I bought a car from here three months…
I bought a car from here three months ago but initially left the premises as I had a totally unsatisfactory “negotiation “ with the salesman who was incompetent and patronising. Half way home I was contacted by a more senior staff member who I had a sensible conversation with, did the deal and they delivered the car to me next day. So far so ok. I’ve subsequently decided to sell the car due to unforeseen circumstances but the dealer who bought through a well known on line auction site forensically checked the vehicle over and found it needed a replacement head gasket which for an M4 is around £5000 so the sale fell through. I have only added 400 miles to the car in three months so can only assume this was a fault that Sytners were aware of hence my score.

Exceptional Service from William T (Swindon Branch)
We recently purchased a car from the Sytner Select Swindon branch. The car we chose had not been through their pre-sale preparation checks at the time of viewing, so we expected a 3 week wait. They turned the transaction around in under 2 weeks. This included the preparation checks, full service, MoT and treatment to the alloys (which they did an amazing job on). We were dealt with by William from start to finish, with Kuba having involvement with some of the finer sale details. We were given all of the information we needed and at no point felt pressured into anything. We travelled from Salisbury for the viewing (including test drive) and again for collection. We have already recommended the branch to others and will continue to do so in the future. The standard of product, service and care we received is second to none. Buying a car can be a minefield, but these guys have restored my faith in humanity!

Sadly the second one star review I've left an auto trader dealer in the last 24 hours.
I sent a request asking for the battery state of health on an EV,
To date I've received a message telling me to deal with them through WhatsApp, a message asking if I've received the information I requested to which I gave a polite NO. This was followed by a message explaining how they would prefer a credit check on me for finance to which I replied I haven't had an answer to my question about battery health and I would pay cash not finance followed tonight by another person asking if I've had a reply to..y question and if there is anything they can do
Customer service at it's very worst, the manager wants to be fired - not one of his staff take ownership of an issue to completeness
Not a great boost in confidence to buying from these Muppets !

Everything I needed without the pressure
Everything was planned time was not wasted and all my questions were answered. The salesman (Muhib) was great not pushy but made sure I was happy and all questions were answered. In an industry where salesman push stuff on you that is unsuitable or not needed it was a pleasure to buy from Sytner select.

I absolutely love my Geely car – it’s been a great purchase and I couldn’t be happier with it.
The customer service was really good from start to finish. Ella was fantastic – she’s easy to talk to, very approachable, and made the whole test driving experience fun and relaxed.
Chaylee also really stood out. She understood my needs straight away and worked with me to make sure I could get the car as soon as possible. She was super fast, efficient, and made the whole process smooth and stress‑free.

I contacted Synter via their web form. The digital assistant said a member of the team would be in touch but, according to their human team, failed to pass on my query.
At the site, which was impressive, the team were welcoming and helpful – really great.
We asked for the service history of the car we planned to buy and found it had been returned to the manufacturer for months with an unknown issue. I asked the team to find out more and whether the car was still under warranty with the manufacturer.
They didn’t know. Keen to buy the car we agreed they would contact me the next morning with more information. Weeks later, no contact – so we decided it would be safer to buy same make, model, year and price somewhere else.

We are absolutely over the moon with our car purchased from Synter Select Swindon. Mike went above and beyond with his customer service and was extremely knowledgeable about the car, the products and explained the process in a very professional and non pushy way, he really is a credit to Synter. We also would like to mention the lovely Chaylee, she was really lovely and made sure we were fully understanding everything and she gave clear precise information, despite having a migraine, she remained professional and extremely polite. We were even offered an ice lolly as it was extremely hot and not the greatest air conditioning. So, overall, this was a great success and we would highly recommend Synter Select in Swindon to anyone looking for a quality used car and sales people who actually know about the cars they are selling and make you feel like a customer and not just a pound sign. Oh btw: my only criticism is the wait for test drive could be improved by providing sales staff with more than two fuel cards between them all, come on upper management...sort this out for your amazing sales team.

Purchased a car from sytner select…
Purchased a car from sytner select Swindon and it has been one of the hardest car buying processes I’ve encountered. The communication is none existent.
Originally I was told the car had full service history but they only had a record of 3 services (6 year old vehicle) and if I was to go ahead with the car a discount could be provided on the warranty, fast forward a week I was then told the car does have full service history and they have confirmed that, however they just needed to obtain the records from the previous owner.
I was purchasing the car online so was shown a video walk around of the car where they highlight “all” and any imperfections, usual wear and tear for a car that age. They advised they would complete touch ups on the bonnet where stone chips had occurred.
Based on this I have purchased the car expecting to receive the service history records.
On collection day the car was not in the condition stated with scratches all down the passenger side as if it had been dragged through a bush with majority of the scratches removing the paint, not to mention chunks and chips taken out of window seals and door cards and no touch ups to stone chips completed.
A price was renegotiated based on the above imperfections (at no where near market value to correct the imperfections) not great to turn up falsely advising the condition of the vehicle.
I have followed up the service history request over 3 times now with no response at all since purchasing the car.
Have every mind to reject the car due to it being missold.

A total shower. Paid a deposit for a Jaguar XJR which needed some bodywork while this was going on my deposit was returned without any reason. Ot took me a week or so to liquidate my assets to pay for the car now they have cancelled. This leaves me out of pocket due to lost growth and trading cost. The whole process was been a complete mess of poor communication poor actions or in this case the wrong action. Please do not go there unless you are reckless and stupid

Good experience overall, I travelled 4 hours to view a CUPRA Born I had been looking for, for several months, I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the car after having previously had a few disappointing experiences from other dealers, both Jay and Joe were great at allowing me to view the car in my own time, test drive and finalise the deal, I would definitely consider Sytner the next time I need to buy a car
