Our business began with one simple mission – to spread kindness and make people smile with our letterbox biscuit gifts.
From our bakery in Rutland we make delicious vanilla biscuits and hand stamp each with a special message before gift wrapping them and sending them through the post to brighten someones day.
The Kitsch Hen was set up in 2015 as a way for me to find focus and a sense of purpose while we were embarking on our second cycle of IVF treatment for infertility. Although we decided to gently let go of our dream of having a family in 2019, The Kitsch Hen has become an opportunity for me to nurture in a different way and to find another route to joy and purpose in my life.

Lovely experience all round.
I received a biscuit as a gift. Pretty packaging and delicious, high quality, beautifully decorated biscuit. The handwritten note was so special and I loved all the small details that made it feel personal. Really lifted my spirits on a stressful day.

100% Recommend
I ordered the advent calendar box for my boys…it arrived on time and beautifully packaged. The boys have absolutely loved having this little treat to look forward to and my eldest has enjoyed the little notes. Most importantly they taste incredible! Such a lovely gift to receive and will 100% be using again in the future.

We are so saddened to read this & we have reached out to discuss this with you but have not heard back.
If this related to your Christmas pre-order then we can only apologise if the information on our website was not clear & you didn't realise that we wouldn't be shipping Christmas biscuits in November...we always want them to arrive just before a special occasion so that they are as fresh as possible. We upgraded the shipping (at our cost) to a tracked service for many of our Christmas orders & we can see that your order arrived on 16th Dec, in plenty of time before the big day!
If this was another order that has arrived much later than expected, we had no contact from you to let us know of the issue and we would have quickly resolved this for you!
The postal strikes have been on going for many months now & they are sadly causing delays to orders. Delays which are totally out of our control.
Either way, we would always ask that you contact us first before leaving a review, it doesn't seem fair to blame us for something which isn't our fault.

My biscuit arrived today
My biscuit arrived today. So elegantly packaged. I particularly like the little stickers you put on the sleeve and inner greaseproof paper. I really dont want to eat the biscuit, its just too beautiful. Small things really can make a big difference and i will definately become a customer having been on the receiving end!

Good service
A blip in delivery for this order but the company responded quickly to explain it was because I had mistyped the postcode 🥲, coupled with the postal strike.
I have ordered several times before and always had good service.
