We finally took the plunge and purchased a Hilliberg Allak3. With a last minute visit to the showroom we could pitch it and get a good feel for it.

The service was excellent, hospitality was on-point. Since these guys are a small company, they can provide a more personal touch compared to bigger retail chains.

Will definitely be going back for future gear.

Great site, good stock and I've bought many items from them.

BUT on the two occasions I've needed to contact Customer Services, I've been very disappointed with their poor response and frankly a total lack of 'helpfulness'.

Once I had a product issue and it took ages to get a replacement agreed as I had to fight for it.

Recently a product order went wrong and instead of just helping to fix the issue they gave lots of excuses for why the error occurred which didn't help me one teeny bit to get the item I needed.

Amazing customer service. Contacted Ultralight today about a product I'd bought and got a really quick response with options. Very helpful. Thanks

The product was shipped extremely quickly, the quality of the goods is excellent, the staff is very friendly, and they also offer great prices on top-quality products.

Got a bag that was oversized. My niece put a slipper in the bag before I returned it. Ultralight outdoor gear refunded the bag and returned the slipper. They were ultra polite and rapid.

I have bought a lot of stuff over the years from Ultralight, they are competitive on price, have a good stock of the major brands, and are very helpful and knowledgeable, several times saving me money and heartache by steering me in the right direction. However, what I rate the highest is their customer service and their speed of dispatch.

Inevitability, I have had minor problems with gear, and the way these have been dealt with just makes me feel a very valued customer, and that is why I return again and again. Additionally, I commend their web site as being so easy to navigate. One of the best in their field.

Bought some packing cubes which were hard to find in the UK. Although a bit disappointed with the limited selection, really pleased to find a UK retailer. Great delivery, etc.

I've bought a few things from Ultralight Outdoor Gear and they never fail to impress. You are pretty much guaranteed that all the stuff for sale is top quality and lightweight. Orders arrive promptly.

There are thorough reviews about each item on their website. Also the filter facility on the website is really useful.

It's always the first website I go to for lightweight hiking and camping gear.

Not always the very cheapest, but sometimes you have to pay a wee bit more for a great service.

Simple, non-fussy web site (a bit Web 1.0 but none the worse for that)
Gear is default sorted by weight which makes a nice change (rather than pushing 'recommended' or 'most popular' products)
Great range of brands at very competitive prices
Very fast despatch - usually the same day.
Default courier is Evri, which could be a nightmare for some, and used to be for me.
However since creating a ULOG online account there are multiple delivery options, including Royal Mail 48 for free, so all is now good
Have used ULOG several times and will use them again in the future

What excellent service. I had unfortunately lost the lid to my life straw. I contacted a number of companies including life straw themselves. It was This business that responded with true customer care sourced a replacement and provided this at no cost (I had fully expected and would have been happy to pay). They were responsive, incredibly helpful, persistent in tracking one down and incredibly kind. I couldn’t recommend them more highly and I will definitely use them again. I only “do” reviews in exceptional circumstance, and this was one.

Arrived quickly. Excellent item but doesn't fit me well so sadly I have to return it.
