Had a viewing on Friday with David from your allerton road branch, one of the most amazing letting agents I have ever delt with, so professional and well spoken, showed me all around the property, explained the process, he’s already called me back this morning done all my referencing, and will have me moved in before I know it, most places you wait days! But not with David I really can’t recommend him enough for his professionalism, so thankyou very much David for all your time and help xxx

As an investor looking to buy in Liverpool (L6, L5, L7), my experience with Sutton Kersh has been very disappointing. I travelled two hours for viewings, only to be told the properties I wanted weren’t available. Instead, I was offered alternatives in different areas, many in poor condition, with no photos provided.

Communication was inconsistent—I was passed between staff, and viewings were repeatedly cancelled last‑minute by “the vendor.” I also felt pressured to use their mortgage adviser, which I declined.

Overall, the service felt unreliable and unprofessional. I will not be using this agency again.

From our viewing with Sophie and then Amanda dealing with the house purchase it was perfect the contact was exceptional always available to answer any questions via phone and email purchase was quick and easy would highly recomend.

david was very helpful and supportive. he called me a few times to talk about houses and ask about my preferences.

David from your Allerton lettings branch did a viewing of a property for my son and his girlfriend- that they applied for. Within one week all compliance checks were completed, the AST issued, deposits/rent payments processed, EICR/Gas certs issued, right to rent booklets supplied and keys handed over. This isn’t just good service, it’s exceptional! Enormous thanks for the professional and speedy care you afforded us. Spectacular!

I had a viewing in the old swan area with David Shaw and from start to finish he was great, After the viewing he would phone to make sure that the next steps to secure the property is on its way and letting me know what would happen and making sure I was happy with the process.
David was great throughout the whole process.

Not worth the stress. My husband and I were looking to buy a house, and tried to arrange a viewing. The estate agent who we spoke with tried to take both of our names, address, phone numbers, DOB and email addresses - just to book in a viewing at the property.

When we asked if this was a requirement of arranging a viewing, he became annoyed and said no. Maybe they are targeted on gathering customer data or something but it felt very unreasonable and his response was very blunt.

We therefore offered them one of our email address/phone number (and gave proof of mortgage offer) so they could contact us - but we didn’t offer all the other info at this stage because we felt it was unnecessary for them to need all of this private info for both of us just to view the house. They never replied to us again and never arranged a viewing, despite us chasing a response. One of the properties we wanted to view has been listed with them for over a year now - so maybe they just want to keep claiming payments from the seller by not actually selling their house? Who knows 😂

We also asked if they would accommodate a 1 on 1 viewing for an autistic person, instead of a big group viewing, and they didn’t even respond to our email. Clearly they do not accommodate or make any reasonable adjustments for neurodivergent customers in their business practices, which makes me feel sorry for any neurodivergent staff who presumably are being treated even worse.

I’ll never use Sutton Kersch and everyone else should avoid them too.

I'd just like to preface this review by saying that the staff I dealt with on the whole were helpful. However, I wouldn't want to go through buying or selling a house with them again due to the pressure they put on me to use their mortgage and conveyancing services. I was essentially told that if I used their conveyancing and mortgage teams that I would be considered a "good" option and that the seller would have more faith in my offer. It made me feel pressured into using their services and implied I was about to lose the house I wanted. They also passed on my contact details to their preferred conveyancer without my permission which is a GDPR breach. As I mentioned I don't have any issues with the staff who were just doing their jobs but this estate agent's working practices are highly questionable.

I went to view a house. Rang up the next day which was Saturday six times due to answer machine being on in the LIverpool City Centre Branch to put an offer in for it. When I eventually got through to Mary- Kate I was told the property was owned by a housing association and I needed to complete a form for them as they wanted to prioritise selling to someone who want to live in the property over an investor. Waited, no form.
Rang up ten times on Monday, answering machine on each time. In the end I had to ring the Allerton Branch and ask them to contact the staff. Mary-Kate rang me up and said I hadn't filled the form in. Told her I hadn't received it. She then tried to pretend she sent it to the wrong email address despite the fact I had been sent several emails by her on the Friday gone. Filled in the form sent it off. On Tuesday still no word. Rang back 6 more times contact the Allerton branch and ask them to help. Still no phone call. I got home from work and rang the branch from my son's mobile phone and Mary-Kate answers straight away. She had been screening my calls. I ask what is going on with my offer and she tells me it has been rejected as it didn't meet the the requirements of the housing company. I am confused by this as it was for the asking price and tell her so. She then tells me the housing association have decided to put the house in auction and gave me the auction house details. I ring them up and they tell me the house is being sold by Onwards housing association and Mary-Kate had given me a form for Riverside Housing. So I very much doubt she even put my bid forward. Absolutely disgraceful way to conduct business.
DO NOT , I repeat, DO NOT sell your house with this company. People could be trying to contact them to bid and they do not even answer the phone.

What an illegal racket this place is! I've never come across such a corrupt business. We went for a house in Childwall, and they said our offer was accepted. However, Kerry from the business said that if I didn't go with their mortgage broker, they would call up the rejected offers to outbid mine, which is illegal. This is exactly what happened. It turns out things happen for a reason, as we found our dream house somewhere else for a lot cheaper. The way they reply to people on here is a disgrace; they act as if they are doing no wrong. We have escalated this further, and we've been assured by the Property Ombudsman that they will take a serious look into the matter.

I've seen the replies from Sutton Kersh attempt to discredit people who have suffered the same experience as me. I feel obliged to let them know that all phone calls when I dealt with them were made from my work phone which means all calls are recorded.

They are messing with people's lives, people who are trying to get a nice home for their kids, all for a £800 sign on fee with the mortgage broker and a cut of the mortgage. Slimy people, not sure how you sleep at night.

I had the pleasure of dealing with kayleigh at the west derby branch. From start to finish everything was smooth and easy. Kayleigh was so helpfull in getting everything sorted and in order for me and nothing was too much trouble, she honestly went above and beyond. Thankyou to sutton kersh for making my move perfect. I would honestly recommend them to everyone.

Never had a chance to view the property despite applying within the first hour the listing went online. Was strung along for 4 days, being promised to get a phone call back every day. Shocking!

I have just got a new tenant for my flat through Sutton Kersh in Allerton. They have been exemplary in finding a new tenant and dealing with all the paperwork. Special mention to James and Abby, for their professionalism, reacting to my constant questions with patience and courtesy .
