Placed an order online on 21/05/2023. This was for an outdoor Bergahus Jacket which totalled to £120. Item was sent with Royal Mail and when opening the parcel I realised this was not the item I ordered. It was a a blue Berghaus Fleece not matching the description for the item I ordered. Called the customer services team and spoke to multiple staff members. Very dismissive and poor customer service. They put me through to Kevin, the individual who dealt with the returns. I repeatedly told him this was not an issue on my side and that I hadn’t got mixed up with an item from elsewhere. He advised to send pictures of the item that arrived. They informed me I needed to send the item back and I would then be refunded. Unfortunately the same item was not in stock so couldn’t order it again. Once the incorrect item arrived at their warehouse, an email was sent to me saying the weight didn’t match and I also didn’t send the item back in its original packaging. How could I? I had teared the package open. They looked for an excuse to throw this into myself. Kevin asked me for pictures of the item, the labelling, the transparent bag. No accountability whatsoever, they explained that they are a small family company and couldn’t afford to take losses. The incorrect item was sent to me and nothing was done to resolve it. I am now in a position where a claim has been raised to Royal Mail. Raised a report with the police, crime reference obtained and called back in. Spoke to the ‘owners wife’ who again was very rude and did not allow me to speak. I’ve now been told not to contact The Outdoorist as further contact will be ignored. They have my £120 payment and also the incorrect item they sent.

I purchased a beautiful jacket from theoutdoorist and to say I am pleased is an understatement! My jacket was delivered quickly, was nicely packaged and I was kept up to date with tracking details too. Huge thanks for your fabulous service and item, I highly recommend this excellent shop to all and I look forward to buying from you again. Perfect A+++😊

I'm picky and my pickiness means I know exactly what I want, and it's always of higher quality and I always want to pay a lower price than average. Life rarely gratifies me in my quest.
But The Outdoorist did. Got some really perfect Red Wing mocs at a very competitive price. And in so doing, received some outstanding telephone support for my online purchase from Shelley who helped clarify the process, was friendly without being intrusive and made the whole thing into a feelgood experience.

I was unsure on the site with it not having a ton of reviews but I can confirm it is a legit store. I bought some yeti mugs and paid for speedy delivery, within 24 hours I had my package! I would happily use the site again and recommend to anyone

I recently ordered a carhartt jacket off this website at a really reasonable price and the product is real as can tell by the quality. The following morning I had placed the order I received an email to say my order had been processed and then another email informing me that it had been collect by royal mail and the expect within 1-3 days (which it did. It came in 2 days). Also in that email was the tracking number and a link to royal mail website where to track your parcels. Overall really convenient very easy and reliable service. I highly recommend and will be using their services again

Considering the lack of reviews I was very skeptical of the website. However, I ordered a carhartt beanie and its 1. Less costly than the actual carhartt website 2. You have the option of express delivery and 3. Active updates of your purchase and delivery notifications. Would recommend especially as it seems like a small business.

They have very good prices across the site. I bought trainers that were much cheaper than elsewhere.

After accidentally ordering the wrong size coat, I ordered the correct size on the 22nd December choosing next day and sure enough, despite all the commotion with post this Christmas, it arrived on the 23rd. Plus, they emailed me to confirm they received the returned item and that they'd issued the refund. They really are a great company!
