About The Kitsch Hen

Our business began with one simple mission – to spread kindness and make people smile with our letterbox biscuit gifts.
From our bakery in Rutland we make delicious vanilla biscuits and hand stamp each with a special message before gift wrapping them and sending them through the post to brighten someones day.
The Kitsch Hen was set up in 2015 as a way for me to find focus and a sense of purpose while we were embarking on our second cycle of IVF treatment for infertility. Although we decided to gently let go of our dream of having a family in 2019, The Kitsch Hen has become an opportunity for me to nurture in a different way and to find another route to joy and purpose in my life.

Great customer service and very different biscuits
I had accidentally put the wrong flat number and I emailed to let them know and it was all sorted right away. Always good communication and really different biscuits. This one had a perfect sentiment for my daughter.

I found the ordering process very easy. My order was confirmed quickly and I was informed when despatched. I was able to personalise my biscuits and have them delivered to the recipient. The recipient said they both looked great and tasted delicious. Very happy with the service provided. Various biscuit makers out there, but I have no hesitation in recommending The Kitsch Hen.

Brilliant present!
The Kitsch Hen are super quick to complete the order and you get an email to know when its been sent. We sent biscuits to welcome a new baby and they were the perfect gift. Apparently brilliant to keep up energy levels in those early days of very little sleep. Would definitely order biscuits again :)

We are so pleased that everything was ok. We pride ourselves on creating beautiful biscuits which look as good as they taste. The particular biscuit set you ordered is time intensive to make, but we feel very much worth it for the beautiful message it portrays. We do our best to ensure that our product descriptions and images are as clear as possible so that customers know exactly what they are getting for the price paid. However, we know that we are not for everyone - and that is ok too.

The Kitsch Hen make the most amazing biscuits that can be personalised for any occasion ! I recently wanted some for my daughter as she was expecting. Caroline was so helpful and came up with some ideas to personalise them to fit the occasion. The biscuits arrived and my daughter and son in law were so happy with them and they were delicious ! A unique gift for any occasion !
