Norwich Branch: My first time going to the Cornish Bakery, the Shakshuka Croissant was lovely and so was the coffee (latte). However, I found the customer service let my experience down. Queued at 8:3... See more

Lovely Bakery!
I come into this bakery nearly everyday as I can’t start my morning without a bacon and cheese croissant! Always greeted with a welcoming smile, lovely members of staff, very quite and polite service x
Great place with lovely staff.
We had a wonderful welcome and good service from Kaley and Julie at the Caledonian branch. The traditional pasties were excellent. Our dog was made a fuss of and it was a good experience being able to go there with him. We’ve been before and will go again as a good stop over on our journeys north.

Takeaway pistachio croissant
Takeaway pistachio croissant, nice idea, eaten 2 hours after purchasing it...my husband and I shared it...the pistachios on top were fine, the filling was ok, but lacking flavour...both of us found the pastry itself very dense. I thought it tasted stale , and the pastry not nearly as buttery-tasting as real French croissants. The bottom of the croissant had no lamination (separate layers of pastry, as there should be in a croissant) whatsoever, and the pastry bottom was soggy (i.e. undercooked).

Disappointing carrot cake…
We are regular users of the Cornish Bakery - visited the Stamford branch today- had usual coffees (these were ok) decided on carrot cake - which we left most of it as it was very dry - would have taken it back but the store had a long queue. Have had this cake numerous times and been lovely.
Wonderful experience at Bude Branch
Perfect Coffee made by a very polite and professional staff member. I do not know her name, but she has a beautiful tattoo on her left inner arm.
Cornish pudding was very nice.
All the female staff and the man with glasses in this branch are always welcoming and make the whole customer experience a pleasure. Management in this branch are clearly doing a good job.
Great food and atmosphere
Went to the one in Taunton today- had a wonderful Spanish tortilla full of veggies and fresh herbs and the croissants & cakes looked amazing. Italian hot choc was great too !! Place was lovely and staff very friendly and helpful- definitely recommend!!
Was lovely and clean
Was lovely and clean. Was greeted Georgia with a lovely smile and service. Pie and sausage rolls were lovely. Coffee is good as well. Would recommend visiting here.
Cinnamon buns to die for
The Cornish Bakery in Swanage may be small but it packs a punch with its pastries and coffee. Coffee was so much better than other well know high street coffee houses and the cinnamon buns were to die for. Some reviews say they are expensive but it’s well worth paying the extra here. The staff are super friendly and attentive.
CORNISH BAKERY FOWEY CONSTANTLY GREAT!!
Always a 5* review with Becki and her team. Great coffee, great pasty’s and yummy pastries, friendly smiley banter, what’s not to like. Well done everyone 👏
Salisbury branch
Salisbury branch. Terrible, slow service, waited 20 mins for my drinks - 2 black coffee, 2 lemonade, 1 water. Meagre pickings of food items. We were eating in but there were no plates. Tables dirty, all plates had been used and were left on the tables it seemed, they had not been cleared. Missing an item when my bags of sandwiches had been handed over, but did not go back for it as did not want to have to deal with the terrible service again.
Cornish pasty not edible
Cornish pasty not edible. Replaced with a beef and onion pie tasted of salt. Tea cold and stewed.
Toilets totaly disgusting. Would not wash my hands in there. Utter fifth. Cash only. Should have thrown my money in the bin
Nothing like the Cornish Bakeries down…
Nothing like the Cornish Bakeries down south. We will not be returning they need to up the standard on food and service.
Dirty crockery and lack of good…
Dirty crockery and lack of good service. Shame as the cafe looks quite chilled and inviting. The strawberry lemonade tastes like liquid penicillin. Only given half an order initially and after waiting items not put on a tray. Unsure why I was expected to carry a pot of tea with cup and saucer and soft drinks. No common sense. Had to return to request milk as it was forgotten. Then at the table realised the cup was very dirty around top of the handle and the spout of the milk jug has regents of what looked like previous hone off milk. Shame but will not be returning.
