Staff very helpful on our 2 p/ex for our Mini Cooper S clubman

Giuseppe and Tilly were very welcoming and instantly put us at ease. They listened to what we were looking for and were very knowledgeable about the different options available to us.

Jack Quinn has to be given 5*. He has been amazing and he never ever rushed me into the sale even though i explained my work hours he was so helpful and so stress free purchase. I am soo happy with the order. Jack Quinn also sent me so many vouchers after purchase which was so kind of him. He is a gem to the company.

I enquired about buying a used Mini at Sytner Newport and Subhan Atif was happy to help me. Sub took time to show me the cars I was interested in and discussed purchased details with me. I'm really happy with my mini and Sub has since contacted me a few times to ensure I'm happy. Great customer service!

I am extremely happy with the vehicle and the additional features the JCW MINI Convertible has over my previous JCW Hatch. 10/10 for the car.

I am also very pleased with the help from Jack Quinn who went to a lot of trouble to make the purchase and handover experience very memorable.

The sell was full throttle but the delivery and fault solving was appalling!! Had to leave the dealership with no satnav as they hadn’t bothered to activate it……after 2 months of trying to get them to sort it out, I have to get it done myself at another mini dealership! Avoid Sytner with a barge pole

Great experience purchasing my new mini electric from Sytner Newport. All the staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful and I didn’t feel pushed or rushed into making any decisions. I am loving my new car and would happily recommend the car and the dealership.

A very easy process from beginning to end. I was made to feel welcomed, nothing was too much trouble and every finance option was explained clearly so I could make the right decision.
Louise kept me informed of every suitable car and contacted me to keep me updated. She knew exactly what I was looking for and got me the car I wanted. She was very patient with me and understood that buying a new car was something I don’t do often.

Fantastic service from Giuseppe nothing was too much trouble. I loved the fact that there was no hard sell or swaying tactics. The car is fabulous.

Would highly recommend avoiding this dealership, and taking your business to Cardiff or Swansea.
I put a £99 deposit on a vehicle 06/07/22 while I was waiting to sell my car, I agreed to sign all paperwork etc. before the sale of mine the following Wednesday, just to make the process quicker. Business Manager James Chesworth didn't reply to my email, didn't reply to my subsequent calls, so I bought a vehicle from Sytner Cardiff. (To be clear I have never visited Newport Sytner, all correspondents were done at distance via email/phone).
I called Newport Sytner to tell them I had gone elsewhere and bought a vehicle on 14/07/22, 8 days later, and was told my deposit would be refunded.

After chasing this for nearly 4 weeks now, still no refund, and the Business Manager JC has contacted me to say its not refundable now, as I'd not treated him nicely as a customer because I went elsewhere. They were short staffed, he didn't have a chance to contact me back, etc etc. After a heated discussion he is still refusing to refund me, clearly contravening Sytners own T&C's section - '13. Distance and Off Premises Contracts', as well as distance selling regulations.
I have emailed Richard Fellows & Jamie Hutcheon at Sytner Newport, yet to receive a reply.

Complaint also logged with MINI UK, currently waiting a conclusion before I am able to let the Motor Ombudsman take my complaint forward.

Richard, if your staff were aware of the legislation they are bound by my refund wouldn’t have taken so long. If your staff returned emails and calls you would have sold the car. You had no right to withhold my deposit, I have the right to cancel my order under distant selling regs without giving you any reason, even though the reason was failure to contact me to complete my order when I was in need of a car asap. Maybe you should direct your frustrations at your ill informed staff.

To add, after a positive conversation with Jamie Hutcheon yesterday, he has sorted out my refund himself.

Jack Quinn was extremely helpful from start to finish. This is the second time we have dealt with Sytner Mini in Newport when buying a new car and would certainly recommend them for the overall excellent customer experience.
