Excellent website and service

The website is well-presented, with good product pictures and an efficient ordering process; my order was despatched very quickly so that I received the sake glasses the next day (despite paying for standard delivery); the glasses were very well packed, so arrived undamaged; and they're as lovely as the website promised. I'm very impressed with the service I've received from SushiSushi.

Brilliant customer care

I ordered some really beautiful ‘rustic cups’ online, which were speedily and efficiently dispatched by sushisushi Ltd. They are so lovely. I'm very pleased with them. Through no fault of the company, one of the cups was damaged in transit. I emailed, and was contacted in such a professional way - and assured that a replacement would be sent. As a goodwill gesture they actually sent 2 cups and followed this up with a final e-mail check-in. This is clearly a company that puts it's customers first - I wish them well.

I’ve been using SushiSushi.co.uk for over 5 years now, and they’ve consistently delivered top-quality products and outstanding service. Their rice vinegar, soy sauce, and other Japanese ingredients—especially the sauces—are some of the best you can get in the UK. Everything always arrives well-packaged and quickly, and their customer service is second to none—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Whether you’re a home cook or running a food business, I highly recommend them!

I ordered a couple of items for a…

I ordered a couple of items for a present and had issues with the Yodel delivery. However, the moment I contacted Sushisushi, I had Martin helping me out to resend everything through a different provider, and everything was settled super fast and on time for the birthday!
I really appreciate them being super fast at getting back to me, and so quick to fix the issue.
And bonus, the products look great and I can't wait to taste the new vinegar!

Problems but well solved.

I ordered the chopsticks on 7th December 2023 to arrive in time for Christmas. On 19th December 2023 they wrote to me that my order had been canceled and they gave me a refund. That was a quite short notice to find decent chopsticks somewhere else so I was VERY upset. I wrote them an email and a couple of bad reviews, but Louis from Sushi Sushi called me next day to apologize for the situation. He explained that the goods were damaged during transport (they used the terrible company YODEL) and because they did not have these specific chopsticks in stock, they refunded the money to my account. He also offered that if I order any other chopsticks now, they will send them by another courier (DPD), next day delivery, and will include a box/case for the chopsticks free of charge. I agreed to a new shipment, but I paid for the box because I don't want them to lose money due to YODEL's terrible service. The most important thing is that they called and explained the situation and did not ignore me as many other companies would probably do. I appreciate it, that's why, despite the situation, I give them a 5-star rating especially that the chopsticks have arrived next day as promised.

Fantastic service, brilliant choices

I love Japanese food and tableware. I originally found sushisushi on Amazon, but sushisushi's own site is way way better.
I bought two beautiful sculptural white plates and wanted them in black. Sushisushi was incredibly helpful and, having placed the order two days ago, I received everything today.
The specialist food I ordered looks great too.
The challenge for me will be not to buy anything next time i visit their site (impossible).

It is absolutely a joke with the customer service

I have had multiple experiences ordering meat online with a few different suppliers before and they all arrived on time with the next-day delivery service. But SushiSushi really breaks the record, arriving 60 hours after DHL collected from their shop. I understand things are quite out of control after being dispatched but the customer service is making me feel helpless. I find the DHL customer service is more helpful than they are. Honestly, I do not have confidence in consuming it after it traveled in an unknown condition for 60 hours. I asked for a refund and they asked to arrange a pick up of the meat and to refund me when they received the meat. Does it mean I have to keep a 'maybe' spoiled meat and wait for another day of collection (today is 22nd Dec, I believe a pick up date will be some day after Xmas) before they can refund to me? It is absolutely a joke!

Cracktastic

I ordered some Momoya Taberu La Yu Spicy Chili Oil and a couple extra pieces including a small octopus chopstick holder. I had read some of the reviews on here before ordering however having listened to a podcast featuring Sushi Stu I had to try the product termed “chilli crack”.

Th package arrived promptly however I had to leave the country for a few days for a family wedding. On returning I thought it would be a good idea to try the chilli crack. As such I prepared some crumpets topped with cheese and the aforementioned chilli crack. This was a remarkable snack. Truly a meeting of two giants of the food world with some cheese joining the party for good measure. It was so good I promptly devoured four more. At this point I feel I had an out of body experience and the octopus chopstick holder (who is apparently called Francis) started encouraging me to have the chilli crack on other foods. I can confirm it pairs brilliantly with everything and is particularly great with banana.

I am however now worried I will not be able to have food without chilli crack on it. The day to day fear of starvation if I was to run out of chilli crack is a heavy burden to carry although Francis tells me not to worry about it.

Overall service was great with prompt delivery and an amazing product 10/10 would use again.

Prompt replacement of broken dishes.

I have received my order with broken ramen bowls - it looked like the package was dropped in transit (Yodel). Contacted customer service (Stephanie) and Sushisushi quickly replaced the bowls which arrived within 24 hours (DPD). Great service.

SuishiSuishi and Yodel 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review!😉

Having now sorted out a mix up over delivery address which I did initiate I have to say that SuishiSuishi have pulled themselves back from the mire and totally sorted my order mix up. They delivered a new parcel overnight once I’d convinced them of the mistaken address and even though by pure chance and good luck, which I put down to having good neighbours at my previous address, I have manage to retrieve the missing parcel sent inadvertently to my old address even though SuishiSuishi said they’d correct my delivery address once I’d spotted my mistake and the day after the order was placed.

SuishiSuishi have emailed to say Thankyou for telling them I’ve retrieved the original parcel meaning I now have 2 and that as a goodwill gesture I can keep it.

Not many firms willing to own up to their mistakes and do this in these hard economic times.

It also shows the power of honesty and keeping good records. Can I also add a shout out for my Yodel driver who answered his phone on his day off to tell me he was the driver who delivered the original parcel and confirmed for me where he’d been told to deliver it to. Absolute stars all of them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Incredibly rude and unhelpful customer…

Incredibly rude and unhelpful customer service. For some egotistic self-serving reason, they like to call themselves the "best" Japanese food store, I can assure you this place could not be further from it. Products will arrive either damaged or with a very short life span without notice. And if you dare have a problem with it, you'll get nothing but a snarky response. Shockingly immature, refuse to apologise or come up with solutions to move forward. Avoid at all costs, it's all a facade throwing the word Michelin here and there, it means nothing. There are plenty of other quality options than to buy from these horrific people.

Ordered on Friday and received the wrong items. I'm very disappointed with this website. Also, they only gave me the option for express delivery (£6.99) which was a lot more expensive than it should have been considering it took four days to arrive. Really bad experience, would not recomend.

Hi, Im sorry that you have had this experience however your order was place on a Friday evening and was dispatched on the Monday. The Website clearly states that cut off for deliveries is 12pm and that we only deliver on a Mon-Fri. We also immediately resent the missing line when you raised this with us. A one star rating when we operated within the displayed terms and conditions would seem harsh.

Ignorant Customer Service.

I placed an order on hthe 27th of August and payed for express delivery (£6.99) which was due for the next day (28th of August). Two days went by and I thought nothing of it because of covid and delays. Contacted their customer service and was meant to get a call back regarding my order. Nothing!! Tried calling them the next day but had to record myself on their voicemail with complaint regarding the order. A week later I finally get a text that my order is going to be delivered the following day. I have sent them an email asking for my money for delivery which one was expensive and also was not delivered on time. Still waiting for their response. Customer service is an absolute joke!! I do not recommend this company to anybody. Was my first and last time I've used it.
Disgraceful!
