Web site was very easy to use. I booked 2 courses and was offered an extra space by Elly when someone dropped out. Great communication and I like to be able to pay with PayPal. Looking forward to our sessions at the cake makery.

I learnt loads. I asked multiple questions all of which could be answered. There was no worry when things went wrong, in fact it was better to keep making mistakes so that we could learn how to fix it. I only want to make cakes with and for my children, but the courses I went on were very inspirational. Perfect for a beginner or someone who might want to learn a new way to do things. I really want to return and undertake more courses.

i have just done the 2 day basic cake decoration course. it was brilliant. lou and elly are great. very friendly and welcoming. i was made to feel at ease, i had no previous cake decorating experience, but came away with a lovely decorated cake that has really impressed my family and friends. the teaching was very clear and easy to follow. a thoroughly enjoyable experience, im sure ill be back for another course. thank you. The Couture Cupcakes course is amazing, the finished product looks so professional. Lou is so knowledgeable and patient, we crammed a lot of technique into such a short amount of time, it’s really taught me where I was going wrong with previous products, how to select the correct materials, how to use the tools correctly and overall have fun whilst being creative. Would recommend the course and cannot wait to come back for more sessions. Thanks Lou, Elly and Leslie for a lovely day!

I took the three day double tier cake ,peony,poppy &rose class and all I can say that I loved every minute of it! Lou is just the best teacher you can get ,very knowledgeable and patient,Elly took some amazing pictures for us and Leslie is just the sweetest and most helpful lady,she even dropped me off at the train station!
Can’t wait to go back for another class!

I have completed several of The Cake Makery Courses - the Owner Elly is lovely and her information booklets and communication are second to none.

Lou her master teacher is AMAZING - she is funny, witty, knowledgeable and happy to show and re-explain and go over things again and again yet still keeping the class on track - the decorated cakes i have come home with look amazing - yet a basic knowledge isn't required for some of the courses and they have lots of level of lesson to cater for all.... I am looking forward to my next class !!!!

Leslie the class helper is also lovely- easy going and fun to have in the class and again is wonderful at helping keep on track

What a super way to learn new skills. Fun, relaxed and inspiring. Elly, Lou and the team provide a fantastc experience. From the welcome, and small class size, to the skills and tutorial notes - they have it covered. The pace is just right and is tailored to the different experience levels in the group, the mix of demonstration, practice and tips to fix mistakes made sugar craft seem within reach. What a brilliant 2 days spent at 'The Cake Makery'. I have come away feeling so confident in all I have been taught. We were shown so many tips and tricks, everything was explained and demonstrated beautifully. Really friendly and felt at ease immediately. Ladies.... be warned.. I'll definitely be back 😁

If you have no idea where to start then The Cake Makery is the place to go. A very relaxed and friendly place to learn, the small class size was ideal. I learned how to make a handbag cake with endless hints and tips along the way. A big thank you to Lou and Elly for a great day - I loved it. My family were very impressed.

I have just completed the handbag cake carving course and had a great time and love my handbag cake, Lou, Elly and Lesley were all lovely, very knowledgable and helpful and I learned some great skills to help me with other cakes, highly recommended

Had a really great time and learnt so much. Finished cake looked like a professional had made it and the photography session made it look beautiful. An all around 5 star experience for me and the cake. Can't wait to do another course. Tutor was very patient seeing that I was a first timer!! Recommend to everyone it's brilliant!
