Really fun time bowling
Really fun time bowling, 7 of us as celebrating youngest birthday. The only negatives i would say would be the bar service. Lot of people behind bar but only 1 serving and was a very busy evening. Ladies toilets were also incredibly smelly. Apart from that had a fun evening

Good fun but expensive
Great atmosphere and lots of fun but....
We found tables not cleared and cleaned, nowhere to hang coats when bowling and it was very expensive!

We had a lovely time. The only issues were that there were not many staff so long wait times if anything happened on the lane and one staff member serving drinks etc was incredibly grumpy, she wouldnt serve tap water or mix slushy colours.

Not great
Issues with our lane. Half our food was missing, what came out was cold and not even a full portion.
There was a wait but it was busy so to be expected.
We ordered drinks to our lane and ice cream drinks took 25 minutes and the ice cream we had to ask twice. Our game had finished and they still hadn't came so went and asked again and they took it from the freezer behind the bar so no clue why they couldn't have done that the first time.

Bowling itself was fine
Bowling itself was fine, and the drinks are fairly reasonably priced. However afterwards one of the arcade machines swallowed our cash. And despite check in calling for an engineer twice. We eventually had to leave after 25 minutes as we had a booking at 2pm at the restaurant next door.

1hr bowling with pizza
We paid for the 1hr bowling with pizza which is a good deal but just some feedback we were pretty much finished on our second game for a party of 4 and it just cuts out when the hour is up, I think it should be programmed that if you are more than halfway through a game it should let you at least complete it my son was not happy

Bowling& Karaoke Great Fun but unfortunately kitchen staff are rude.
Paid for bowling & food & added on karaoke. Bowling itself & Karaoke was great fun! Nothing was too much trouble & staff went and got props for us which is fab! We had a great time!! However food & kitchen staff was disappointing, 2 x chicken nuggets meals bought out, half the box of chips was visibly missing & chicken nuggets burnt. Told a staff member who bought the food & took it back to the kitchen. A gentleman then came over from the kitchen with hair in a pony tail & tattoos very abruptly & rudely and i feel he was trying to intimidate me, bought over 2 different chip boxes to show the difference in size. I explained I understand the difference in chip sizes, that wasnt an issue but when it isn't even filled up to half way it wasnt acceptable neither is burnt chicken nuggets that my children wont eat.
I will not be eating here again as a result of this. I don't think it was called for.

Overall ok
Overall ok, but value for money.... not really at 70 for a family of 4 (no food or drink). Waited at bar for 20 minutes before giving up and walking away, lane broke down (I know it happens) but waited 15 minutes for someone to attend (pressed button for assistance on lane machine) - no one attended and had to go and locate someone to come over.... 3* is generous, but although very pricey we have always generally had a good time.... but lack of staff on weekends in particular is inherently an issue which needs addressing.

The staff were polite and helpful and the pizza we ordered whch was included in the deal we booked was delicious and hot enough. Our seating area was ample and comfortable. Our experience was only marred by the people using a lane next to us as they kept obstructing our lane, however, seemed totally oblivious of this. This obviously was also a cause for concern with safety when bowling. However, we did not mention it to the staff and do not in any way blame Tenpin for this.

Slow service & rude staff
Normally have the best time at Tenpin Plymouth.
However we encountered several issues on this occasion. I understand it was extremely busy period due to half term, but the level of service was not up to standard at all. My sister & I ordered food to our lane at the same time. Hers was delivered within 20 mins, except her drink never arrived so I asked at the bar & they did it there. My food however never arrived after over an hour. Again I appreciate it was busy. I was offered it in a takeaway box but did not really want nachos to take away. I asked for a refund. The manager kindly did this for us.
However one member of staff was rude to my daughter & my sister on separate occasions during our visit. He held his hand up to my daughter without speaking didn’t explain just help hand in her face, meaning don’t bowl as he was sorting a stray ball. She’s 9 & didn’t understand & this made her upset. He then did the same to my sister when she approached him to enquire about my food. Didn’t answer her just held his hand up. I was a retail manager for many years & this is not appropriate behaviour to a paying customer no matter how busy it is.

Our pizza arrived and it was very undercooked so uncooked that it was not suitable for the children as it was floppy and unable for them to eat it.
The toilets were vile! I’ve been to cleaner toilets in a nightclub. Both ladies and gents smelt strong of urine. Floors soaking wet! Toilet paper empty and on the floors.
My husband went into the gents and witnessed a dad having to hold his child over the toilet so he wasn’t touching the seat due to how unhygienic the places was.
We usually come to tempting on a regular basis however this trip has made us feel we wouldn’t attend again!
Bowling isn’t cheap and the venue was disgraceful

We pre booked and paid in advance for bowling and karaoke - £25 for 30 mins karaoke. Get there and see that karaoke is only £10 for 30 mins. Told that sorry can’t help as you booked on line. Such a big difference in price. Def not worth £25 but feel even more cheated when others paid just £10! Advice - don’t pay in advance!
So response acknowledges there is a pricing issue yet no offer of a refund? £15 more to book in advance when it’s £25 is excess!
