Purchased a car from sytner select Swindon and it has been one of the hardest car buying processes I’ve encountered. The communication is none existent.
Originally I was told the car had full service history but they only had a record of 3 services (6 year old vehicle) and if I was to go ahead with the car a discount could be provided on the warranty, fast forward a week I was then told the car does have full service history and they have confirmed that, however they just needed to obtain the records from the previous owner.
I was purchasing the car online so was shown a video walk around of the car where they highlight “all” and any imperfections, usual wear and tear for a car that age. They advised they would complete touch ups on the bonnet where stone chips had occurred.
Based on this I have purchased the car expecting to receive the service history records.
On collection day the car was not in the condition stated with scratches all down the passenger side as if it had been dragged through a bush with majority of the scratches removing the paint, not to mention chunks and chips taken out of window seals and door cards and no touch ups to stone chips completed.
A price was renegotiated based on the above imperfections (at no where near market value to correct the imperfections) not great to turn up falsely advising the condition of the vehicle.
I have followed up the service history request over 3 times now with no response at all since purchasing the car.
Have every mind to reject the car due to it being missold.

With regards to the service history, I can confirm that we have now obtained and sent across the records covering the vehicle’s history. I appreciate that this should have been provided much sooner and apologise for the repeated follow-up you had to make in order to receive this. A total shower. Paid a deposit for a Jaguar XJR which needed some bodywork while this was going on my deposit was returned without any reason. Ot took me a week or so to liquidate my assets to pay for the car now they have cancelled. This leaves me out of pocket due to lost growth and trading cost. The whole process was been a complete mess of poor communication poor actions or in this case the wrong action. Please do not go there unless you are reckless and stupid

Good experience overall, I travelled 4 hours to view a CUPRA Born I had been looking for, for several months, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the car after having previously had a few disappointing experiences from other dealers, both Jay and Joe were great at allowing me to view the car in my own time, test drive and finalise the deal, I would definitely consider Sytner the next time I need to buy a car

Absolutely horrible experience with disgraceful customer service. I reserved a car through this branch of Sytner for £99 and was ready to pick it up. After being pushed back on the time for it being delivered by over a week, I got in touch with them only for them to tell me they had sold the car I had reserved, deeming the reservation option completely pointless. Would advise anyone to stay away. I have now purchased a car through cinch and it was so easy it puts these clowns to shame . Stay away at all cost.
