Entertaining and Illuminating
Wonderfully entertaining and illuminating; a delightful sidestep out of the maelstrom. It is calming and humorous. The resultant internal narrative is akin to having Alain as one's imaginary best friend. And who does not want that?!
SOL is great but logging in from their emails is cumbersome and problematic.
Opening your app from your emails is continually problematic. Your current login set up is cumbersome, requiring way too many steps. I frequently give up. Most bothersome, the email articles from which I try open the app, if it opens, often opens with the article I want to read nowhere in sight. Please have your web team simplify your login processes.
Love it.
The subscription is so much worth it! So much interesting information for every aspect of our lives.
The Most Relatable Articles About Navigating Life
Thanks for making me feel Im not the only one struggling and riding this rollercoaster called life. Relating to almost every topic makes me more hopeful about myself and my future. Also thanks for not being one of those superficial “Think positive and your dreams will come true” kinda content.

A perspective from older age
I'm 75 and have spent most of my life coming to terms with an "unusual" childhood and adolescence. The School of Life has tied together strands of psychology, philosophy, and personal growth into a coherent accessible whole. I look forward to the regular, balanced and thoughtful pieces.

If you’re looking for a blend of…
If you’re looking for a blend of straight talk and deep compassion, The School of Life is a powerful resource. I’ve integrated their work into both my personal life and my consulting practice, as our approaches to making sense of humanity align. That said, if you prefer high-energy motivational events that offer temporary inspiration without more profound reflection, The School of Life may not be the right fit for you. And that’s okay--different paths resonate with different people. But if you’re ready to engage with the core of your humanity and cultivate lasting contentment, their work is well worth exploring.
Really good quality content
Really good quality content , easy enough to digest as bite size parts , which are quirky, interesting and makes you both think and act - hopefully!

Best money I spend all year. When I need to feel elevated, reassured, and that it's all going to be okay, I go to the School of Life.
Marvellous essays.
The linguistic style of essays written or spoken by Alain de Botton is so attractive, heart-reaching and enlightening.

My best alternative to social media. Bitesize wisdom on the go!
Another app - but it’s worth it
Much as ‘Phone distraction’ is a modern problem, this app provides a daily ‘shot’ of wide interest articles/audio/prompts which has a positive impact.
Life-changing
Really thought-provoking, supportive and inspiring content. I access the app on an almost-daily basis and the articles/videos always resonate with me. I particularly like the facility to save content and that the homepage is tailored to the individual user. Highly recommend to anyone seeking personal growth and comfort.
