Trade Mark Wizards have been very easy to deal with. They've been great at explaining things in plain terms, giving advise and recommendations, getting back to me almost instantly and have made the whole process very easy. I highly recommend them.

I am the owner of a business that provides foreign currency exchange services and I instructed Oliver Oguz to register our trade mark, LINK FX.

During the application process, I received two third party objections from powerhouse businesses that owned very similar trade marks.

The first was a challenge from the world’s largest advertising agency who’s parent company has a turnover of five billion US dollars.

The second obstacle was that formal trade mark proceedings were commenced against my application by the world’s largest payment clearing platform, which last year processed over 10 billion transactions, having a combined value of over 10 trillion pounds.

Both of these disputes were quickly defeated and overcome by legal and commercial negotiations, which focused on obtaining protection for my trade mark without weakening the scope of my legal rights, whist at the same time, avoiding the progression of legal proceedings.

When I set up SO we create over eight years ago I knew at some point I would want the brand registered as a trade mark.

I found Trademark Wizards after being in a very bad situation applying for a trademark with a different company. After applying for the trademark with the original company there was an opposition against my trademark application. The original company who could apply for trademarks, but not deal with oppositions as they had no trademark lawyers in their company passed me onto a second company of theirs to deal with the matter who charged ridiculous prices just for talking to them, and essentially got me no closer to actually getting my trademark and seemed to just waste time and then charge me for it!

I would like to thank Oliver and his team at Trademark Wizards for all their hard work sorting out our trade mark. For us we thought it was simple. We call ourselves Superior Stone because we truly believe we supply and install the best material and workmanship and by calling yourself such a top name it sets the bar high.
What we found was this means nothing in the trade mark world. How they see it is that that we are just two very separate names “Superior” and “Stone” and therefore nothing special. Oliver’s team however fought a good fight (even if it was mind numbing for us at times). They went about proving our brand with photos of works, photos of our logo, dates of invoices, we did not make it easy as we don’t really advertise (95% of our work is word of mouth or repeat business) with all this evidence trademark wizards proved that our name and logo was a legitimate trade mark. It has made us even more proud of our name.

I submitted a UK trademark application at the UK IPO for a company based in India. After submitting the application, the IPO immediately notified me that there was a another similar trademark and they informed me that they would have to notify the other trademark owner of my client's application.

Both this other company and also one other eventually opposed the trademark application and as they were both quite sizeable companies with similar and questionable trademarks, I thought it best to seek some expertise on the subject.

I did a Google search and found the Trade Mark Wizards website which was succinct and seemed professional so without looking at any other trademark companies I called them from my mobile and spoke to Oliver. He informed me about the situation we may be in which confirmed more or less what I believed.

Oliver gave advice over and beyond what I asked for, gave options to progress matters and also their professional opinion from their experience.

With the advice from Oliver, an outline of their history and clients, I convinced my client to take another approach to an international trademark project. which may not have been easy for most clients to accept but after careful contemplation seemed to be the most practical way forwards.

Whether you are a sole trader or a multi national organisation, I simply do not believe that you need not go anywhere else for your trademark needs.

To be honest I must admit that the name of the company and the low costs made me think initially that it was possibly just a "cheap" trademark registration company with not much expertise compared to a big law firm.

How wrong I was...the prices are cheap, but the company are unbelievably good at what they do. They know everything there is to know about trademarks.
