You spend £100 on a tree that has a wonderful description but you don’t know what you’re actually getting until it arrives, so it’s pot luck. You wouldn’t do that with spending this sort of money on anything else, would you?
I got a nice tree but a lot smaller than expected, Apical stem had been cut, which restricts growth (height). I wanted a tall tree for shade which is exactly why I ordered a tall one, as per description!
I paid over £100 for a £70 tree, sent by a third party.
I was going to bulk buy hedging plants but they’re even more ridiculously priced! Local company here does them for half the price.
Not the best company and not the best customer service. I’d buy somewhere else next time.
In response to the customer service comedian, I got a 12l container 1.7m high (incl pot) tree priced at £72 on Matthews website, sent directly from Matthews but I paid £104 for it. I paid for a taller tree because that’s what I wanted. It’s priced at £70 in the garden centres and garden centres aren’t usually cheap.
Website should state it’s a Matthews 12litre tree (not 1.8m - 2.2m) but the customer pays £104 through trees-online instead of £72. What a joke.
Oh and cutting the apical stem stimulates lateral growth making it more bushy, not taller. I went for the tallest tree because I wanted tall one.

Great customer service. I ordered a fig tree back in March (a little bit early on in the season for it to be delivered when available in April and it was a very cold March and April to be fair).
Tree arrived bare but I had hope it would start to bloom come late spring. Unfortunately it never did I contacted trees-online for advice and gave it another week as the temperatures warmed up but it never came to life. I emailed for further care advice and before I had even seen their reply a new leafy, happy tree was delivered to my surprise.
Couldn’t be happier :)

Simply fabulous service from trees-online and especially Alan. After the unfortunate demise of a willow tree they were great in sharing their view, providing advice and engaging with the grower to provide me a discounted replacement. Simply customer service you don't tend to see these days. Highly recommended and many thanks.

3 magnificent swamp cypresses arrived at dawn today. Not a twig was damaged and all 3 are the best specimens I have ever seen. They were also almost twice the size of the ones I ordered and paid for. They arrived promptly. I know that they will thrive in our muddy soil because I have a big one which is a superb specimen. Thanks for your efficiency, quality, generosity and humour.

I ordered a variety of Silver Birch that will not grow too large for my garden, good advice from Alan at time of purchase (Sep 2021) and again late last year, successfully identifying the variety of moth eating the leaves from a photograph (good news is no harm to the tree). Very helpful in getting the tree to the Isle of Wight, and so well packaged. The personal touch you find here is so very rare these days, a lesson in good customer service

Difficult to beat ! Excellent service from start to finish. We ordered 6 trees, they were all delivered within a few weeks, very nice appearance. They kept us informed throughout, & made the whole process fun!

I ordered 3 wisteria plants and was delighted to receive an email to say that as the size I ordered was out of stock, they would deliver 3 larger plants. The plants arrived this week and I have planted them today. They were very healthy and arrived in good condition. I am very pleased and will definitely use this company again.

The Royal Medlar arrived last night, in time for my wife's birthday today - I appreciated what Alan did to make it happen. We are delighted with it and are already planning where it will go in our garden.

I know Alan has had some bad reviews on Trustpilot but in my opinion, it's obvious that he is in the hands of his suppliers when it comes to dispatch and information about orders. Customers should appreciate that living items like trees are not the same as factory manufactured goods and cannot be simply handed to Parcelforce or DPD.

I want to thank Alan for supplying a lovely tree, at a fair price and for communicating with me, giving the best information at his disposal.

I just wanted to update about a grapevine I purched from Trees online, The grapes I am getting are fantastic I like big grapes so reluctantly cut off lots to make sure only 2 bunches max on each branch, and still I get loads,you really need to get one from them fruit is fantastic, and the taste, You won't want shop brought again, they do fruit trees as well and the fruit from then is same,and come in different sizes,you can't beat going in garden and picking and eating REALLY FRESH fruit. Just take a look at fruits and vines on there site You will find one to suit you, and with prices going up in shops,what better way to beat those shop prices growing your own, won't let me put 2021 but this is when I purchased vine not 2023

Bought a blossom tree in February and it is thriving beautifully! There is a wide selection of trees and deliver6 is free which is always a bonus. The downside is the commentary on the website is so brilliant, I spend more time laughing at this than looking at trees! 😀

Very happy. I’ve got 20 odd metres of fence that I want to line with a hedge and ordered a wildlife-friendly hedging pack from Trees Online, along with some additional crab apple and hornbeam saplings. The order arrived very promptly and the baby trees look very healthy, arriving as nice wet plugs for easy planting. I’ll now be obsessively watering, checking and watching them grow.

Ordering and receiving a tree from Trees Online was a positive experience. The staff there answered my queries promptly and clearly and with good humour. At the last minute I could not be home when the tree was delivered. They kindly relayed my email instructions to the nursery delivery folks and I got home to find the tree right at the designated spot in the far corner of my back garden. A beautiful tree, too. I look forward to its companionship for years to come. When I need another tree, I’ll be sure to shop with trees online again.

Trees online offer an excellent range of trees at competitive prices, without compromising on the quality or health of their stock.
Communication from them is beyond excellent, as is the speed of processing.
Lastly, the personalised ‘communiqués‘ from Alan put a smile on my face when I read them.
All in all a thoroughly efficient and pleasant transaction that puts more trees in the ground. What more could one ask?

Received a great quality tree.

I ordered a Medlar tree from trees-online.co.uk. The size i ordered was out of the stock. Rather than cancel my order they kindly sent me the next size up. The tree i received was far larger than expected! It's in good condition and growing happily in my garden.

Great service end to end! Alan recommended me a tree that ticked my requirements. Delivery spot on , packaging was in perfect condition on arrival. The tree was planted following the recommendation, looks healthy in my garden now, can't wait to see if it will bear any fruits this year considered it was plannted mid Februarry. It was an Aprisali.

My order of tree saplings arrived promptly and in good condition. The root plugs made planting easy and they appear to be doing fine.
