No problem with the ordering or the delivery, but the quality of the 12mm hardwood ply is awful.

1) lots of handling damage.
2) delamination of the plys is HORRIFIC.

probably ok if you just need it as a flat panel, but absolutely not if you want to make anything out of it.

You get what you pay for....this was £10 cheaper than Wickes which is great.....but sooo many headaches. I never had these issues at wickes and the quality of my project is definitely compromised.

can’t trust to buy again in future.

I purchased a 6mm ply from The Timber Group (High Wycombe branch) 20 days ago. Unfortunately, the staff provided the wrong size. When my builder came 10 days ago to start the work, he identified the issue.

Despite the delay being due to their own mistake, when I returned to the branch to resolve the matter, the manager and staff acknowledged that the product was indeed theirs—but not what was invoiced. Even then, they refused to accept a return or issue a refund, blaming the time passed since the purchase.(Invoice no: HW/40699529)

The entire experience was frustrating and exhausting. Not only did they waste my time and energy, but the branch manager was extremely dismissive, unhelpful, and showed little to no respect for customer service. I was left with no option but to leave the incorrect item in their office, without any resolution or refund.

This was entirely the staff’s fault, and the manager's unwillingness to resolve the issue reflects very poor standards of professionalism. I have never dealt with a more uncooperative and customer-unfriendly manager in any business. A truly disappointing experience with The Timber Group.

Well like to say the high wycombe branch has some amazing people too many to name all but really special thanks firstly to Alina who has an awesome sense of humour and then the bible of timber and bounty of knowledge that is Dean. Well Dean helped me when I first started my own business and since then I always use them for any quotes and projects and they always have the right answers and always go above and beyond

Bought railway sleepers from Maidstone branch , with great service from John ,absolutely first class advice , the order was delivered spot on the time given , if I could give more stars I would recommend timber group, the timber is great quality and couldn't be more happy with the product

I bought some fence posts and shiplap cladding from the High Wycombe branch. Darren talked me through my options, I ordered online and the delivery was made a couple days later. The timber is of a good quality, the price was good and the delivery driver was superb. I have a couple more projects planned and wouldn’t think twice about buying from them.
