Truly outstanding customer service. They are extremely quick to deal with any questions or issues. You can occasionally find things for slightly cheaper elsewhere, but I would say it is worth buying from them because if there are any issues with the product or anything like that, they will sort it out. They also have a very well-designed website, with everything listed in weight order which is extremely useful.

Great product at a great price and with quick delivery.

Unfortunately, if ordering from mainland Europe, you have all taxes and fees to pay as extra when your package arrives, but this company does not make it clear before finalising your order. i wanted to buy a specific backpack, internet gave me their ad, and I browsed and their prices were in Euros. I thought they were in mainland Europe. When checking out, and giving my address, there was no notification that hey, for your country you will be paying extra charges such as taxes and fees which are pretty inportant (like add +50% of the price paid), as we are a UK company and for all Europe mainland shipping the extra duties have to be paid by you!
Other companies in the UK (eg. Sportshoes) that used to have international deliveries to mainland Europe have made an all duties/taxes paid policy, so you can still order from them from the UK and receive it like a European package, no extra VAT or fees and taxes. I have shopped with them before and after brexit the same way, never having to pay extra fees and VAT.
So shopping with ultralight gear is not a pleasant experience. Why show your prices in Euros? That makes it very confusing. I definitely wont be shopping with them. I am loosing about 60 euros on a 110 euro item. With VAT and taxes and delivery, it would have been a total of nearly 200 euros.
Also, DHL, the delivery company rushes you to accept their fees for managing the vat and tax procedure, but they do not give you exact prices just a list of a lot of different prices and fees, and they give you a 6hr time slot to decide since notification (7pm til 1am). No way to contact them, or the seller at night of course to get any information on prices fees or returns.. very very bad experience.

Love this company, great delivery speeds, excellent range of products not always available in the UK. Reliable.

Slick, helpful customer service

Amazing customer service, rapid shipping and they do such a good job of personally describing each product and their verdict on the website. The selection of products is second to none and they're really great, helpful people by email. I wouldn't shop elsewhere online in the UK - hands down the best.

Just wanted to thank this company for their fantastic customer service. I ordered a present for Father's Day 8 days before. It was sent first thing Monday morning by Royal Mail 48 hr. By Tuesday it was at RM depot but then the tracking stopped updating. By Friday there was still no delivery or tracking update so I emailed the company. They responed straight away and sent a repeat order by next day delivery which arrived just in time for Father's Day. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

I cannot rate this outdoor retailer highly enough - if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! I've used them a lot recently and as the experience has been so good I'm thinking of not using anyone else now - its my go-to from hereon. The product range is broad, diverse, and the prices are competitive; the listings are detailed and include UOG's own experienced assessment of each and every item which offers balanced and informed accounts that really help focus your decision-making processes. For weight-conscious travellers UOG are second to none since they rank products by weight as well as genre so you get to issues of quality quickly which (let's face it) plague ultralight gear. Dispatch is like lightning and the items are very well packaged. On the one occasion when something didn't arrive in the best condition they offered me another and in fact better replacement option since they didn't have the original item in stock any longer; this is how far they are prepared to go to placate the customer and you rarely see that. Returns are processed and refunded at the same speed as dispatch - like lightning. The customer service is generally impeccable: staff get back to you immediately and their responses are polite and reflexive; you get the impression nothing is too much trouble. I only wish there were more companies like this out there!

The range of products and the ability to add filters including weight is useful. Overall a fantastic shopping experience.

Always get accurate and useful information on the products including an accurate weight. Despatch and delivery is always prompt and returns when needed have been simple and processed in a timely manner.

Easy to shop and fast delivery

Ultralight Outdoor Gear is like something from my dreams. I have no idea how many hours I have spent in my life trying to figure out the weight of a product and then comparing them across different sites and distributers to work out the true values.

I am a thru hiker and I also have a family member with scoliosis so lightweight gear is a number one priority. This site has changed everything for me. Not only can you sort through available products by weight, but you can easily filter through according to your budget.

The cherry on top was how once you've picked your products the combined weight is totalled for you in the basket. It usually takes me hours to find the right product but this time I had found my new summer sleeping bags in no time at all (Sea to Summit-Spark 7C/45F Down Sleeping Bag).

Love the tried and tested reviews and trust the site - I don't intend on shopping anywhere else for my gear.

We finally took the plunge and purchased a Hilliberg Allak3. With a last minute visit to the showroom we could pitch it and get a good feel for it.

The service was excellent, hospitality was on-point. Since these guys are a small company, they can provide a more personal touch compared to bigger retail chains.

Will definitely be going back for future gear.
