, I might not have ordered the glasses. It was a big hassle getting the glasses, but in the end I'm glad that I purchased them. Sunglasses Shop should educate their potential customers of these fees.

Cebe is best!

I've been wearing Cebe glacier glasses exclusively for going on 20 years. The mineral glass lens is the best their is. I've tried more expensise brands but they don't start to compare.

turned e commerce a bad experience.

Customer need to follow up aggressively on order status and shipment status with not responsive reply.

Order was only notified merchandise is out of stock 1.5 week after customer follow up email have been sent.

Additional international shipment cost has only been requested after customer keep chasing on the order. And during the eshop, international shipment were stated free.

Due to the bank holiday here in the UK - you placed your order on the Saturday and I didn't get in touch until my next working day which was the Tuesday. I did let you know that a shipping fee would be required as we don't ship to Hong Kong under our 'free shipping' promise. This is detailed in our Terms and Conditions, so apologies if you did not make yourself familiar with these before you purchased.

Also, I let you know that the frame was out of stock and that a lead time of approx 7-10 days was expected (I emailed you on the 8th May to advise you of this) the stock then came in the next working day and we shipped it out to you on the 9th May.

They're here.......HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY

Yes, my glasses got here. I thought it took to long. Now, that could be because I was anxoiusly waitng...but they are here. Yes, they were worth the wait. I thought I might have buyers remorse, but not a chance. They were so well packed for the trip to me. I worried that maybe I wouldn't get the box to store them in, but it was there with everything else I would have gotten at the name brand stores. Try getting your glasses here, I think you'll like it. The price was right too.

Buyer be where

They sent the wrong glasses, and expect me to be satisfied with them. They offered a discount on my next order, why would I order again. Very dissatisfied! Bad business practice. They did not reply to my first email of complaint, they did email their new site so I complained again.

fantastic service

The sunglasses shipped immediately, but then Fed Ex kept ignoring my messages to leave the parcel at my doorstep. Fed Ex then sent the parcel back. I contacted Mary Wheeler, who shipped the parcel to me immediately with a different service. Very helpful woman who made my whole experience great. Would definitely recommend.

NOT IF YOU ARE FROM THE US

I purchased sunglasses here and at first they were stuck in customs for a few weeks then magically they were delivered. Now I am getting a huge bill from DSL. The sunglasses shipped right away however now I'm stuck with another bill.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS. WORST EVER!

1.Pull the trigger a week ago. Money taken out from Credit card.
2.Got a email from [Private data] 5 days ago to send my photo ID and utility bill. what the…. They say its for my own security purposes. Again, what the.. you mean for your own security not mine. Anyway, I deleted my ID number and send them. Asked for an update 4 days ago. Nothing.
3.Asked update again 2 days ago via email. [Private data]. and copied in [Private data] Again, nada
4.Contacted over the phone, rings and diverts to some numbers. Goes to voicemail. "Please leave a msg. *beep*" in US accent, yet this is UK company..
5. Connected via "Chat Online" Got told to contact [Private data]. WOW!
Next step: Wait till tomorrow and if nothing, calling bank to say they are fraud.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us. I just wanted to explain our side of events. After receiving your order on the 28th January I emailed you on the 29th January requesting further information from you. As we were in the process of switching our email platform during this period, I am worried that some email correspondence may have been lost in the system. I did not hear back from you until the 30th January when you asked what sort of ID was requested. On the 3rd February your ID was received and your item was processed for Despatch. Your order was shipped and you have received it according to the UPS tracking.

I did explain in an email to you that as we are based in the UK there can sometimes be a delay when getting back to my Australian customers. I always respond to voice-mails as soon as I am able to but unfortunately I never received one from yourself.

Sometimes we do require further information to protect ourselves and our customers against fraudulent transactions. I am sorry if this alarmed you anyway.

Please let me know if you require any further information regarding this.

above say's it all really, other than the fact i have now brought the exact same pair 3 time's after dropping one pair off a very high balcony in Spain, dropping some overboard while cruising on the Thames and my missus nagging me to get her a pair also.

Speedy, good prices, maybe a little sketchy

I was only worried about this place when I never got an email confirmation of my order. I thought they had just taken my money and ran, but a few days later my sunglasses showed up in perfect order. A quick email receipt and shipping notification would have made all the difference.
