Unethical and awful

Unethical and awful : I booked a ticket for Tina on the West End last week. The show was cancelled and a refund promised (I had to book a more expensive ticket for the following Friday ). 9 days later - the Theatre have refunded Theatre Tickets direct within 24 hours but they still have my money !

Do not use unless you want to pay way more than anyone else.....

Only used because given gift voucher, stupid over-the-top prices, you will always be able to find seats at half these prices elsewhere. Having booked months in advance, they phoned under a week before show to say it had been cancelled (it wasn't just sold out) - avoid this company, there are loads of other better ways to buy theatre tickets. Customer service pretty strange too, my conversation was relayed to another person and the answers back again to me because of v limited English.

Absolutely appalled that this company…

Absolutely appalled that this company don't sell tickets for any theatres outside the London area?!
Talk about 'missing a trick!' - Ridiculous stereotyping, I won't be using their services when we travel to watch a show in London on principle & I would suggest that all of you 'uncultured Northerners' follow suit!

Booked tickets for a show for a gift…

Booked tickets for a show for a gift for a family member. Rung up a few days later saying they had issues with their website and the seats I had chosen were actually already booked. Only seats available were closer to the front and not what I wanted but said I had to pay if I wanted to change my seat. Not the best customer service for something which was their fault. If I wanted those seats I would have booked them!

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. Bought £100 of vouchers as gift ( + £5 admin and post!) but when we went to use them, you can only book directly with them. Their ticket price was £15 more per seat because of yet another "booking fee" than buying direct from the box office. Same day, same show, box office seats were slightly better too. Company refused any refund/cancellation ( as they're entitled) but it means if you use this company it will cost you about 25% more for a similar/worse seat. DON'T DO IT!!!!
Plus side? Responded quickly to emails- but not very helpfully really
Don't trust all their feefo praises. You can only write on that if the company invites you!!!

Great, helpful company with the right attitude

We booked tickets to see Phantom of the Opera on 2nd March, due to snowfall we couldn’t travel to London that day. I rang them to explain my situation and spoke to a lovely lady who was most understanding and asked me to provide 3 alternative dates to exchange my tickets for. She contacted me back within half an hour and informed the exchange was done and I can see the show in April again. Most helpful and understanding customer service given the circumstances.

Snow customer service from TTD or Ticket Protection Plan AVOID BOTH

We had booked to see Kinky Boots, March 1st 2018 at the Adelphi weeks ago and were very excited about going, however there was storm Emma and blizzards throughout the UK on the day. When I called the Adelphi Box Office they were very helpful and offered to exchange the tickets for a different performance. However as we had booked through a third party they said I had to ask them to change the tickets. Eventually I managed to contact TTD by phone and about 3 hours later called me back to say the Theatre had refused to change the tickets and all shows in London are going ahead. I then tried the Ticket protection plan we had bought when booking, they also refused to pay out despite an Amber weather warning from the met office our application for refund was refused as there was not an official "DO NOT TRAVEL" warning from Police or Government. In short we decided to brave the elements and took a train into London this journey was slow as the train was delayed and running slowly this meant we arrived into London 40 minutes later than expected. We had a very rushed meal at a restaurant near the Theatre and then enjoyed the performance which was excellent however in the back of our minds we were thinking about if we would be able to get home. Again the journey home was also a lot slower than normal but thankfully we made it back cold and tired!

We only used TTD because we had been giving gift vouchers and after our experience would definitely not use them again nor would I recommend ticket protection plan.

Terrible customer service...awful tone

I've had a really experience dealing with their customer service. I had to change dates, I realised within 5 minutes of ordering and they couldn't help so I wrote to them directly. After a lot of back and forth I have been charged 20% which equated to over £30 pound to change the date of my tickets (in worse seats). The customer service team were so rude, I simply cannot believe the tone of the emails I received and nobody would provide a number to speak over the phone

Huge booking fee on top of Face value price. Won't use again

Using gift vouchers so had to book via the site - huge booking fee of £15.50 on each ticket making a mockery of the value of the gift voucher. I had checked ticket prices on comparable sites and this site is by far and away charging the most. Won't use again and only booked through them in order to redeem £100 which in real terms was only worth £69

Complete and utter rip off - £9 booking fee on £30 tickets!

Do not buy gift vouchers from this site expecting to get the same value in theatre tickets. They will give you a £25 voucher for £25 - but they are adding an arbitrary amount to the price of the tickets they sell. So you'll be spending £25 on tickets that you could have got for much less if you had booked anywhere else. If you try to go through the process of selecting a seat on their website, you will see it - they have one column for "face value" and another for "selling price".

Outrageous.

extremely bad service

I was sent tickets with the wrong date, had to write three emails complaining about it before somebody finally replied to me. and had to pay for the delivery charges to send the wrong tickets back myself. nobody ever even excused for the inconvenience. so in total I had to wait three weeks before I finally got the right tickets.

Awful service, Awful Seats, wish I had never used them.

Took advantage of a special offer for guaranteed best seats in Stalls or Dress Circle. I ended up with restricted view seats at the very back row of the dress circle. If I had known the seats would be this bad I would have spent just £20 more and bought guaranteed good seats. I emailed to ask if I could change my seats and stated I would be happy to pay extra and 24 hours later received a badly written email back (poor grammer, spelling mistakes, looked like a 5 year old had written it). I then called to speak to someone and they were not willing to help me at all. Basically stating it's tough and that I got seats in the area they specified in the special offer. I see this offer as a way of selling off the worst seats in these areas at the best price possible. I will never buy from this company again and I hope they stop trading as they are conning people into paying good money for good seats and then giving bad seats. They would not allow me a refund either so I had no choice to change my seats other than throw £70 in the bin and start again. Not happy at all.
