We where very sorry to hear that you where not happy with how the hand painted faux antique bronze darker areas of patina where located on the headboard and you would have preferred the darker areas not to have been so noticeable and or in different places but just not on the headboard where they are. With any hand painted faux patina products each one will be different and what makes them unique like the real thing and it's impossible to determine where and how prevalent the patina will be across a hand painted product, just in the same way as a real antique product would patina uniquely and not always where it maybe preferred for the patina to be located. We are also truly sorry that you where disappointed it was not without costs for you to return a change of mind purchase and we would certainly agree it's a good practice to read any websites return policies or speak to the retailer prior to placing an order so there are no surprises leading to disappointment especially for change of mind returns situations. Fantastic all round service
Fantastic service from beginning to end. Great comms from their response to my initial enquiry through to checking delivery. We ordered the grey Nevada double bed and a memory foam mattress. The bed frame had been very popular but stock was checked rapidly and we placed our order when we knew it was available. I left assembly to the teens so I can’t comment on how easy that was but couldn’t have been too hard as there were no arguments :-) The courier company used were excellent too, on time and no packages were damaged. I am always wary ordering from a company that I haven't dealt with before, but after reading the many positive reviews I decided to go for it. I ordered a bed (Frankie midsleeper) for my daughters room. Within a few days of ordering, I was contacted by phone to arrange a delivery date and was given a 3 hour window for the delivery time. On the day of the delivery I was contacted by the driver to advise they were 10 minutes away.
We were really impressed with the quality of the bed, which was being sold for a lot less compared to other websites. However, we did have issues with 2 panels being damaged. But this was quickly resolved by the company and they liaised with the manufacturer for us to get replacement panels sent out. These arrived within a week.
All in all, I cannot fault the service we have received. I would recommend using this company to anyone. A of the communication has been clear and quick. Top marks!

Highly efficient and friendly
Wow! Such an efficient and friendly service. I ordered my Signature Weave patio set on Saturday and it arrived on Thursday morning, including the free outdoor waterproof cover. James ( such a gentleman) kindly phoned me to follow up my order and the courier (Epic) kept me well informed of the delivery slot. I highly recommend this company and would happily use it again.

After searching for the cheapest version of a particular bed frame, The Home And Office Stores was the most competitively priced. Delivery was quick but I did have a small problem. Got in touch with customer services via email and received an almost immediate response. Thanks to James the issue was fixed in no time, LOVE the new bed frame too!

Fab company to deal with
Fab company to deal with, fastest furniture delivery I have ever experienced! Personal service, actual telephone calls to discuss delivery etc instead of just automated emails and very friendly, helpful staff. Love the bunk beds, solid, look beautiful and assembly was straightforward although it took some time as it is a big item! My kids are thrilled and so am I as this was the cheapest price I could find, initially I was unsure as you get what you pay for but the customer service and whole experience was top quality too. Can't fault them and I'm sure I'll be a repeat customer!

Poor customer service, misleading and inaccurate item descriptions
Purchased a chest of drawers described as "WHITE" in item advert. Item arrived and is not WHITE. This company claims there are different shades of WHITE which they failed to mention in the advert so we could make enquiries as to what that means before purchase, the item is not WHITE and clearly noticeable in photos. Despite this, the company refused to resolve this claiming we must pay £35 to return the item even in breach of Consumer Rights for online purchases. An unbaised/objective DULUX online colour identifier states the item colour is HEAVY HAMMOCK and not WHITE. AVOID doing business with this dishonest company!

You must be colour blind if you think what you sold is WHITE. Using an unbiased/objective online colour matching from DULUX with the photos of the item, the colour is described as HEAVY HAMMOCK colour and NOT white. Even by your own comments, you stated there are “different shades” of white, trying to backtrack because you know it is not a pure white even though you advertised as white. Why was this not highlighted in the item description – “a different shade of white” so that we could have made enquiries before we purchased? You stated it is white, which it is not, you misrepresented and misled us and you are responsible for cost of return. The photos I sent do not match the unit colour online, when compared to the White colour Kallax bookshelf IKEA sell, clearly the colour of the product you sent is a eggshell/sand colour which is exactly why the online DULUX colour search states Heavy Hammock. You are dishonest and this will certainly be the last time I purchase from a company like yours. Further we can leave this up to a SECTION 75 dispute to resolve, I have all the evidence necessary. You misrepresented an item, you are liable for return costs.

As the product is a white product of which is a long standing range that has been on sale for over 7 years and is extremely popular the item has not been miss sold in anyway and it is accurately represented in the product photos, even the photo of the unit you provided to us when compared to the products photos provided directly by the manufacturer on our website at the point of sale no visible difference can be seen. Unfortunately white is a difficult colour to colour match as we have tried to explain there are certainly more than 1 shade of white and unfortunately unless you buy all the furniture pieces from the same brand and product range colour mismatches will occur more often than not. We advised you that the return options are to either arrange the change of mind return via your own arranged carrier at your own cost or we kindly offered to organise a carrier collection for you at a cost of £35 for this particular item. Poor quality Parisot Space-Up Double Bed …
I bought a Parisot Space-Up Double Bed from the home and office stores in Harrogate. I found the item online and always try to support the smaller retailer as they NORMALLY give a better knowledgeable service; not in this case!!
I was told it was excellent, it is extremely low quality, it was faulty when delivered, when I mentioned this I was told I have to pay £100 for it to be inspected. I asked to return and I was refused.
12 month later and bits started falling off due to the poor quality. So not only is the bed poor quality the service from The Home and Office Stores was poor and unhelpful.
I would not recommend this retailer...

When this issue was raised to us almost 3 years ago now the bed had been assembled and you reported issues with the floor panels breaking. You where asked to provide photos so the manufacturer could asses the problem of which they did and they advised us from the information you provided the bed frame had been incorrectly assembled but as a gesture of good will replacement panels where offered to you by us. You then advised us that the panels would be of no use to you as you had also glued the entire bed frame together of which was not part of the assembly and invalidated your products warranty. You disagreed with the manufacturers decision advising the bed had been fully correctly assembled even though you had also glued the whole bed together of which will result in further issues as the bed can not flex as it was manufactured to do so. The manufacturer offered to do a home inspection at a fully returnable cost which was £160 not £100 if they found it to be a product fault rather than an assembly fault. Again although you where addiment it had been fully correctly assembled you refused the refundable home inspection by the manufacturer and advised you wanted us to send someone to your home, break the bed apart, take it away and bring you a new bed and assemble it for you or give you a full refund and allow you to keep the bed frame which can never be taken apart. Unfortunately both these solutions where not reasonable requests from you as the bed from the manufacturers assessment and your own admission of gluing it all together had been incorrectly assembled and this was not a product fault. Unforatuanlly due to your own actions including gluing the entire bed frame together you really did not leave us any scope to be able to help you and we certainly can not be expected to offer a return or replacement product under these circumstances. From online point of sale thru to delivery my experience with this company has been excellent. My wife and I are severely disabled and as such needed lots of notice for delivery, home and office called me back within 5 minutes of emailing them, now that is customer service how it should be done. The item itself came well packed and delivered, and while the delivery was slightly delayed a quick phone call to home and office and they assertained it was heavy traffic again they couldn't be more helpful, the delivery driver was very helpful and as we were disabled he even put the bed indoors for me WOW given the covid times we live in, so special mention to the delivery driver. All in all 5 stars and I would have no problem recommending them to others. And I myself shall be ordering from them in future, we'll done home and office

The only bad point I would say we did not receive emails with any update on the order but I am sure that this is a minor point that can easily be rectified. We placed the order of 2 desks (of which one was a birthday present). The adviser that was always available to talk to us with an update, James, was fantastic, patient, polite, helpful - just brilliant. The desks arrived the day before my brother's birthday which he was chuffed about. The desks are brilliant, sturdy, strong, the light adds a wonderful touch to it. (a battery to test the light would have been nice but hey no big deal). We would definitely recommend The Home and Office Stores and the price was very good. The driver was good too so let's not forget about him. People who advised that they can't put the desks together need to review their DIY skills, my 18 year brother built them both up so.....Thanks James for your help and thanks to all at The Home and Office Stores despite the crisis we all been through.

Excellent service, great communication & arrived earlier than expected.
I bought my set during a very busy time (during pandemic) but this did not slow down their service. They were on the ball and gave me calls to update me on the progress of my order.
Set arrived yesterday and we're very excited to build this and enjoy in some hopefully good weather to come!
