Got my first car!!
Buying the first car can be extremely difficult and overwhelming decision. Shinay and Jacob handled it in an extremely wonderful manner with lots of reassurance and calmness giving me confidence to buy the car at Sytner. Shinay and Jacob are wonderful Sytner stars!!!

This was our second car purchase from Sytner Select, so expectations were already high—and once again, they didn’t disappoint.
On arrival, Robert was nowhere to be seen. To clarify, this is Robert, the lookalike dancer Jordan (yes, that Jordan). Whether he was rehearsing backstage or perfecting his next routine, we may never know.
Thankfully, Big John stepped in and absolutely stole the show. Calm, confident, full of knowledge, and clearly the man you want helping you buy a car. No pressure, no nonsense—just honest advice, great banter, and a seamless experience. He took control, sealed the deal, and made everything feel effortless. A true headline act.
Then, like a dramatic encore, Robert (aka Jordan the dancer lookalike) reappeared to take care of the finishing touches—sorting the cleaning and after‑sales details to make sure everything was spot on. The car looked fantastic, the paperwork was smooth, and we drove away happy once again.
Another brilliant experience with Sytner Select. And let’s be honest—car number three is already loading. When the time comes, we’ll be straight back to Big John or Robert (aka Jordan) without hesitation.

We had a terrible experience with…
We had a terrible experience with 2sales managers regarding our ordered Teggo 8 summit promised phone calls never arrived different finance figures to what we had arranged took a formal complaint on the Sytner website to get some sense.
Then Mohammed was assigned to us and what a change things sorted straight away. What a credit to the garage pleasant polite and friendly.
So my question to the garage is if Mohammed is like this why aren’t the other sales managers
If Mohammed hadn’t been assigned to us this would have been a 1 star review

I contacted Sytner regarding buying a new mini. The service has been excellent so far. Ellis was our salesman and I have to say he went over and above in providing us with the information we needed. The excellent customer service continued when we went for our test drive.

Sold a Faulty Car with Potential Engine Issues – Very Poor Experience
I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a car from Sytner Select to be extremely cautious.
I recently purchased a 2018 Ford Focus ST (38,500 miles) for £16,850. When I first viewed the car on 28th March, I noticed the coolant was significantly below the minimum level. I raised this concern before putting down a deposit and was assured it would be checked and resolved before collection.
When I returned to collect the car, the issue had still not been addressed. I was initially told to take the car and return later, which the sales manager then overruled as the vehicle should not have been allowed to leave in that condition. I had to leave and return the following day — a frustrating and unnecessary inconvenience.
Even after this, the coolant was only minimally topped up. That same day, I identified multiple additional issues that had clearly been missed:
- Faulty illuminated door sill (not working on one side)
- Broken door guard
- Several door seals loose or hanging off
For a car at this price point, and from a dealership that advertises a “135 multi-point inspection”, this was extremely disappointing.
After reporting these issues, I experienced poor communication and delays. When the car was finally inspected, I was informed that it was losing coolant internally, with no visible leak — potentially indicating a serious engine issue. I was then told the car could require major repairs (even possibly a new engine), and that without an extended warranty, they were not comfortable returning the vehicle to me.
This raises serious concerns:
How was a car with a potentially major engine fault sold in the first place?
What does the advertised inspection actually cover?
At no point during this process was there any real apology or accountability. The only resolution offered was for them to buy the car back — which I had to suggest myself.
As a result of this experience, I have been left:
- Out of pocket (~£40 in road tax due to DVLA rules)
- Without a car
- Having lost my previous vehicle through part exchange
- Waiting nearly two weeks for my money to be returned
- Financially and logistically inconvenienced
Overall, this has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. I chose Sytner Select expecting a higher standard of quality and customer care, but that was not my experience at all.
I would strongly recommend that anyone buying from here thoroughly checks every detail of the vehicle and seriously questions the level of inspection being carried out.
I would also appreciate Sytner Select reaching out to address the financial loss and inconvenience caused in this situation.

I am writing regarding the front shock absorbers fitted to my Peugeot 2008 on 23/01/2025.
Following a recent investigation and a failure of the front-left shock absorber after only 5,000 miles, I have obtained an official technical parts report from Peugeot based on my vehicle's VIN.
The Evidence:
Official Peugeot Parts Required: 9810915580 (Left) and 9810915480 (Right).
Parts Fitted by Sytner: 9820326380 (Left) and 9820326280 (Right).
Your notes claim that a dealer confirmed these parts are correct. However, the physical parts fitted are shorter than the manufacturer's specification for my specific chassis. This discrepancy has caused a premature failure, posing a significant safety risk and compromising the vehicle's suspension geometry.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be "as described" and "fit for purpose", and services must be carried out with "reasonable care and skill". By fitting incorrect parts that do not match the manufacturer’s specification for my VIN, Sytner Select has failed to meet these statutory requirements.

The part numbers you referenced have since been superseded by Stellantis Peugeot to the updated part numbers that were supplied and fitted. Parts supersession is a standard manufacturer process and does not indicate that incorrect or unsuitable components were used. Stellantis Peugeot have confirmed that the superseded parts are fully compatible and approved for your vehicle. Based on this confirmation, we are satisfied that the work was carried out with appropriate care and skill, in line with manufacturer guidance and our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We do appreciate you raising your concerns and would be happy to review any additional manufacturer-issued documentation that may contradict the information provided to us by Stellantis Peugeot.
