Avoid Ashton. Staff couldn’t care less. Slow service. Returned food because it was cold. They are more interested in chatting and eating themselves than taking care of customers. Will never return.

Stratford Westfield- looks like something from a *hole.

Stratford Westfield- By far the worst I have ever experienced. Pity I cannot give it a zero star. Waited 40 minutes to be served and it was not busy at all. The chairs were dirty and table had half the cutlery. The full rack ultimate was a disappointment and so was the prawns looked like they bought it from Asda. I’m afraid won’t be going there ever again. The staff and whole experience was appalling. Doubt they will be in business for very long. Besides that the Westfield mall looked like a dump half the escalators were working. What is going on???

BBQ Sauce rip off

We had a nice night, cant fault the service or food. It was pricey for what we got but it was very tasty. The staff were great but I feel a bit robbed as when the food came I asked for Ketchup & BBQ sauce, the Ketchup arrived in a bottle and the BBQ in 3 tiny paper cups (all ok so far) when we got home after paying the £100 bill for 2 kids and 2 adults on a set menu with limited choice we saw we had been charged £1.25 per BBQ sauce serving?????? WHAT!!!!
Why is ketchup free and BBQ Sauce not and why were we not told, you've charged us nearly £4 for BBQ Sauce, have you ever been to ALDI and seen how much BBQ sauce you can get for £4.

Was planning on going again for Birthdays and special occasions but forget it as I do not like get ripped off.

Rubbish dining experience, don’t bother go elsewhere…

I recently visited the Chelmsford branch early eve Sat 24th Aug 2024, which also happened to be Aug bank holiday weekend, I have to say, the experience was nothing short of disappointing.

Firstly the cocktails, which were advertised as a 2-for-1 deal, are a complete rip-off. Not only were they ridiculously overpriced no way would one single cocktail be charged at £16 each, therefore price is overinflated in order to make profit, but the quality was abysmal. The first strawberry daiquiri basically had no taste, and certainly zero alcohol, and the pina colada is advertised as a frozen cocktail but when it arrived simply just plain liquid, again just a mix of basic pineapple juice and small coconut milk, again, no alcohol of which to taste, calling it a "deal" is a joke and to then charge a premium rate given the lack of alcohol and decent ingredients or care to make them is utter crime. I had visited other TGI branches few years back and found the cocktails very good, either this branch is just poor or the company is cutting costs to inflate profits.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the majority of food on both our dishes was barely lukewarm when it arrived, except for the fries which where obviously freshly cooked, and they where enjoyable at least, the main parts of the meals where clearly questionable as to just being reheated based on their temperature, and the portion sizes were mediocre at best considering the price.

The service was just as disappointing as the food and drinks. Baring in mind the restaurant wasn’t even half full, staff seemed disinterested and barely provided the bare minimum in terms of attention. It was as if they were doing us a favor by even acknowledging our presence, also laughable considering place is as near empty so
was no excuse for that!

Overall, this was a terrible dining experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I wouldn’t waste your money and can’t believe how much it’s changed…

Haven’t been to TGI Fridays or Fridays it’s decided to call itself well a name change hasn’t help at all. What the hell has happened to the prices the food doesn’t not represent the prices
Poor portions poor quality £20 for a rubber chicken burger obviously defrosted from freezer and 1 piece of bacon that has been cut In half. I know they have started to sell food in Iceland so maybe they are getting Iceland food delivery's to supply them as I think I could do better cooking myself at home from that box food
The milkshakes were just like pure milk with a spray cream ontop
The potato skins were awful and not worth £15 and the garlic bread with mozzarella on it you could whack it on the table and it wouldn’t break!!!
My 12 year old was looking forward for a birthday meal and to be honest we could of got a happy meal
Least to say we won’t be going back. Sadly the new menu and new name hasn’t work, this restaurant used to be so good and love celebrating birthdays or anything and had atmosphere with great food and staff who actually wanted to be there having but now I can’t see it surviving with other competition around
We will never be going back

What a miserable experience

We arrived to a near empty restaurant in Enfield and what few staff we could see ignored us for 20 minutes until we were grudgingly shown our table. We needed to change the baby and were told to use the disable toilet which had patches of wet and tissue all over the floor. I slipped slightly and managed to right myself thank goodness with a 4 month old baby in my arms. I told the waiter when he arrived 25 mins later to take our order. I asked for the kids to get their mains when the adults got theirs so that they could have some starter too, there were 4 adults and 4 children. Predictably the kids mains came with the starter. They didn’t offer to take them back, keep them warm, get new ones. One grandson enjoyed some cold nachos and could not eat his burger as it was too cold, dry and solid. It said 2 for 1 sale in cocktails and so I ordered two different ones to for my guest and I to try but no I ended up with four cocktails, 2 of each one, so filled with ice we could taste no alcohol. My daughter in law took the two boys to the loo only to find the ladies and disabled toilets were closed and had to bring them all the way back for my husband to take them to the gents, which were open but pretty disgusting. My husband’s burger could have called for help it was so raw in the middle and the food was like warm at best but by then the waiter had been unwelcoming and miserable he didn’t complain. We were going to have dessert but decided against it because everything took so long and would probably not live up to expectations. I asked about the kids going free reward to be told it had changed (in two days) and each adult had to sign up in the app. So we asked what to do but the waiter was so grudging again we didn’t go further with that. It cost £215 for this experience. I was wearing a daft birthday badge insisted upon for a laugh from my son but no one even offered a happy birthday even though there are birthday promotions also. I have a blue badge and decided not to go to the loo and instead was uncomfortable all the way home rather than risk a fall or worse. The whole experience was very disappointing, expensive and a downright con perpetrated by miserable waiters. Other tables arrived over the course of our meal and all were complaining also. I will never go back there again.

Amazing service.

A group of 4 attended for a bottomless brunch and I must say Ann-Jonai was an amazing host! Made sure we were topped up at all times and was attentive and friendly throughout the evening! I hope if you’re attending Rushden Lakes TGI’s that you get Ann-Jonai, she is awesome!! 10/10 experience.

POOR ALROUND AND EXPENSIVE

Went to Friday's Stretford G-Manchester. Poor all-round and expensive. We were kept waiting at the door with the loud music in our ears. It went down hill from there could not get a coffee the machine was broke! The veggie menu is poor only surpassed by the poor bland food. The real issue was the price it was very very expensive for what we got.

Unsatisfactory visit

This was the worst TGI I have visited.
First time I have been to Rushden lakes restaurant, and will be the last.
Slow service, staff stood around doing nothing, food sat on the hot plate for at least 20 mins after being alerted by chef it was ready, I had to say the food has sat there, staff were unfriendly and looked like I’d annoyed them when asking where our meal was. The place was empty so being busy was not the reason. Won’t be back.

RIP OFF

Prices have shot up, absolute rip-off.

Plant fajitas £20.70
Veggie Burger & Chips £19

Much better value and food available at so many other places.

Dated overpriced brand looking to rinse customers before it goes bust.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE PRICES?

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO THE PRICES??

Dishes we’ve always ate in the past, sesame chicken strips, Cajun chicken pasta etc are now close to double the price. Cajun pasta now nearly £20!! Ridiculous. Service quite slow for it being relatively quiet.

Tgi Manchester arrived at 17.45 for 18.00 booking asked to wait at bar.( 1 member of staff working) 18.40 taken to table waited another 25 mins for order to be taken after numerous attempts to order 😡. Food over priced ! Made a complaint and was told they were very busy ! There seems to be a lack of staff and looking at other reviews this is the case in every Tgis . With no reply’s from Tgi,s this makes tells me they aren’t interested in comments left on this site. Very very poor from an established company 😡
